BACKSTORY:
Can a 6 year old boy do justice to a Korn song?? A year ago, I'd say probably not. But then we met Michael Dalhover. Both of his parents are HUGE Korn fans, so Michael has been singing Korn songs and attending Korn concerts from an even earlier age. Simply put, Michael was born to sing Korn! Recorded entirely in a garage, the kids' rendition of "Here To Stay" proves that you don't need a fancy studio when the band is composed of 5 insanely talented kids from around the country! Hailing from Tennessee, North Carolina, Missouri and Ohio, this supergroup absolutely Krushed this Korn Klassic 🤟 As always, OMF would like to thank the crew. For anyone criticizing a 6 year old for having the guts to step up and sing his little heart out, you grow a pair and see if you could deal with the internet hate that everyone gets no matter how good or bad. I get it might not be your cup of tea but lil' man bravo! You keep singing and trust me they'll be more of us singing your praises than the negative people out there.

Seriously, he can keep on key, and in time, and that's more than 99.9% of 6 year olds. He's already learning the technique, now I'd love to see him in 10 years with a more developed voice. He's definitely going somewhere.

Concur I'm 54 & my choir teacher in junior high she made us sing stuff we didn't like come on theme songs from flintstones/jetsons & give me some rock & roll heavy metal then I'll be more interested
Especially if they'd take the time to really get to know the music kids in the class are listening to, more kids will hear each other's music . . . and the teachers can even show how modern music is influenced by some of what they insist on trying to teach now. But nope, they'd rather just keep teaching "classical", and their classical alone, without ever trying to teach anything interesting. Basically, they should teach a lot let Sousa.

There's some really surreal aspects of this video. The imagery of kids in hazmat suits going around the chalked hop scotch marks is just WOW. There's so much here, so many layers. Production and performance is just brilliant.

How can you NOT love this?
The differences between this Jonathan's vocals in the studio version just serves to highlight how insane the level of production is in the studio version. Also, unrelated, but totally worthy of note, is the kid's guttural vocals at the end of the breakdown is fully on par with the cream of the death metal crop, and head and shoulders above scads of 'scene' dudes. This kid is going places!

Over the last few decades large groups of people grew up not knowing what real music and music instruments sound like. "What is that boom-boom-boom sound?" Well, it's someone playing a drumset. "What is that highspeed tingling sound?" It's someone playing a guitar. Believe me, I have met quite a number of people like that. You can also find them here on YT on those reaction channels. Unbelievably ignorant.
Thank god there is the O'Keefe Foundation where kids can evolve in music and express their creativity. There is hope.
