Probably one of the best backstories in all of anime I have a seen and read a lot of anime and manga but this flashback was smthing else really stuck with me for a while

Aizen even stated in SAFWY novels, the reason that ichigo even won was cause his quincy powers came in clutch and kenpachi did not account for that
Aizen than said , if you cant put kenpachi down with your first attack, he will adapt and thereafter nothing of that level of attack will phase him, that is why even aizen was afraid to face him

Not only is there the crazy fact that Zaraki has been holding himself back subconsciously this entire time, so that his fights could be more challenging and enjoyable is just nuts. Perfectly explaining how he managed to lose to Ichigo way back in the Soul Society arc, but he also defeated a KENPACHI as a kid!!! Dude is unreal
She was simply caught offguard never expecting a child to be able to harm her and the fact that she wasn’t able to heal herself back then as well as not even using Bankai, so she was also completely handicapped as it was only base to base, potentially he’s stronger but she has more going for her than she even realized, especially during this rematch where she’s just trying to pass down her legacy and nothing left to lose sacrificing herself.

No discrediting at all from me, just giving more insight and recognition for people overlooking Unohana like the Zaraki fanboy above me due to her words when her actions speak louder. He’s stronger but he doesn’t fairly win under just any circumstance.

Unohana has one of THE BEST bankai drops i have heard.. Her whole voice dropped, "minazuki" sounded 🔥 and then the soundtrack was the best to date!

The Kempachis fight: Unohana vs Zaraki was amazing, the animation is of the highest quality, very impressive, the soundtrack when Unohana releases her Bankai is an orgasm for the ears. Wow this adaptation of Bleach continues to exceed my expectations 10/10.
This was the moment I was waiting for and they delivered.

Big W for Rob and seeing Rob respect Kenpachi has been a long time coming and Kenpachi's arc is just getting started too it's gonna get better and better and I can't wait to see Robs reaction to it all. By the way we have 3 episodes left of this part with episodes 12 and 13 both being released together on December 26th. Next episode is gonna be peak and so will the 2 episodes after this next episode as well with peak storytelling and I can't wait to see yalls reactions to them cause it's gonna be crazy with a bunch of twists!!!!

Unohana's shikai & bankai have the same name "Minazuki" but written in different letters, her shikai means "Flesh-drops Gorge" and her bankai means "All things end".
Her shikai changes the shape of her sword into creature like Manta Ray while her bankai made her sword emits a very thick, red fluids.
Her shikai & bankai both used acid but her shikai used to heal and her bankai can heal and melt her enemy
This fight might confuse you, she melted him then healed him many times so he can get stronger fast
Her bankai isn’t acid based at all. The anime made it clear, that was a manga theory that we now see was wrong.

Theres also just no way Unohanas bankai would harm her to such a degree. It was in a metaphorical sense, that isn’t one of her abilities

Rob finally respecting Kenpachi is some character development I wasn't expecting and we still haven't even gotten to the coolest thing Kenpachi does in this arc (fellow manga readers get one guess as to what I'm referring to). the fight was extended in the anime to be fair, i guess everyone is accustomed to having the battles last the span of several episodes, but bleach really keeps their pacing in check to keep things moving. can it be a little fast at times? yes of course like wellz said, but thats just cause that whole fight was S tier, of course we wanted more lol

This is one of those episodes where you go back and watch it a 2nd time with more focus, less distractions and you see how truly eloquent and genius Kubos pen game is like. wow.
Good episode. I always knew this fight would be hard af to adapt and they did a good job overall. I do think they could have shifted Nimaya stuff to the episode before and have this episode full on Kenpachi vs Unohana while the post credits remain the same. I have always loved this fight to death even tho I know many people don't. The way it is written is just a joy to read.

Unohana hid her past. She became a healer from a killer, became kind from a merciless cold hearted person and even changed her name from Retsu to Yachiru to. We never seen her development, we only see the by product OF her development throughout the series.
This is why I love Bleach, Yama, Ukitake and Unohana along with the former Shinigami all have a past that we don't know of... We only know who they are NOW. In the future we'll eventually learn of their past, I can't wait for the Hell Arc.

Rob trying to dis Kenpachi is like someone trying to find a weakness in superman, they do exist but it's so rare any possible ground he sees that he thinks he can take he goes for. Even something as simple as another character saying he lost to ichigo, what is equally true is that if he wasn't holding back ichigo would have been crushed like an Ant.
Did they miss Zaraki's zampakuto awakening? I was waiting for that moment of realization but they skipped to Ichigo.

I felt like the end of last episode with both Kenpachi’s with this episode of them should have been combined into episode 9 and the Squad 0 stuff should have been this episode. It would have felt longer

@Gipwx the problem is the episode with the Royal Palace stuff wouldn't be as good then. I think the producers know exactly what they are doing.
The last episode was half an explanation and more insight into the royal palace and half of the Kenpachis, which brings a balance in calm,informative/hype, battle same as this episode. Sure if they would do the whole episode with Kenpachis it would be a much better/hyped episode but what about the other episode where only the Royal palace it's left?
