This music immediately woke my peacefully sleeping cat and put him on high alert, and he left the room.
Great performance of a wonderful piece by one of the greatest and most unique composers of our time.
Beautiful! It's a shame CZcams saw fit to interrupt the music with an ad 2 minutes before the end.
2:10 - 3:10 a tribute to R. Strauss (thus spoke Zarathustra) Flute imitating the trumpet and piano imitating the solo timpani.

This (Vox Balaenae) is Crumb's piece I performed most often. So love the quotes and the gorgeous ending. He was so influential when I was in college.

I believe that's in the detailed instructions Crumb gives the musicians (an attempt to make the piece more ritualistic and/or remove some humanity?)
