    Great video. Very clear and easy to follow everything. If i didn't already have the dealer install mine at one of my service intervals i'd definitely be doing this upgrade myself. Also like your cable on the seat crowl, mine just came off a few weeks ago so now i'm deciding whether or not to paint or replace it. tried to wrap it myself but that didn't go too well.

    • @ALFAVITAGA
      @ALFAVITAGA  Před rokem

      Thank you! Its a pretty easy install. I had my seat cowl fly off after my dealer didn’t secure it in place. In their defense these seat cowls are tricky to secure. They replaced it for free, but I wanted to make sure that will not happen again so the wire is an extra safety. ✌️

    You Sir are an absolute legend, this helped me to remove my ECU to enable the dealer who was then able to supply me the code and IMU, to then be programmed by my local dealer (saved myself £200 for cost of IMU) for my Tuono 660 - Happy days.

    Hey the video is cool but what is it really for?
    A gain in HP? Or just the bike breathes better
    I don't know what is velocity stacks can you explain ?

    • @ALFAVITAGA
      @ALFAVITAGA  Před 2 měsíci

      Thank you! Velocity stacks smooth the flow of the air into the inlet tract by utilizing the conical entry shape. The conical shape creates an entry radius for the air to follow, avoiding narrow restricted air flow. Narrow entry causes loss of horsepower. They also alter the inlet tract length. By inlet tract length we refer to the distance from the head of the intake valve to the manifold including the throttle body, to the summit of the velocity stack. The easiest way to alter the inlet tract distance is the height of the velocity stack. The height of the velocity stack is crucial, as it manages the pressure wave in the inlet tract. By managing the pressure wave by distance, you have control of the power output on the rev range. In layman’s terms, if you want more power on the high rev range you shorten the height of the velocity stack and if you want more power on the low or mid-range you increase the height of the velocity stack. The reason for that is that airflow is constant, but the intake valve opening is not. Which means that for a split moment the air flow hits a wall and stops at the head of the intake valve while being forced to return back to the entry point of the velocity stack. That happens multiple times in a millisecond. The optimal power output will be to time the airflow return to the opening of the valve. That can only happen on certain RPM with a certain velocity stack height. The optimal velocity stack is the one that smoothens the power output throughout the rev range but also offers more power at the desired rev range. In the case of the Gabro stacks for the RS660, they increase power on the low and mid-range by giving a smooth power output throughout the rev range.

    What is this upgrade going to do?

    • @ALFAVITAGA
      @ALFAVITAGA  Před 2 měsíci

      By raising the velocity stacks higher it increases the power on low and mid range. It also comes with a free map for the Upmap. In combination with the map, it increases the power throughout the rev range but mostly on the mids. Gabro just developed variable stacks for the RS660, which will give more power throughout the rev range.

      @ALFAVITAGA  Před rokem +2

      Velocity stacks basically move power around the rev range. It’s not so much about horsepower. In my case they increased power delivery on low and mid range. I will upload a ride review with them.
