Charles talent build Drop elite soldiers and snare of thorns and you can pick up all the rest of point in the inf tree (the health and defence and march speed) and that extra march speed in the defence tree. You end up with more stats overall than going to elite soldiers. And snare of thorns isn't great so not missing out there. 2.5% attack less but alot more defense, health and march speed

With 50% expansion and just using t4 in HA and got 30 million kills. Healing is so much cheaper with T4 and vip15 and being in France. I have xenobia expertised and am working on harald now
I really enjoy your videos but I have a comment regarding your standing on gold key commanders. For mid to low level spenders it takes a long time to max a commander with gold keys and no universals. I've been playing two years and still haven't expertised martel. Now I did use universals on cao early on, and had I not he may still not be expertised or by the time he did he would be past his most useful days and surpassed by newer commanders. I think there are certain key commanders worth investing in, particularly Martel who can remain relevant even today
Indeed, I've been saying this for a while. Definitely be smart about it but in the end this isn't a retirement account, it's a game. With the combined heads from keys plus a few unis you can get some useable commanders and have fun.
I've started out recently and I'm using sun tzu and martel together and they been working pretty flicking great for me so far and I'm viking civilization so I got that infantry buff too. Haven't watched the video yet but I'm positive my pair is hella good
I pretty much agree with your top, I allow myself to add this to defend Richard 😁 : Richard + Jeanne (Infantery) : Not much focused on the battlefield -> buff more longer. Good buff for your troops and your allies, just tested in my current kvk and it rocks 👌

I don't use that tree for guan open field. The right hand side of the infantry tree is rather meh more focused on adding and reducing march speed. I prefer to have those points placed into maxing the skill tree. Guan is heavily focused around skill damage so that should be boosted as priority before march buff/debuffs imo

I’ve used this combo extensively and it’s certainly solid. It’s very tanky but is not a must-answer threat like some of the other combos, which is why it did not make my list. That said, the survivability is higher, which for many players is a good thing.

As my own experience battling top SW 1075 players, most of them used Richard LEO, so not putting Richard LEO is a big flaw here as this is the only combo can counter Guan LEO and also out AOE Richard Alex! So ppl, best infantry on defensive is Richard LEO > Richard Alex best infantry on offensive is Guan LEO > Guan Alex (I used to be the best Guan Leo in 1113 if you don't believe me, message Benzville, the kingdom's alpha) Best vanguard infantry, this, I agree with Chisgul: Charlie Harold!
Artemisia have a incorrect skill description, her primary skill does reduced dmg for every additional targets. According to lilith, this was just an “ description error” and not a “nerf” Do you still recommend players to invest in her?
I can't help but notice 4th and 3rd has harald/ 2nd and 1st has guan. What would you recommend for 4 seperate infantry field marches instead. I have all but zenobia.
im not that experienced at rise of kingdoms but i started with a calvery commander and got him and and when richard unlocked i got his first skill maxed, do you think having a split way of calc and infantry, one to protect and the other to attack, or should i only focus on 1 troop
All the above could work. And don't forget suntzu if you're running out of gold heads, he's basically a ghetto version of ysg. I'd use Charles primary for the defense tree
I‘m still missing Harald so I cannot argue too much against this list as I‘m a infantry main, too. But I think with the right legendary gear Guan Harald in a all 5 DPS march setup will do better than any of those pairings. If you get the tankiness by being a whale those 2 just put out too much damage. However, as of now I‘m planning on Alex+Harald and Guan+Leo, too.

They’re doing very different things, and both combos are powerful. Leo is doing more AOE damage and has great sustain, especially when dropping below 50% health. Alex is shielding a nearby march, debuffing your primary target, and causing 3 targets to take increased damage.

If you had an urgent need to use him, you could. It’ll be a solid long-term investment. You’re essentially making a trade for a short to mid-term gain at a long-term cost (charles sculptures from gold keys after he’s expertised are wasted). It’s a fine choice to make.

For most fierce warrior who likes infantry, listen to me: Guan Harold is your way to go! last kvk, we had a 58million player with maxed Guan Harold, not neccesary the best gear, but in rally or in open field, Guan Harold punished so many players and it is as deadly as Charlie Harold.

Expertise YSG because if you have a Guan 5-1-1-1 that’s nice and you can use 2 very good dps commanders
You already have alex exptz, so go for guan. In kvk3 you will need guan more than ysg.
Do ysg. Barb chaining matters and he can defend a structure. Better in a murder ball with the circular aoe too.

finally after 100 days, Chis acknowledged Guan Leo, but got the tree wrong, you can't have full nuking power on full infantry tree.

Infantry rally is guanyu with leonidas. So you will have guanyu talents to do rally. Will anyone use rally talent for field? Or Alex/guanyu for field?

1 troop type is the best play but when you get powerfuk you should focus on more troop types

Pair them. They are solid at those levels. Invest in the guan to max. When skill lock is released take Leo to 5515. 💪
