Beautiful job! It's hard to lay that paint and clear down, wet enough so it flows, but no runs. You could refinish a car if you wanted too? Your panel lines and rivet detailing is excellent as well!
Did you have to do any wet sanding and buffing to the clear coat afterwards? It looked super slick in the vid, just curious. Thanks, Jim
no, all steps are shown on the video. No sanding in front of the clearcoat.

Markus: Great result with the gloss white undercoat before applying the Mipa Vicrom. Which do you like better for the chrome undercoat? Gloss black or gloss white?

I think, with the white the chrome becomes brighter.
In our photo album is a picture with white and black chrome. The first picture in April 2017 (DH100 Vampire = white, Spitfire = black)

sehr gute Arbeit - leider fehlt mir für sowas die Lackierkabine.
Meine Nieten mache ich immer mit einem in einen Lötkolben eingespannten Messingröhrchen. Das Ergebnis ist fast das gleiche.
Hallo und vielen Dank, also die Kabine gehört uns auch nicht, aber wir dürfen die benutzen von der Firma wenn wir mal was haben zum lackieren.
Das mit dem Lötkolben hatten wir auch schon gemacht, geht genauso. Man muss halt aufpassen das er nicht zu heiß ist weil dann "verbrennt" der Füller gleich bzw. das "innere" von der Niete fällt raus. Wobei hier mit dem Dremel musst genauso aufpassen das man nicht zu tief rein kommt und durch sticht ;-)

Warum hast du diese große Oberfläche statt Breitstrahl mit Rundstrahl lackiert? Mit Breitstrahl kann man die Farbe, und Klarlack gleichmäßiger aufspritzen, und das besonders wichtig bei der Metalllackierung. Beim Endergebnis sind die Lackierungsstreifen gut sichtbar, sonst gute Arbeit.
Hallo, also ich fand das Ergebnis war spitze und hatte eine saubere glatte Oberfläche. Lackierstreifen wüsste ich keine das mein Jet welche hatte, seh auch auf Bildern nix. Und einen Jet gibt's noch, der sieht absolut sauber und "Streifenfrei" aus. Auch schon wieder 3 Jahre her, wie die Zeit vergeht 😔
