If you want to build the deck cheaper, I would pull super poly, waking the dragon, and play pot of extravagence instead. That way don't need to worry about the extra deck. (Honestly, might be better that way too, but I wanted to show off waking the dragon.)
I have made it to plat with a Lair deck, but I had to start adding Labyrinth cards (Like 1 Lady, 3 searchers, 2 of the traps) for the GY trap resets Ha ha, its "Doto Doya"!
I run Lilith in my Amazement deck and to protect backrow I run Starlight Road. My opponent tries to dust my backrow I negate and get a Stardust Dragon. Not say it works all the time, but it's fun when it does.
Imperial iron wall and eradicator virus are your best friends in this meta. I've made it to diamond 5 using a more control orientated version of this setup with solemn strike and judgement!

I'm personally partial to Ties of the Brethren for this archetype, and I tend to leave out the big boss monsters. Ties just gets you *so* many Ladies of Lament, and you can throw in one copy each of cards like Skull Meister and even Barrier Statue of the Abyss to go along with Ahrima if you want. Sangan also is pretty strong in a build like that, allowing you to go: Summon a level 3, activate Ties, get another Lady + Sangan, tribute Sangan to Lilith, Sangan search a hand trap such as Maxx "C" 😁 I'm glad people are paying attention to this deck regardless though, very unique and fun, if expensive and not very competitive.

@@iremiagaming oh yeah I’ve seen fafnir do that (without lair) to eradicator the lady for spells and then barrage for traps or vice versa. I’ve been able to pull it off too sometimes

I know I'm late to the party, but for the recovery Lair ladies; why not accelerate your bankshes to get them online faster? Maybe run D Shifter or fissure to control your opponent, and banish your own traps that you can bring back?
Runick is real tough for the deck. But if you can manage to resolve eradicator it’s pretty hilarious. I managed it with the lair labrynth version I’ve been working on.
The deck is pretty expensive unfortunately. If you want to make it cheaper, don't worry about the extra deck, pull super poly & Waking the Dragon, and just play Pot of Extravagance. You could also mess with Ties of the brethren (...also URs) over the tour guides. Edit: Adding things to pull.
I think its better to use pot of duality over prosperity since duality doesnt have a cost but either impressive deck Super useful for beating annoying decks like timelords
I think its better to run 3 extravagence and doubles of the best monsters in your extra deck. Problem with Lair decks is that they are too slow to get going compared to say Labrynth

That Runick game went well because their build sucked. They wasted space on handtraps/and worthless traps. Say what you will but even playing 3x Runick Droplets/Dispelling would be better than wasting space on those cards. They at least give you more Runick names and the ability to summon your Runick monsters without wasting more valuable cards. Also the R.Droplets into Dispelling is a neg 7/8 against most decks.

You could use Dark sacrifice for destruction protection. Plus it combos with Alice.

I'm actually running ties of the brethren in my current build of the deck, I just haven't gotten around to making another video for it.

Lair can be diamond 1 worthy in some meta, i managed to reach d1 with it the last two months, but now it's pretty hard against Runick.

Yes if there is another monster on the field because you need to tirbute 2 monsters for lava golem
