Escape the ordinary: Building the Ultimate Dog House

Hi there friends, in today’s video I’m going to show you how I built a unique and fun dog house for our english bulldog Zoey. This dog house build is part of a competition with a group of fellow makers in order to raise money for charity. The rules of the competition is simple, create a doghouse with a roof or roof type structure. Use at least one recycled item and implement a water feature. Our dog, Zoey is not a dog house type of dog. However, she loves to be in tight places and will always find her self laying underneath our chairs which I took into account win building this dog house. Had a lot of wood on hand that I incorporated in the build. I only purchased a few two by threes to build my actual structure and then used all the wood I had on hand to create the doghouse. I incorporated a aquarium that I found for 50% off which was $12 and I purchased a few feeder fish for 40 cents each. My goal for this old was to keep it under $100 and try and incorporate as many things as I could that I already had on hand.
Once I have a dog house built, I ordered a set of cushions on Amazon, which was a little more cost-effective than purchasing foam and fabric to create my own. I found that I did have to modify one of the cushions to fit a little bit better with the dog House size, but I also may do with the scraps and incorporated it into the build. Nothing went to waste. I had a cool design element by cantilevering, a glass globe that I found for three dollars at Goodwill on the surface of water which allowed to fish to swim above the surface, giving a very cool affect. I'm extremely tired about how this bill turned out Zoey on the other hand is still getting used to the dog house and eventually will learn to love it. I use it all the time and have my morning coffee on the bench and love watching the fish swim around in the globe. I edited this video myself (super proud) with Adobe Premiere Pro. I’ve learned everything thus far about editing via CZcams tutorials, and a little trial and error along the way. This was the first video I figured out how to add captions, which I’ll be doing moving forward.
