Random guess--and I know this would be crazy, and totally unexpected, but what if it's The Borg! Think about it--they were formally only interested in appropriating tech, then they expanded to assimilating biologicals and that didn't really go well for them. Maybe now they're covertly stealing tech--staying off the radar... Kind of joking, but hey! Qapla' @windgraceproject!
The Borg? Why we haven't seen them in AGES! haha. That could be interesting. I'm imaging whoever it is probably needs to tie back into Lower Decks as a show. If it's just some crazy villain from Trek history, that's cool, but it doesn't have quite as much weight within the world of LD. I do like your idea. That would mean we have 3 faction of Borg. The friendship Borg from PS2, the regular Borg which must still remain in some form (which could be the changed kind you are thinking of) and then the Borg from PS3 since this is before that. @@startreknitpickers5838
