I’ve been skating for a long time, vert, ramps, rails, street, offroad (coyote skates), Etc…I never really did try to do slalom before but after I saw your video “the art of slalom” I was left speechless. It’s just amazing the way you gracefully move around the cones! I’ve been practicing slalom for about 4 months now and it just gets better and better every time. I’m so glad you decided to share your videos with the rest of the world, they inspire with your moves and your beauty. MD
you are such amazing, i just have been two days rolling and has been really difficult to me cause i fall all the time, but watch you has been an inspiration to me thanks! :) i will continue practicing
vault/volt. quite easy once you have the hang of it. start by learning to go backwards, then go on your backfoot toewheel, pivot on it and bring the front foot around on the outer edge. improtant to keep your posture straight and rotate your shoulders in the direction of motion. It'll take a while to get it to look that nice though!
Afrikansuperman Well ! I'm a real rider now, so good feeling !! I can do a lot in slalom practice and free ride ! There are a few videos online, but I need to take time and post some new ones ;)
Afrikansuperman Hey ! If you're interested, I suggest you to follow my adventure in Gwada with my partner on Rider Trippin Channel or "Laloo Trippin" Playlist ! Tell me guys what you think ! :)
Oh and features: Rigid frame connected solidly to the boot - it's also shorter than what a rec or fitness skate will have. Usually this is 243mm or 231mm. Everything is adjustable and customizable By the same token, all parts are replaceable. If properly sized, they're very responsive because of how close they follow your foot shape and the stiffness of everything. This is what this skate is famous for. That sums it up, but like I said, it's not necessary until you feel limited by your gear.
It looks like she has a pair of Seba High skates, which are some of the best skates for slalom. I'm saving up for a pair myself. I hear they give good ankle support and are ridiculously snug and comfortable once broken in. In the mean time, you can learn most if not all the moves on any kind of skate. Granted, it's a lot easier on skates designed for it, but as long as you have a snug fit (so your foot doesn't slide around) (preferably with rockered wheels) and a decent surface, you can do it!
what kind of rollerblade i must have to do those tricks? I can do some tricks like 180, 360 stay on one wheel and basic figures of slalom but i have a very basic pair of roller. Can I do this figures on an aggressive pair? thx for the attention
I'd like to take some classes with u ! xoxoxo...I started to practice slalom a few days ago...not practice ,just trying ! But in fact...I think that is a little hard to learn. However I keep trying whenever I can ! I liked your video! Congrats!
OMG... Hope to skate like that some day. Too bad you are so far away from where I stand now... I shall try and learn from your videos. Thanks... very motivating.
wow.. That is Dublin, right? I have been there in 2010 to study English. Yellow city buses, those green Dublin Bus Tour, Dart train crossing over Liffey river, Customs House in the beginning of the video and I am not sure but I think you were practicing it on Stephen's Green south. Such an amazing city! Miss it so much! By the way... Congratulations for your slalom! You make it look so easy!
wow, amazing, but can any one tell me what skates are better...roller skates (2 by 2) or roller blades (4 in line)??? mostly for speed and backwards skating, with the odd trick in there...most people who do amazing things like this, use blades? im using skates at the moment, and if there are any brands worth looking at it wound much help!!! thank you!
The skates do you use for slalom skating? Are they basically "just skates" or are they a different kind with a special design and some particular features that normal skates wouldn't have. Also, what kind of ankle support do those skates offer? I have a pair of RBK inline skates, and I was wondering if just having skates was enough to try and practice these kinds of moves and techniques?
@tyler mascotti try seba's fr1 or 2 or rollerblade twister le. Those 2 seem pretty cool. Powerslide fsk is a bit pricy but could also be a choice. Most important fit fit fit, which feels best on your foot
In recognition of the beauty of the video, we at Gang dos Patins of Rio de Janeiro - Brazil that is a group of skaters nonprofit, we are publishing a copy of your video, with title translated to our language (Portuguese) on our channel. We left our congratulations to the beautiful images and skater.
@7abc71 That's what I've got! They cost me £230 and took a little while to break in, but they are really good. They look good too. I had to get a size bigger than my shoe size. Did you?
