Better call Saul is better I think it showed what happened before
Ratio
I can’t decide which is better! My favorite moment from BB Season 4 has to be the face-off between Gus and Hector.
Breaking bad is like my wife but better call Saul is the hot side piece that does things my wife doesn't.
Am I not going to compare these shows? Why should I do this if both shows are legendary, both shows were done by the same people? Both shows are of the same universe, oh my God , bcs even improves breaking Bad by filling it with details . I won't compare these shows. This is wrong
Walter White admitting that he did it for himself instead for his family is my no. 1. It's such a relief knowing he stopped lying to everyone even to himself.
"I did it for me ..."
"I liked it ... I was good at it ... I felt, alive."
Only the massive “death scenes” and “explosions” really ever get mentioned when talking about the best scene. I really think that chucks breakdown in chicanery might be one of the best things I’ve ever seen
I personally enjoy rewatching Lalo’s introduction and Walt on the phone w Skyler as the cops listen in
I agree. I also feel like Walt needed that alter ego. He felt weak and insignificant. He was a guy that should’ve been a multi millionaire. He couldn’t let it go. Especially knowing that hes dying with out being able to even give them anything. There are so many hints to this especially the infamous “I’m the one who knocks” speech.
Me too
"walter white couldn't have done it without me"-- gives me the same vibes as "I am the one who knocks" and " say my name"
But it wasn't the same point. Jimmy wasn't trying to boost his ego, like Walt did. Jimmy was confessing to what he's done, he's getting rid of all the burden on his back, and he's saving Kim and making her proud by telling the truth.
@@miljann98 what i meant is how bad ass of a moment it was, I wasn't trying to make a point lol
@@nikeairjordanfly Okay I wasn't trying to outsmart you, dom't get sensitive..
@@miljann98 weirdo. Where did nikeairjordanfly get sensitive? 😂😂
YES
I loved Nacho’s final scene. Saying his peace and taking his fate into his own hands. I could rewatch that over and over!
Seriously my favorite part of Better Call Saul.
I was surprised it wasn't on the list
I was very surprised it wasn’t on the list. Then again there are too many scenes that I love across both these shows
YOU THINK OF ME
*I* put you in that wheelchair
I actually enjoyed Better Call Saul so much more. It was so so good. It gave BB more meaning and depth. I’m so sad it’s over.
Better call saul makes walter seem like a maniac if you've never seen breaking bad.
@@tony961 Good because I hated Walter and his path of destruction with little remorse.
@@tony961 he *is* a maniac
@@clove1004 I know, I was just thinking of someone who's just seen BCS and not BB.
@@tony961 you said "seem". He IS a maniac and poeple's reaction to him in BCS is valid.
The entire shows are rewatchable. They're both masterclasses
Two of the best shows ever!
I only rly think breaking bad is amazing and better call saul is a cool little side plot
But that's my opinion
Edit: I didnt mean side plot but you know what I mean and i didnt says it's bad or even mediocre i meant almost as good as breaking bad so stop hating on my opinion
Edit 2 to stop being hated on: I DID NOT MEAN SIDE PLOT I MEAN EXTRA PLOT
@@bbguy2245 are you serious ? Better call Saul is one of the most intricate, well shot, most detailed show of all time. It’s far from a “little side plot”. In pretty much every single way it surpasses breaking bad, and I’m not hating on breaking bad btw, they’re 2 of the best shows I’ve ever seen - but I have to give it to BCS
@@bbguy2245 Wtf? If anything, it's BCS which makes Breaking Bad seem like the "cool side plot". Have you even watched all the seasons?
@@marcuslee698 bruh it my opinion and I think i wrote it wrong
Jessie saying "I am not turning down the money Walt, I am turning down you" is definitely one of the best scenes in bb and personally one of the most rewatchable
Yes, A similar iconic scene is Walt turning down Jesse. At Saul's office, Walt says "I'm in, you're out! "
Both shows are rewatchable adding to the fact that Better Call Saul really enhances Breaking Bad more.
A whole new perception
Breaking Bad enhances Better Call Saul actually
@@barry4649 both enhance each other
@@barry4649 Nope it’s the quite opposite actually . BB would simply never exist without BCS
@@yashkose3496 For people watching only BCS many things would be unclear.
Like who is Ed, why is Gene calling him? (only revealed in Season 5, by that time audience would have forgotten)
Last three episodes will be very confusing.
But, the story is prefect for people watching only BB.
So, it's the opposite. BCS cannot exist without BB
the confession was good but watching jimmy wheel and deal a 190 year prison sentence down to 7 was brilliant.
In the second episode of BCS he wheeled down the death penalty to two months probation for those two con artists remember?
@@alessioleporati1478 worlds 2nd best lawyer indeed
One important omission, IMO, would be the part when Lalo enters in Kim and Jimmy's appartment and shoots Howard. Infinitely thrilling.
And IMO the most inspired detail of that scene is the flicker of the candle that announces the entry.
@@panos3051 oh god yes
great moment but probably the hardest scene in either show to rewatch
@@LedgerJoker77 I would put Hank’s death above Howard’s as the hardest to watch.
@@lindaslattery8341 I'd say Howard's death was harder to watch because between Howard and Hank, Howard was actually in the wrong place at the wrong time.
They’re both the 2 greatest shows ever made in my opinion!
Same. 💯💯💯
I put Mad Men in front but Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul are close :)
@@Leonum1860 1) Sopranos 2) Mad Men 3) Everything else. I never thought Walter White was that interesting of a character.
@@homelessjesse9453 pretty trash opinion
@@homelessjesse9453 💀
I also loved the scene where Walt found out that Skyler gave Ted some money. And he's busy laughing under the floor. That scene was so good
Mike's confession 'I broke my boy' scene from BCS deserved a spot on this list
For me, "I broke my boy" from Better Call Saul is by far Mike's best moment.
I didn’t realize until now that the story about half measures by Mike relates back (forward) to Werner Ziegler.
How in the world did the ending of the crawl space episode not make this list? Best BB scene IMO
there are so many good scenes in these shows it’s impossible to only choose 10 tbh
Should’ve done top 100
I wonder
Ikr
I feel the same
Better Call Saul had more great dialogue moments. Breaking Bad had more great story moments.
Nah I disagree. Dialogue very much forms story, and without it, those “story moments” wouldn’t hit as hard. I see better call Saul as a drama with action, and breaking bad as an action with drama. For example, the dialogue in chicanery between chuck and jimmy makes for one of the best story moments of television
Disappointed that Lalo is not on the list, he gave several memorable scenes:
- The phone call with Mike
- "Tell me again."
- Killing Howard
- His first ever scene
- His shootout with Gus
- Hiring Saul
"Tell me again" was incredible, totally agree. That scene was just as intense as anything in BB.
@@dialp4penguin indeed. He really owns the room there.
Zieeeeeegler
"Tell me again" scene should be in the TOP 3. But hey...This is Watchmojo...
WERNER ZIEEEEGLER
"Someone has to protect this family from the man that protects this family." Skylar's best phrase.
The "lily of the valley" reveal at the end of season 4 had my jaw literally dropped. Best moment 💯
Just rewatched that episode, and in the beginning, Walt is spinning a gun on the table and it points towards the flowers
Me and my dad was full on surprised by that reveal, it’s just damn. He poisoned a kid.
Chuck's rant is extremely underrated and is one of the best things that happened in the universe
Exactlyyyyyyyy, arguably the single best scene in both of the 2 shows. The way jimmy runs chuck into the ground, and then chuck, unbeknownst to himself, literally runs his own reputation and self into the ground, all due to a mental condition that’s very slowly taking his own life away
Walter saying “What’s my name” is the peak of his Heisenberg phase.
That scene could have easily replaced at least 6 others on this list.
Nacho’s final words to Hector definitely had to be here
Both are simply peak TV masterpieces. Favorite shows of all time.
honestly, Nachos final speech is something i could watch over and over
nacho's final speech is really good and rewatchable.
Saul coming clean and saying that Walter White couldn't have done it without me, THAT was chilling. Such a good performance. God, I need to rewatch both of these shows lol
My #1 would be the whole train scene from BB. Absolutely riveting.
Not just one of the greatest scenes in tv history it’s one of the greatest piece of art/entertainment ever put on screen. Everything about Dead freight was awesome.
Nacho's monologue, the ending of BCS,Jesse confronting Saul & Walt admitting that he did for himself are personal favorites
“Someone has to protect this family, from the man that protects this family”. Up there with the greatest lines in the BrBa/BCS Universe.
That no half measure scene was the first scene that made me love the show
Unlike Better Call Saul, I didn't watch Breaking Bad until it basically ended on AMC in binge watch the entire series on Netflix. Both really iconic shows and I will miss them both
The whole show is rewatchable such a great show and great moments
I still say Breaking Bad is better just because it has more climatic parts.
I could watch mike out smarting people for hours
I think both shows are amazing as they are and you cant really say which one is better as they are equally good in their own way. However, I was thrilled with the final of BCS. For me one of the best endings of a show in general.
There is no way the death of Howard isn't #1
Wait, does that mean you find death scenes rewatchable? Is Howard's better than Jane's?
Both series are masterpieces. Each has his own remarkable scene which will be impossible to forget. The whole cast on both series has made 2 unique and unrepeatable series. This is story of tv
The no half measures speech is so thoughtful and great. Really underrated
I love how breaking bad is still being talked about it is that good even when better call saul is gonna end
watching jimmy destroy chuck was heart breaking.
Both of these shows have opened my eyes to perspectives that I may never again experience. I do not want to think one is better than the other. I feel that gives them both an injustice. From here on, as I watch, reminisce, or think of these two shows, I will look to how they both have changed my looks into perspectives and why I enjoyed these shows as equals and as their own.
Hate to say you missed one because everything here is phenomenal, but the scene with Jimmy, Kim, and Lalo where Jimmy is telling Lalo what happened in the desert is maybe the best scene in the history of television.
That's where Kim proved herself the REAL badass of the entire series... telling Lalo what's what and basically making him retreat like a dog with its tail tucked between its legs. 🤩
Tell me again.
What about the Lalo killing Howard scene. That's the best. I think that episode got some awards.
Just commented the same thing lol…it‘s my favorite tv scene of all time
@@ajay316 Yep, another great one
My favourite scene is when Hank confronts Walt in the garage upon discovering the latter is Heisenberg.
I know right!!! How was that not on the list “I suggest you tread lightly” gives me chills every time I watch it
I'd have put the Mike scene in the parking garage on here. Really sets the tone for his wise but effective character in both shows.
This watchmojo episode was surprisingly insightful to the series. I've watched ton's of 'lore' videos and full story breakdowns of many of these moments mentioned, but yet watchmojo caught some things that even the most hardcore channels dedicated to the series didn't catch.
They must have many sources going through the series of BCS and BB (and EC) to highlight these notes. Kind regards to the team that researched this video.
Well done.
I mean, in my mind it's like this: Breaking Bad is like Master of Puppets and Better Call Saul is like And Justice For All. Take that for what you will
Perfect analogy, two pairs of masterpieces
@@manocean1092 And apparently the Slippin' Jimmy cartoon is like Lulu from what I've heard and seen
@@swampthing94 LMAO the unwanted, neglected one, fits perfectly
And I guess El Camino could be Hardwired... to Self-Destruct
@@manocean1092 That, or Death Magnetic. The reheating of a good old thing. It still works, it's not 100% like it used to be and you begin to notice the artist's age but you enjoy it a lot nonetheless
6:51 I don't think I've ever seen Skyler smile
Skyler's comment was pretty good as well even though she said it at a later time, "Someone has to protect this family from the man who protects this family." I had to think about that for a minute🤔
Both solid. But BCS much more rewatchable over all. Scene missing from this list?… the pimento sandwich. Helps establish Mike as the solid character that he is, and I’ve gone back to watch it over and over.
Nacho was my favourite character from both shows, and that's high praise considering the masterful job of character development both shows gave us. The pill scene was PERFECT, and one of the most tense scenes I've ever watched on TV. For a TV show to suck me in like that...awesome 👍
As much as I love Breaking Bad for it's linear character progression and suspense, I appreciate Better Call Saul for it's great character development for Jimmy and Kim, and inner tug of war between Jimmy and Saul to the very end.
TV My favorite Better Call Saul moment is listening to Chuck play the piano. Michael McKean is such a talented actor/musician!
Surprised you left out the remote controlled machine gun massacre of Jack and his crew. I actually thought it was a guarantee to be a top 3 moment.
Top 3 most unbelievable moments maybe...
Both entire series are rewatch able multiple times. I much preferred Better Call Saul after it was done. Attempting a prequel was risky but it turned out to be brilliant. I’m guessing Face Off will be number one as I’m up to 5 now but I see I was wrong now that it’s done
Howard Hamlin's death is definitely rewatchable
The scene were he’s underneath the house laughing gives me chills every time.
Howard’s death is definitely up there
I'll never forget when we had to wait 11 months after that WW episode. Sometimes I envy the binge watchers.
Both shows are masterpieces
Walter White ready to surrender watching Gretchen & Elliott on TV and deciding to go back + the intro song playing. Masterpiece! Full body chills, in my opinion the best scene from both shows!
Someone has to protect this family, from the man who protects this family. I never noticed that before.. brilliant writing.
You guys should do an updated list and include moments from El Camino!
Nothing worth adding from it tbh
How did say my name not make it on here? Other than that solid list!
Every scene with Mike and/or Gus and/or Saul. They made the show.
Just imagine, take a little escene of a episode and make one of the greatest show of all time. Vince is the next level. Breaking Bad is the 🐐.
BCS 🐐
Wow the writer of this episode is amazing!! Best watch mojo video I’ve seen yet!!!!
The Cousins' attack on Hank in the parking lot.
Two of my favorite Shows of all time!!!
Please. Could you do a top 10 best "Better Call Saul" episodes? Thanks!
This will become a Top 20 list in due time.
I am the one who knocks will always be one of the most iconic Breaking Bad scenes.
I love both the shows and both of those are two of my favorite tv series. I'm gonna miss them both so much
The fact that Nacho’s final scene in BCS is not included in this list is criminal…pun intended.
The interaction when Hank punches Walt and Walt says, if you say you don’t really know who I am, your best coarse of action is to thread lightly. Best scene
The whole show is totally rewatchable.
I'm currently on my fourth rewatch.
8 is my favorite scene od all time how he did that move unbelievable.
“You better tread lightly.”
-WW
Even doing a Top 20 rewatchable moments for the two shows would be difficult for me. But my best was the candle flickering when Lalo entered Kim's apartment.
This is the only watch mojo video I can’t disagree with, because every moment in both of these series are “rewatchable” 🤩🤩🤩
Best scene in either show is where Walter confronts tuco after he steals the meth from Jesse. Walter really starts to come into his own and enjoys being bad.
Heisenberg: "You're wrong about one thing. This is not meth"
How can anyone question that the best moment for both series is when Walter White delivers the speech of a decade at his high school after the plain crashes.
"what you're left with casualty-wise is just the 50th-worst air disaster. Actually, tied for 50th. There are, in truth 53 crashes throughout history that are just as bad or worse. Tenerife. Has anybody? Anybody heard of Tenerife? No?"
Vince is the GOAT for gifting us these two shows we don’t deserve.
Ironically if Chuck knew a little more about electromagnetism, he could have argued the fact that no current is flowing through a battery removed from a device so he wouldn't "feel it" but with his condition I don't think this fact would have matter to Chuck. He "feels" it all.
Forget rewatching the moments I’d rewatch every single season of those shows.
Do a top 10 episodes of both shows
Mikes, I broke my boy.. makes me cry every time
The “half measure” scene is one of my favorites
Five ad breaks with 30 second ads to watch this video. CZcams is broken.
every single second in 'Ozymandias' is all rewatchable.
Watched BB just after it finished. Didn't think BCS would measure up. But so happy to say started watching BCS this year and worthy of saying it's just as epic.
The BCS moments here, except for the chicanery one, are just so so. The confession moment is especially silly. But there are amazing BB moments that can be added: Jesse kills Gale, the first time they dissolve a body at Jesse's house, the last shot in season 4 where you see what is growing in Walter's yard, Walter dies, and almost every scene with Saul (his scene with Jesse's parents and his scene with the baby-face police office are especially great).
I was expecting the scene when Walt and Pinkman try to poison Hector Salmanca in the Breaking Bad series just before Tuco is killed. That Ding Ding Scene was terrific.
I feel like Walt exploding tucos drug den, and the box cutter scene needed to be here. I've watched those two scenes more than any other.
good video
Loved Mike's scene in Pimento
There is only 3 rewatchable moments in the Breaking Bad universe and it’s the entire Breaking Bad the entire Better Call Saul and El Camino
I love rewatching Bagman's desert shootout scene with Mike and Jimmy, but Chicanery is my all time favorite I have the whole speech memorized it's so perfectly dramatic yet comedic and I will continue to watch and quote it forever. What a SICK JOKE!
I did not watch better caul saul until the last episode of season 6 aired.
I knew I was ready for a full week of pre-breaking bad ! It was amazing!
So yeah, just finished watching all of it and it was AMAZING!!!!!
The ending of crawl space is my favorite
