Thanks for this video. Iam about to do my 01 and this definitely helped. I've done a few forks back in the day, but it's been a while, and I've never done an inverted. Looks pretty straight forward, should be no problem after I build the tools. Thanks again.
Great video! Thank you! Btw, 01 suspension oil as stated in the manual is about 5w, not 10w. There is a chart about fork oil grades of different manufacturers where a guy can compere one to another by looking at 40°,100° viscousity figures. But it does not affect the process anyhow

Sure thing dude, the hardest part is compressing the spring to remove and reinstall the cap. You got it, just nuts and bolts!
@@lubetube. Thanks man. I'll let you know how it goes when it's done. You going to be posting the test ride?

Thanks for the info!
would also correlate with 2003? also where did find the manual? i also have a right fork that’s leaking
Just go a Google search of 2003 Yamaha YZF-R1 PDF
What model of brake master cylinder do you have?
You could've just it back & tighten the triple tree & removed or loosened the top bolt...
It leaks about every 2 years so ill consider that way the next time.
