I am so excited!! I’ve played the Forest for years now, and have been fortunate to experience its tremendous growth way back before we had even poison arrows and bone fences. The ride has been so enjoyably awesome and TF will forever be top 3 survival games EVER, but I’m ready-we’re all ready-for Sons of the Forest!

I’m a console player that downloaded the forest on PS4 without knowing anything about it. I had never played a survival game at that point (now I’ve played as much of the genre on console as possible)
I’m so geeked for Sons to come to console. I’m not jealous of the PC community. I’m actually excited for y’all to do your thing and help the devs make the best fn game.
I’m hoping to eventually have a pc set up. I just can’t do it right now which sucks.

How will server hosting work? I had not played the predecessor but hows it work if you and your friends might not play at the same time?

There are no servers. Host makes a multiplayer save, when host is on people can join. When host is off so is the “server”

DayZ was great before they started wiping official servers because everyone was crying that they couldn’t kill the people with nice guns so they said everyone should lose their guns so I can get them. They ruined that game.

I'm just so confused as to why it's not properly multiplayer?!
It'll fall flat very quickly with it only being coop 4 player, no real random encounters like Day Z/ARK/Rust

Woman, there is a difference between random encounter games and sandbox, you have to separate the two.
Day Z is NOT like this because Sons of the forest has 0 player vs player servers! Thats huge!
Here are the categories you SHOULD have used.
Grounded/Minecraft/Sons of the Forest are different to,
Day Z/ ARK/ Rust, different genres lady!
