You don't have any choice. Likewise, when she want you to smile, you smile. She reaches every one of us on a personal level, and we all find ourselves with tears running down our faces from time to time without even knowing why.
Her singing opens up a space that is part of all that excists. In that space healing is possible. She is not singing, she is letting the singing happen by simply being in that space and not standing in the way of what wants to come into this world, what wants to become conscious. She is truly amazing isn’t she! The lyrics of this song hurt me so much and when she sings it it’s a hundred times worse. She shows such emotion when she sings and that emotion sears straight into your soul.
The summer she was 12 with Ivan Mendez. Every single one of their songs together is a must listen. Just two artists, sitting down and doing what they do. Neither are perfect, but that’s what makes it so perfect and authentic. These recording were never planned ahead. All spontaneous. She would decide what she wanted to sing. Ivan would figure out his part. They might run through it a couple of times. Then one take recording. Unless he messed his part up. Which he admitted happened when he got too engrossed in her vocals. Lol And the Neumann mic was a birthday gift from that year. Great mic. So sensitive. You can hear her breathe
Friend, she gives you the illusion, that you are the only one listning to her, what is not an illusion, is her appreciation to us as fans. She said so in summer 2022 in Norway at her concerts. I have a theory about AJ. In my opinion she is a generational talent. So many qualities and abilities to point to. However, my theory is AJ sings at a sonic resonance that resonates with her audience. It's beyond tone and phrasing. When you listen to her you feel the music inside you and you go down the rabbit hole without even realizing it. When the song is over you crave more like it ended too soon. I find myself going back and listening multiple times and not get tired of the experience. There are frequencies that effect us and are all around us daily. Her singing touches you and I consider it art in it's highest form.
Exactly!!!! I like that she uses very few instruments to back her up. Seems in the last decade the singers have worn less cloths and so much back up you can’t hear them. I’ve been a musician for over 50 yrs. YoYo Ma says that when a musician can make people feel what they feel , that’s a good musician. Also I love the blues and jazz and the fact that she’s bringing it back. Several kids have commented on her music choices and they actually like it.
She sings this with far more emotion laden penetration than Adele's original. Note that the setting is so casual that she has to read the lyrics off a tablet at her side while Ivan just does his best to follow her lead. This was a production ready 'one take' performance that could have gone right to the public for sale.

Ivan Mendez was Angelina's (12y) guitarist in LA in 2018. In an interview with Alan Papier on his CZcams channel, Ivan told the story of how the cover's came about. In a nutshell "Angelina doesn't have a wish list of songs, she decides spontaneously if she likes a song. After hearing a song she says great song and has downloaded the lyrics. OK, well, let's start ". Then the cover was recorded in one take, Angelina sang the song here for the first time after her arrangement without rehearsing beforehand. 💯 *AJ* 💯

This is the second time I’ve commented today on a reaction to this song. And I’ll say the same thing: when I heard this the first time, I knew that Angelina, at 12, in an impromptu session with Ivan backing her, was the best singer I ever heard in my 70 years of listening to music. Her raw voice is stunning, mesmerizing-but her interpretation of these lyrics takes Adele’s song to another level. Adele sings about her pain, and we feel that. When Angelina sings this, we understand how these lyrics are about each of us and the missed opportunities in our lives. There are so many songs you have ahead of you, so I’ll give you a gentle warning: don’t try to rate Angelina’s songs against each other. Her span of genres and her vocal development over 10 years gives us absolutely stunning performances in completely different styles, moods, and rhythms. Acoustic Angelina gives you that voice full throttle, and it hits you hard the tenth or hundredth time you hear it. Her voice now has matured with rich tonal depth and resonance, but I go back to these younger performances all the time. I listen to Angelina every day-and I never came close to that with any other singer in my life.
Angelina's voice is electric. It's like a potent drug that you can feel coursing through your veins. The tone and texture of her voice are magical. This simple, beautiful and relatable song and her interpretation is so moving, transports me.

This is the second time I’ve commented today on a reaction to this song. And I’ll say the same thing: when I heard this the first time, I knew that Angelina, at 12, in an impromptu session with Ivan backing her, was the best singer I ever heard in my 70 years of listening to music. Her raw voice is stunning, mesmerizing-but her interpretation of these lyrics takes Adele’s song to another level. Adele sings about her pain, and we feel that. When Angelina sings this, we understand how these lyrics are about each of us and the missed opportunities in our lives.
There are so many songs you have ahead of you, so I’ll give you a gentle warning: don’t try to rate Angelina’s songs against each other. Her span of genres and her vocal development over 10 years gives us absolutely stunning performances in completely different styles, moods, and rhythms. Acoustic Angelina gives you that voice full throttle, and it hits you hard the tenth or hundredth time you hear it. Her voice now has matured with rich tonal depth and resonance, but I go back to these younger performances all the time. I listen to Angelina every day-and I never came close to that with any other singer in my life.
I agree, angelinas singing voice is amazing but her ability to interpret and arrange music is other worldly.

Angelina's voice is electric. It's like a potent drug that you can feel coursing through your veins. The tone and texture of her voice are magical. I've never heard another singer who can express the emotions in a song and evoke emotions in the listener like Angelina can. She is a gift to everyone who is willing to open their hearts and just listen.

Our angel Angelina is simply the best singer in those days in my opinion...I heard a lot of singer during my life but Angelina is the only one that touch my soul and heart deeply...Usually, listen to her singing tears come to my eyes...I am following her in the youtube since her presentation on AGT Champions in 2019....from there till today she is my favourite singer...
