Everything I teach has to make sense to the horse; help to reduce tension; gain confidence and understanding; and gain a connection with you.
It doesn't matter what stage you are at in your horsemanship. My focus on putting your horses mind before the body offers a different approach to horsemanship and I hope to be able to help you help your horse to be more relaxed, willing and happier because of that.

good float training video and nice to see that you can make the horse do the cha cha cha in and out of the float, as so important that the horse has full confidence and trust in you in all stages of float training.

    Thanks so much!
    Couple of questions.
    1. How would you handle the in and out practice with a step-up float?
    That is what I have.
I will have to measure the depth of the step and add it here.
    2. What type of halter would you recommend hauling in?
I use a flat halter with a breakaway poll.
    3. What type of tie do you recommend?
The tie I have has strong velcro closures so that if a horse pulls hard enough the tie will separate with a portion of the tie remaining attached to the halter.
    4. Do you think a horse should have hay in front of them when trailering?
    5. I sometimes trailer without the horse being tied.
I like the thought of them being able to lower their heads.
    Thanks again! :-)
