Outstanding knife. Awesome video.
That's a great way to finish the plunge line. Simple and effective.
Thanks
Wow what a beautiful knife!! Amazing
Omfg! That is awesome! Absolute art! Wow!i want one!
This film makes me think of how skilled and capable the human hand and brain are. It's a shame there are billions of hands that will not create anything nearly so beautiful of useful.
Beautiful work!
Thanks
Great work!
amazing job!!!
Thanks
Awesome! Now I feel like playing a round of Gwent
Haha, thanks ;)

Top de mais seu trabalho
Spetacular!
Thanks ;)
Wow
Gracias
What knife would you like us to make? ;)
Some sort of tanto would be cool, or if not a kukri with a desert ironwood handle would also be cool
Barbershop Customs very nice knife. Try to make the same knife with different shape of the handle. It seems to be like a kitchen knife handle. 👍
@@cheezez1904 Were planning to make a kukri, but it's gonna take a while :D
@@MJ-wh1ny Thanks man, what makes you think it looks like a kitchen knife handle? ;)
@@BarbershopCustoms sweet, that will be interesting
Love😍😍😍
Thanks :)
CONGRATULATIONS PERFECT
Thank you
Nothing is perfect.
Breathtaking job 🤤🤤❤️
Is this knife for sale?
Thank you, yes, you can buy it at:
www.barbershop-customs.pl/product/turquoise/
Nice drawing pencil I have one to 😆
Thanks
🔥🔥👍👍👍
👍😊
Can you use teak oil or bee wax on stabilized wood as finish? Nice knife!
I think it will be fine, we use linen oil and it works pretty good
That's a beauty. What kind of polish did you use on the handle?
Thanks, it's a fine polishing paste for cars ;)
Beautiful job! How did you texturize the blank? Looks almost like a needle scaler but a tighter pattern.
Thanks, we didn't texturize it, it's a texture that is created during hot rolling
You make wonderful knives. In your online shop you have the option to buy a knives without / with a simple leather sheet. How does it look like? There is no picture for an example.
Thank you, heres what an example sheath looks like:
instagram.com/p/B5qfFREnwPt/
The reason we don't have a photo of a sheath for given knife that's not sold yet is that we make sheaths after purchase :)
Beautiful knife after such meticulous work! Btw what belt grinder do you have?
Thank you, it's a custom made one in Poland :)
@@BarbershopCustoms damn its nice, how can I get one?
Beautiful knife. But I'm interested in the one on your belt
Hah thanks, this is one of the first knives I've ever made, so its not really for sale, but we can make a similar one for you :)
@@BarbershopCustoms I understand that. Just wanted to let you know it's a great looking knife
The handle material is easy probatively,is he not stable?
What jig is that? It looks really slick.
We can make you one, PM us on facebook or via email :)
Why put the knife in foil and why in dry ice? I've watched lots of knifemakers and this is new to me. (Only seen cryogenics with swords.)
The foil serves the purpose of preventing the steel from decarbunization. The cryo heat treatment helps change retained austenite into martensite which results in a harder steel ;)
👏👏👏👏🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
How quickly do you put it in the dry ice after the heat treatment? Is it still warm ?
Immediately after it reaches room temperature
modern looking, it is very nice. what is steel?, what is you called this material handle?,thank you
The steel is D2, the scales on the handle are out of Stabilized wood
@@BarbershopCustoms many thanks.

Great looking knife, but that doesnt look like any turquoise Ive ever seen, honestly looks more like pietersite to me. Good job none the less.
Thanks, well, it's a bit dark turquoise :D
@@BarbershopCustoms I love turquoise and have lots of it, incl a necklace that I never part with, but calling it pietersite isnt an insult by any means, they sell pietersite by the carat!
Beautiful stone. I used to slab and cab it for a friend of mine who's in the rock and gem biz. He owns property in Namibia where they primarily mine it. My main knife is a 440 stainless with mocume gane bolster and mammoth ivory handle by Cosmo knives ?(Seth Burton) from back when he still made customs.
How much would it cost for you to make one of these for me?
What degree do you grind your edge out with
Never measured it, it depends on the design and thickness of the steel and is most of the time a bit different for different knives :D
Barbershop Customs what degree would you say for 1095

@@BarbershopCustoms polska język trunda język 😂 no zależy kto czym zabezpiecza stal. Ja przestałem foli używać. Szybciej mazidlem i bez problemu
@@agknives9119 Masz mazidła, które powyżej 1000C chronią?
just knives 👍 try to make a Yakut knife...
We might make one stone day 😊👍
@@BarbershopCustoms good

👍👍👍🔪🔪🔪
👍
Why you put in Ice???
To change retained austenite into martensite, it makes the steel harder
THIS WOULD BE A MUCH BETTER BUSH-CRAFT KNIFE IF THE BLADE WERE NOT THE SAME WIDTH IN ITS straight-blade part. In other words, if it had a slight cut-out, "belly" to it, about 1/2 of the way back. Other knives have this and are easier seen than me explain it. What this does is let the wielder cut and shave wood better, with the recessed belly, than with a 100% straight blade. See? Although these are maybe the best knives I have ever seen.
deep cold ? -196
Yup, -80C
@@BarbershopCustoms Thank you. !!! How about 1095 carbon steel.
and speed. 40`c or 50`c/min. Cooling rate

That is not an EDC knife.
If someone carries it every day, then it is an edc knife ;)
Wow, insane. Nice scale's. Porn 😄
Thank you ;)
Do a different blade profile for God’s sake

Wait a minute wait a minute ! Questions ... 1 why are you drawing a knife you already have ? posing for the camera ? 2 that knife was water jet cut if im not mistaken , so your having some one else cut them for you , IE your not a custom knife maker or indeed a knife maker , your a production knife assembler ...... and there was me thinking this video was about a custom knife ....shame .... PS im a blacksmith everything i make is unique and people like you are the reason i stop making knives , any one that can afford a grinder thinks hes a custom knife maker and joe public cant seem to tell the difference .
@@levi.j.s3774 there is a word for people who comment on comments instead of commenting on the video its called troll and funny enuff if your picture is anything to go by you have troll hair lol
@@levi.j.s3774 my point exactly its not art its not creative its not unique when you have 200 of the same thing cut out by a third party its assembly work he prob buys the handles in pre cut also i didnt watch the rest but would not surprise me .
@@levi.j.s3774 i will do that IF you agree to stop being impressed by people with no skill that scream from the roof tops (much louder than actual skilled qualified people) how much skill they have and rely on joe public being to dumb to know the difference , i bet you think forged in fire is cool lol
Excellent work!!
Thank you
Wow
