I'd strip out the interior, sell anything of any value, should be plenty of copper wire etc good scrap value, all the instruments, controls and avionics should have plenty of value, make seats into office chairs, would get good money for them!
Now the airframe I'd put on a post over my house/ garden would make a great Gate Guard. 👍
Or fix it to a hydraulic ram/ frame, have it rock back and forth and charge the local kids $5 to 'fly a jet plane' put some virtual flying scenes on a loop running on screens in the cockpit windows, thrill ride sorted!
Or take the wings off it, put some wheels on it, make it into an EV camper, would be a fab youtube project.

Looks like this Cessna 1SP hasn't flown since 2018. Somehow or another, it's airworthiness certificate is valid until May 2022... that's crazy. I'm looking forward to hearing just how bad of shape this airplane is in. Betting you've got a bunch of ADs to deal with depending on how close the engines are to needing to be overhauled.

There is probably little money to be had in parting out a 45 year old airplane. The number of flying aircraft that need critical parts is very small. Many of those are probably not much better shape than this one.
At some point it is no longer worth the time or effort.
Plus finding qualified mechanics and pilots is tough. They have aged out.

Parts for a 500 series are next to impossible to find. Most of their value is based on the hours remaining on the engines. (Which he is fully aware of.) He got it for parts. You can buy one that is air worthy for between 200 to 500k.

A buddis dad back in the 80s was a pilot for a local company. He flew a twin turbo prop plane of some sort. It was hangered at the county airport. We, as teens and twenties, would party in it sometimes. Sit and drink and eat the nuts. One time, a couple of other buddis were sitting in the pilots seats, turning things on, and all of a su#en the oxygen masks dropped from the ceiling. He was bent. So we stuffed them back up in and left. I dont think we ever went back and never heard anything about it.

The only condition was that it had to be removed from the airport within one month, and of course it had no engines. We got engines fitted and flew it out within the month. In fact we flew it all the way across the Atlantic to South Africa and continued to use it for several years!
