I agree 💯 I loved Sanford and son but this show i like a lot better with Calvin instead of Lamont IMO except it's missing Esther she's in some episodes one where it turns out he married her instead of Elizabeth it was the funniest episode (2 part)

I like her and she really cares a lot for Fred. And I didn’t like Donna at all. She wasn’t good for Fred.

I liked "Sanford" when it was running. Sure, it wasn't quite "Sanford and Son" in terms of the belly laughs but it held its own and I liked the Cal character too.

Hahaha.
Rare example of a sitcom that got better after the pilot. These 3 episodes are rather contrived and unrealistic, you can see the jokes coming a mile off. The later episodes were much much better.
