Finland has always impressed me with how well they do in ice hockey for such a small country. They may not often win major international tournaments, but they quite often finish somewhere in the top 3. They are like a smaller version of Canada when it comes to hockey. They are consistently very mentally tough, and no other nation is better than them when it comes to bronze medal games in the olympics!

As a Canadian, that final didn't bother me. Well deserved win. And I was happy to see Canada in the final after struggling early in the tournament. They played well enough to win, but Finland had a LOT of confidence / momentum, especially after beating Russia and stopping their perfect run.

Actually, as a Canadian I wasn't too upset about losing in the final. The final was further than I thought Canada would make it after the opening game loss to Finland. Finland showed that you don't have to have the best players to have the best team.
If you told me after the opening game loss to Finland that Canada would make it to the final, I'd have been pleasantly surprised.
Such poor winners you are. Canadians were beat by an outstanding goalie and some fantastic front of net defensive control. Canadians overwhelmed them with shots and play. Finns lost games where there goalie wasn't fantastic, and that could have been this game very easily. Something they need to work on as its called hockey..............not goalie. I like the finns but really hate whiny poor winners.

However I dont agree with your description of Team Finland. Yes, defence was in big part but you have to remember that we did score more goals than Team Canada, and that is acguired by offensive play.
