I can't imagine the show with another actor or car. Hasselhoff was the perfect choice. He and KITT were a perfect match!

David Hasselhoff is really lucky to have his own KITT car as a birthday present. Seeing him driving that car really made my day. Man, I really wish I have a KITT car too. I would love to have that car more than anything else in the world.

Love Knight Rider show in the 80's. Pontiac Firebird or Tran Am is one of my favor car in the 80's. Every week my wife and I spend time to watched Knight Rider when the show came out. We went to Universal Studio and they have one for show there. I went and seat inside the car and talk to Kitt. Good thing you bring Knight Rider back to life.

Knight rider... What a show! Not only was the story fantastic but also the way it was presented to us. You're a cop, killed, given a second chance to avenge and given a car, that is fantastic! Black, powerful and strongest car in the world, also intelligent! It can talk, and drive itself and eject bad guys from the drivers seat for instance! LoL how great was to see kitt driving in the night, only with the red light on... Whispering... Vum vum... When it lights the beams it almost looks like it has a face. Crashes trough walls, jumps over things and always defends human life. The funny personality, the nice tone among Devon and Michael knight... And the mystic behind Wilton knight... Inspite all the errors while filming it, It was great, just great. Hugs from Portugal!

Hmm actually it could be possible to sample the phenoms of his voice from Knight Rider and Saint Elsewhere and make a speech engine of his voice, not sure it would be completely legal, but it is possible, then you could program an AI to have the same whitty personality as Kitt, combine that with full navigation and the ability to self drive and come when summoned and you basically have an actual Kitt, after all, Teslas already self drive and come to you when they are summoned, makes me wonder if Elon used to watch Knight Rider.
This show left an impression on growing up..It influenced my password choices🙊

Seeing your transformation, from one who never watched Knight Rider, to a fan was really cool! I use to live a few miles from David Hasselhoff’s parents’ house when I was a kid. One Christmas day I rode by their house on my bike and I noticed a tall slim man walking to the front door. I stopped, waved and yelled, "Hi…MERRY CHRISTMAS"! He waved back and said Merry Christmas! I have always wondered if it was David Hasselhoff.

This is without a doubt the best knight rider video I have ever seen,I watched it so many times that I lost count Kitt still rocks.
I've heard a Trans Am called alot of things but "boring" is definitely a first. I edited my original post- my apologies as I jumped the gun without even watching the entire video. I think it's really cool you became a fan after this. How could you not? ;) I guess I take it for granted that everyone grew up on this stuff, but obviously I'm getting older lol. 80's TV was the best. Corny? Of course. But you always knew right from wrong and the good guys always won. These are fantastic videos and bring back lots of good emotions and fun memories, thanks so much for doing them.

I subscribed to this channel the moment I first saw one of their videos and I thought since this channel is about iconic movie cars, they must have a video or two about KITT from Knight Rider, my #1 favorite movie car of all time. So, I looked it up and I was right. They have two videos about KITT. And I was really surprised when I read the titles saying that they feature David Hasselhoff, himself! This video and this KITT replica are awesome and I'm so glad to know David Hasselhoff supports this awesome channel. And again, I've been subscribed to you guys, since the moment I first saw one of your videos! You, your cars, David Hasselhoff, and KITT are all really awesome! :)

I've always liked the original KITT before it started to grow wings and what not to enter super pursuit mode. But this is done really well.
And the attention to detail on the dash is perfect. I've seen several online that just look so cheap.

I'm happy you learnt about the beauty of that car. I watched KR when I was 9 years old and KITT was my first crush back then. A guy in the neighbourhood drives an 80s Trans Am and the sound of it (even without the turbine like in the show) is just great! I'd prefer it over Ferrari and Porsche anytime. The design is just timeless and even today people turn when this car shows up. At least here in Europe. :) Wish I could have one, but I couldn't afford the money for restoration.. and I would have to stop driving in winter, wouldn't want to crash it somewhere.. Still a great car, even without KITTs personality. :) I envy you.

I LOVE THIS VIDEO!!!!! Now, I own a Hot Wheels version of KITT, and I don't have him out in full view of anyone. Instead, he's stashed away in a crate with other Hot Wheels Models, as part of my large collection, numbering 2,294 vehicles in all.

Hey dude, please don't give these idiots another moment of your time.... Ignore them.... It's done they are doing it on purpose!! I would just like to say I am 25 and one of the world's biggest Knight Rider and Hasselhoff fans, watching the show and following the David for 21 years since I first clapped eyes on my very first episode!! This video is absolutely fantastic, a truly brilliant and emotional piece of film that shows how Hasselhoff still truly believes the values of the show (that One Man can Make a Difference) and showing you, a guy that didn't watch the show as a young lad that is now watching it after meeting David and Jen and taking time to learn what KITT, David and Knight Rider is all about. Jennifer's story is really heart warming, she is a lovely girl and how brilliant that she now has young daughters that are huge fans of the show now too!!
Keep up the good work Chris and PLEASE for goodness sakes stop replying to the haters just ignore them and do your thing!! Thank you for making this film... To all of us TRUE and REAL LIFE HARDCORE (see how I used capitals haha) Knight Rider fans, we shall all agree that you have done a fab job and taken the time to meet David and Jen!!

So many iconic cars
I finally found Knight rider on my TV(elrey) and started watching it all over again. I love watching shows from the 80's cause they were CLEAN, Wholesome, and just all around great entertainment. sure what was cool then might be corny now but who cares! I'll take this show, chips, A team over any, and I mean ANY, of the lame, stupid, non- reality shitty TV shows that are consider entertainment today. This is a GREAT video series and I really enjoyed it. and having that young lady building and giving K.I.T.T. back to its best friend was priceless.

Awesome video! I grew up watching the show myself - hopefully someday I will be able to see someone's KITT they built. I have sat in a DeLorean, as well as one of the original General Lees from Dukes of Hazzard.
In regards to the reboot series...it would have done well if it stuck to Michael's "One Man Can Make a Difference" arc - the ratings weren't great, so they went to that - but by then the damage was done.
I love the franchise in 82 big fan.💘

It's a great looking car! What you say at 7:00 is the drive is what makes the car. Personally I think it has both the looks and feel.
The car looks great, but there's one minor detail that I would personally change. The scanner/chaser being LEDs just doesn't look right, particularly up close. It either needs regular bulbs, or at least have some kind of strong diffuser.
Yeah, I've seen some LED scanners that replicate the fade of the bulbs.
Light emmiting diodes LED now in tv slim line television sets and traffic lights look up the book titled the day after Roswell look in Google and youtube search engines
I've seen a few that have that mistake where the middle of the bulb is yellow, when in the shoe it was white

I will always have admiration and respect for Mr. Hasselhoff. I met him in 1986 at a meet-and-greet for the grand opening of our local Toys'R'Us flagship store. Two friends of mine and I spent hours waiting, and when closing time came, he walked down the line to greet everyone. When my friend asked him "How's KITT?" he replied, "KITT's great, he's the fastest car in the world!" and then he shook our hands. I'll never forget that.
