you should have asked to go through the New United Road "Qualified Driver Trainer" training in Luma. That would give you more accurate and greater detail to the URS training expectations.
I should do that. I never thought about doing that. Actually I didn’t know you could take that course through luma lol

Is there any orientation pay?
Couple question.
Do they help you if you're having a hard time finding a hotel? What is the rider policy? How fast can you go? What system do you use for electronic logs? Thanks in advance. I already have my offer letter, I'm just impatiently curious on things I couldn't find. lol

Thank you for putting me down as your referral. So finding a hotel no but it’s pretty easy I look in the area I’ll probably run out of time and I start calling hotels in that area. Rider policy as far as Ik is 18+ and a family member. Your terminal has to approve it. Speed is 65-68 depending on how you drive you’ll start at 65 and they will up the speed. Logs is pedigree it’s very easy as well. What area are you gonna be running

Silly question here coming from total ignorance, on the eaton18 do you need to use the splitter when loaded at all or u can get by with the range selector?
Honestly you in my opinion you don’t need an 18 at all if your running 80,000lbs or less. Now a 13 is amazing because they are the same trans and final gear but you can split between 11,12,13th gears when on hills. So no you don’t need to split the low side ever even starting at a stop I’m the mountains of wv I’ve never had a problem getting to the high side fully loaded.
Company trucks are usually automatic or 10 speed.

Yes the company pays for the hotel and for me it’s the best of both worlds. It’s really good money all well still being able to get home and see my family.
Are you owner operator or a company driver?

@@CarcarrierTv well I live in Toledo Ohio and love to run east. Before Cassens lost the Chrysler Pennsylvania freight, that’s what I would run all the time since it’s right along my way home. Out and back. I am hoping I can maybe run to Cleveland or New York for United road. I don’t care if I have to run to Chicago then run from Chicago out east. I hear it’s a pretty good set up and they said I have the potential to make about $108k my first year. That’s a big upgrade considering my best year at Cassens was $86k and that was working pretty hard (out 4-5 nights straight)

Yea there’s a lot of money to be made here this will be my 3 years making 140+ but I do stay out mom-fri. Now I can normally get home 1-2 times durning the week for the night or just a meal but it’s still time with the family.

My truck is auto. I’m pretty sure most companies are ordering all their new trucks as automatics

You can apply if you want but last I heard they want at least 6 months of otr before hiring. You can always call and talk to them and see if they have any exceptions for the area you wanna run but that’s really up to you.

Ok so I’ll start by saying I’m the wrong person to ask about becoming an ic. lol your gonna get a very biased opinion by me and I’ll explain why. So for your first question you’d have to ask United for the 100% right answer but I think it’s 80 or 85%.
So my biased opinion here. No I don’t ever think someone should become and ic unless your building to be a fleet owner of 10 or more trucks. And here’s my reasons most ppl become an o/o for freedom we’ll I have that as a company driver if I want to go home I can if I want to stay out I can if I want to run cross country I can I just gotta request a load to go to a specific area. They say they do it for the money well I make more as a company driver then I ever did as a o/o I don’t know many ppl that can say they keep 150k+ a year without any of the risks. And lastly because they wanna drive a hot rod truck with all the lights and cool paint I think that’s as awesome as the next guy but I’m here to support my family not show off to a bunch of guys so I cant see taking money away from my family just because someone gives you Facebook likes.
Now I don’t hold any of this against anyone I just can’t see all the risk to say I own my job when I can have none of the risks and all the rewards by being a company driver.
How much can you make?
So there’s lots of variables to that question. But I’ll say at end you should be making 1300-1500 per week average would be 1800-2100 per week and if you hustle like me 2100-2900 per week

@alexreddragon88 that’s gross but you gotta watch the whole vlog because you would see that it’s while your learning that’s what your gonna make. You make what your skill level is and when you start out you have no skills in hauling cars. That’s why when you get good at it you can make what I do not 1300
@CarcarrierTv so I passed everything and ì start training next week, they told me min 2300 per 2 weeks if you work at least 55hrs a week. Is that right ? Kinda too low I could do that for about a month max
