Hi John, just recieved the head unit and going through the wiring I noticed that there is an external mic input. It's on plug connector A, connections A19 and A20. I noticed you are not using plug A. I am going to try the external video and audio outputs to our TV which is on this plug and will add an external mic and see if it works.
The Zenecs days are numbered 👍
Update, now fitted and I can confirm the external microphone works.

Great video John. I literally bought the same stereo last night and see that you've done a review.
To compliment your review i wanted to add 2 things-
1- An adapter loom is available on ebay for around a fiver to preventall that soldering...search "iso android adapter"
2- You stream DAB over the internet using wifi however there's an option to buy a USB DAB adapter for around £20. That with an app with give it the capability without using wifi.
All in all a great review. I'm so glad you took the time to explain the launcher app that you use.

I use Torque and Sygic on an Android tablet. Torque connects to a Bluetooth OBD2 scanner and lets me setup extra instruments as well as read fault codes. Sygic is a navigation app. I’ve also got Viewranger for OS maps, and I’ve paid for some detailed maps that were handy when driving in the Lake District. It doesn’t do navigation but has great maps.

Great pointer thanks John. Fitted and working in my X250 converting from the original Single Din unit. Not quite as much frame available to screw to in my case probably because I was converting from Single Din, so having experimented and struggled with a cheap Double Din Box I bought a CT23FT29 KIT from Data Dynamics which makes fitting much easier and neater. Ignore the website year restrictions, when received the box label says Citroen, Peugeot, Ducato 6/2006>

One thing with that i've never managed to understand how to put the road closed notification on it, it can still say there's incidents 20 mins after clearing too. The Police seem to use it, as soon as you put they're there, if they're using a speed detection device they move location so fast you don't see them for the dust.

Hi John, what did you do with the Blue and Me module? mine is faulty and is making the the odometer flash so I'm thinking of ditching the factory head unit in favour of something like this one. Did you encounter any CAN bus problems or need to get the modules written out etc.
