    Has the throttle bodies been sync'd according to guzzi software.
    The donor bike may have had a different exhaust system & the ecu set up for it.
    Another thing is the throttle cable play at the throttle bodies ie just a tad too slack causing the dip below idle setting.
    Throttle bodies setting is with the screws set home then bring out equally to give an idle of 1350rpm.
    That's from internet , hope it helps Nat.

      The throttles seem synced according to the software and the idle is pretty much bang on that
      I will have a look again through once I get the exhaust sorted.

    Take it for a good run out and let the ECU learn the engine, induction and exhaust systems. A quick run up and down the road won't help you any. It needs to be up to full working temperature so the ECU can see what the various sensors are doing, the O2 sensor needs to be above 600c to even start to operate correctly and give good readings.

      That's a problem with no MOT though. A short blip up and down the road is about all that I can do.

      @@NatsNackersYard well thats a bugger... I'd chuck it in for an MOT, at least then you'll have the option of giving her a good run out.

      Oil and filters are new. The only thing that seems out of the norm is the exhaust flow.

    Very interesting it for sure is heading in the right direction Nat maybe try and get yer hands on a used exhaust or the offending section good watch 👍

    Would it be the heat wrap that is causing problems, if the engine management system is sensing too much heat it may upset the running 🤔

    Have you thought about and checked for any air leaks on the intake side ?? Old worn rubber hoses / connections etc etc

    • @NatsNackersYard
      @NatsNackersYard  Před 2 lety +1

      I think that the software should detect that as it does show air pressure but it's worth a look.

    The speed sensor is somewhat hidden on the engine block, on the right side under the strut. It's a bit tedious to replace. Does the gear indicator work? Greetings from Germany

    • @NatsNackersYard

      Gear indicator seems to work but is a little hit and miss I think.

    Totally off the wall question, but is there any connection between the running and the rev counter not working? If the rev counter isn't getting an ignition pulse, is the engine ECU getting the right info?

    • @NatsNackersYard
      @NatsNackersYard  Před 2 lety +1

      That was my thinking for a while but the Guzzi diag program shows the revs when running so the ECU is seeing it. I think that it's just the dial that isn't playing!

    Excuse my memory Nat but was that tge bike you made baffles for,if it is that might be causing back pressure and confusing ECU via 02 sensor?🤔👍
