My name is Dr.Mandakini Lahiri, an Indian Classical Vocalist ,disciple of Padmabhushan Pandit Rajan Sajan Misra ji.
This video is based on "CHOTA KHAYAL" of Raag Yaman. It's a composition based on Shringaar Rasa (One of the Nav-Rasa). Here the lady is expressing her love to her beloved . sugharva means beautiful. She is asking to her beloved to get her a chunari (Dupatta)of 100 colours and also get her bangles too of different colour. It shows love and affection.I have shared every detail of how to sing the khayal. It is a madhya laya bandish based on 120 bpm initially.There are many students who don't know how to sing along with taal concept on hand . So, I have covered every inch of detail study.
