I’m surprised that the comics never showed the people hating Captain Marvel after Civil War 2
The way the stories were written for civil war 2 and following directly wanted to paint her as the one in the right. Even though she got tons of people killed, wanted to Incarcerate PoC for looking too suspicious cause some inhuman that can see futures for possible timelines that have no connection to the current universe said that it might happen.

I always thought that Captain Marvel and Ms.Marvel are two very different Carol Danvers where the Ms. Marvel persona is the humble Carol while the Captain Marvel persona is a corrupted persona, who which got overwhelmed mentally with power to the point that she lost a good chunk of morality in favor of being stronger. It's ironic really, going for a more fully clothed look would make the character less likable as opposed to keeping the original black suited design that was from Ms.Marvel that everyone adored.

Civil war 2 event makes the Civil War 1 look like freakin' masterpiece.
Edit: in case anyone asks why, civil war 1 had real stakes while civil war 2 was a battle between egos
Civil war 1 was more tense, darker and writers were smart enough to keep the fight grounded between tony and steve (and the heroes who supported them) and didn't include powerhouses like hulk, thor and most importantly *DR STRANGE*
Ending was emotional. Steve looks at the destroyed city ,his tears rolling down and surrendering himself to the police even tho he won and proved tony wrong. Civil war 2 had nothing emotional on that level

My least favorite part was the birth of "HULK" She-Hulk. That was almost as bad as the Mockingbird series. Mostly because of the Phantom Rider stuff. That was already a can of worms and then they made it questionably worse.

Original Civil War: Tries to make a morally grey storyline about how to approach superhero identities and responsibility. Failed due to poor editorial choices, a weak story and one side acting like fascists.
Civil War 2: A story about a side saying that pre-emptive murder and arrest are okay because there's a chance of something bad vs a side saying "what the fuck, no, that's insane".
Y'know, the original at least tried but was poorly handled. This shit is just dumb.
Tony's currently back and getting fisted by Hulk-Thor in the outer reaches of space, so it's not like his death is 'that' big a deal~
Jokes aside, I'm just curious on why Miles would even kill Cap given out of all the possibilities tied to the event. Also Carol Danvers 616 was usually a decent character til this particular arc; not sure why they went that direction with her, especially with her side of the argument having more faults. Figure that she'd be the "Captain America" of this Civil War event, but I guess they needed to show that Tony learned since the first CW or whatever

@@RrowdyBeast in the Civil War 2 story they show Hydra Cap behind the scenes instigating the events in the story, so it’s implied that Miles kills him due to Captain America being part of Hydra BUT since both Miles and Cap were informed that Miles was gonna kill him, it led to Cap not making any more moves that would cause suspicion which in turn made him look innocent. (One of the only good elements of this horrendous story)

If I'm being completely honest, even though I don't agree Carol's actions or her viewpoint and the oversimplification of Ulyasse's abilities of predetermination, I honestly think Tony unintentionally enabled Carol to fight him, as Tony's entire warped perception of what predetermination truly implies abd acts self righteously without any sense of reason and humility. Again while I do not agree with Carol, I still think Tony was more responsible for creating yet another conflict within the superhero community as a self proclaimed futurist, who resorts to petty actions in order to uphold said mindset when all of this could've been easily resolved. I dont see how Tony is more responsible here.The only thing Tony has be doing in this comic was trying to stop Carol from conflict *she* is creating because of her misuse of Ulysses powers. Of which were only getting the people around them killed
