I don't see this crack down on AI as something negative, actually positive in the long run. That being said, I do hope Amazon will allow for some form of AI integration within the products being made by pubishers. For instance, I like to write campfire stories, but I am not that good in designing. So lets say I write a book about outdoor hiking and backpacking, and I need a book cover. I'd like there to be an option where I can use AI generated content for the book cover, and I can check a box where it states Book cover AI generated, inside all original, or something similar. I even think it would be a good idea for Amazon to let publishers state in their books, which parts are AI generated and not, so customers will get the most honest experience.
What's your view on that?

what if an AI-assisted book was already published before these new rules? I checked the detials of the book and no option appears to inform if A was used partially to edit the book.
Per Amazon they don't require to know that. Watch again 🙂

Thank you for this - I just posted on your other video, but after watching this one I have modified my quiery. You state that using AI to help generate the description is ok - So you would not consider this a SECTION that nees to be disclaimed to AMAZON? Additionally, using part of this sales copy on the back cover of a book (Public Domain). Would you consider the description on the back cover of a PD book to be a 'section' of the book?
Description would be separate to the book and I also say that even better would be altering the copy to make it your own. And anything that goes on the back of the cover would be part of the book in my opinion.
Amazon put out an AI description generation tool for product descriptions on FBA end. It will make it to KDP eventually. So, no, they don't care if your description is AI generated. They may prefer it to be using their tool however.
Ai assistant is always the best way to create things.
What about Coloring pages generated by Canva are those considered public domain or can i say that i own the copyright over those photos ??
i do generate most of my books with ai, with these new ai rules, there are many option for you to select about what degree of ai you used to write your book, for now i'm worried, though the book was been approved by amazon after i selected the option that suite my book.
You only need to select for new books and books you update. (At least for now)
What if you create covers for books and journals with Midjourney then edited in Canva. Would this be considered AI assisted?
That's AI generated, because the original design was made with AI. AI assisted would be if you created the cover in Canva then used the AI to edit the image you provide it.

I generated a character for a children's book from MJ, the background and the rest of the book is done in another program without AI. I simply made this combination original. Is such a thing ok even though I did not edit this character?

I am not sure but I guess they don't use AI. If you use our free low content book maker I can tell you for sure that is not AI based.

Depends. If you say it's by AI that's all they require. But make sure it's high quality and correct information.
