DON'T DO THIS IN YOUR CYBERTRUCK

- Tesla Cybertruck has bed that is 6ft length , but is not safe to sleep inside the bed when Tonneau Cover is closed. Tesla makes the Camping Tent for the Cybertruck and that is better option to use for it.

Pull up the middle seats. Sleep inside the cybertruck. Problem solved.
Best
With the camping mode if they have it for the cybertruck yet
Don't pull up the seats. It's a bunk bed lol
It's not air tight, it's not even fully water tight.
It's not air-tight, just water resistant. The reason they didn't do a pass through is to keep the hvac more efficient I'm sure. They didn't want people pumping the air into a giant area that isn't sealed well.
How long do you think it's gonna be before it aftermarket supplier makes a window that opens specifically for that purpose?
@@aigtrader2984theirs gonna be a delete option soon
@aigtrader2984 It would be a bad idea. The window is too short to climb through. If you want ac or heat, buy a small one and plug it in the outlets. Just need to attach it to the tailgate.
@aigtrader2984 the other issue is that the cover gets really hot/cold depending on the ambient outside.
I made a video sleeping in the bed and will make an updated one soon.
You can definitely sleep in there it’s ventilated
A RV camping pad or futon mattress would be perfect to turn the bed of truck into a weekend camping adventure. I'm guessing they will be all sorts of in bed or bed rack pop tent 3rd party vendors for this Cybertruck. Nice you can control the bed lights and tano cover with you tesla app. They be all sorts of overlanding or weekend camping builds. Very cool Truck indeed.
Just wait for a "bed camp mode" that will keep a few centimeters opened. However it could be cold or hot, while the cabin is quite wide and climatized. And since it is a truck, it may be better to tow a caravan with full comfort (there are all sizes). Otherwise just buy a model Y with a mattress at the back...
Good to know, thanks.
How far back does the driver seat bend for sleep?
Dude, it's weather sealed it's not airtight. Even the official tesla camping gear is able to drop down into the bottom of the bed for to be a bit more "covert"
Yup but this is something I wouldn’t recommend for people or pets.
best car in Richmond, TX hands down!
Thank you
I'm curious to see if you can fit a fullsize bicycle on the bed and also on the rear passenger side with the seats folded up. And whether or not you would need to remove the front wheel of the bike in these situations.
I will try with my friend’s bike. It will need a rack for it though
Can you open the cover/tail gate from inside the bed? Is there a mechanical override inside the bed to open the tail gate? I suspect there is but i didn't see it anywhere. That would be a key issue for me if i was to camp in the back.
You can open using phone app. I will see if there is override from inside
Yes, it's required by law because when the tonneau cover is closed it's basically a trunk
Yes, there is a cover that can be opened with two red handles you can use to open the tail, even without energy.
The manual doesn't say anything about lack of oxygen when the tonneau is closed. It should be safe to sleep in the bed as long as you're ok with possible water leakage during rainy days.
Honestly, trust me it was suffocating. I would never do that
@@MyGadgetsWorld, the cab is probably better sealed than the bed is. If people don't suffocate from sitting in parked cars then they aren't going to suffocate in the bed. I'm sure it has a "suffocating/claustrophobic" feeling to it since it's all dark, but actual suffocation is not an issue.
The window can not go down?
The middle one, no. One of the things I'm very disappointed about@@NicholasMarcelin
@@MyGadgetsWorld This was almost certainly due to your own personal feelings and maybe you are claustrophobic. The Cybertruck bed volume is roughly 1529 liters (just based on some assumptions from measurements). The average person is 62 liters when looking strictly at volume. That's 1467 liters of air, which is about 308 liters of oxygen (21% of air).
Assuming about 0.5 liters per minute oxygen consumption, it would be a little over 2 hours before the air reaches 16% oxygen remaining. This is when you might first start feeling minor effects. Most people, asides from some discomfort, will be fine for more than 2 additional hours because they start feeling nauseous at 10% or less oxygen in the air.
This all assumes a completely sealed bed that even air cannot enter or escape. But this isn't the case with any tonneau cover, even the Cybertruck. I have even personally slept under a tonneau cover that was also mostly waterproof except for during very heavy rain which had some leaks.
I personally wouldn't mind sleeping back there myself. and I'm sure there will be people testing this feature, maybe even measuring oxygen levels in the air after hours inside, probably long before I get my Cybertruck.
Is the bed fully horizontal?
It is.
Crazy you can't get oxygen in the back there - it would be ideal for pets.. I'll bet some folks suffocate Fido with this..
Nobody is going to suffocate anybody. It's not airtight. Not even close plus you could literally just open the cover 1 inch if you were that concerned
@@aigtrader2984 so it's BS?
under that cover closed is insane
Soon enough will know where we can make a hole and get air access from cab
Definitely :)
Maybe the back glass can be replaced with one that has a slide opening like other trucks.
Seems to me like the smaller Tesla vehicles were built better for sleeping overnight. Such a pity. I figured this might be a better option than buying a van.
This guy want to payoff his truck with you tube videos lol
Wish CZcams revenue was that much :) not pay off but why not somewhat :)
I don't agree with some of what he's saying but I don't blame him for saying it lol
Something tells me this particular truck will NEVER do any serious "off-roading".
