Girrrrrl, keep your Chanel bags. It seems like the luxury community has become somewhat monotonous and stagnant with its obsession with Hermes. Hermes has great quality, undeniably, but they have old lady vibes and are boring beyond words for the price you pay. Thereâs no personality.
Agreed. Everyone is trying to get the unicorn Hermes bag, just like they all tried to get a unicorn Chanel bag 5 years ago.

Do it! I have become âviciousâ with decluttering just because these are just things. And if they no longer suit you, well, taaaaa! Took me several years for me get to place where I can detach from an item with more ease once they no longer serve a purpose to my life. Our life changes, our style changes and holding on to item just because we should, is ridiculous. Be happy with only what makes you truly happy now, coz tomorrow is not promisedâŚ.! So, byeeee! (And if they come back in the future, they come backâŚso what!) lol

Definitely a tough decision. Personally I really like the aesthetic of the 19, but totally get the black bag issue. For that one I might prefer a color that still works as a neutral but isn't black. Maybe navy? Thanks for sharing have a great day.

Hi Amy, I just ordered with threads and I wanted to say that their customer service is stellar! I ordered the wrong size initially ( bc I didnât read correctly, thinking A was cup size) and they changed my order accordingly! Then I wanted to try a different color as well instead of two ivory. And they changed one to tan for me. Thank you so much for the rec!!! â¤

The Gabrielle is very much a trend bag and the trend is over. They have not been issued for several seasons already but are not officially no longer produced. The Chanel 19 is also a trend bag which is still in fashion. But in 10 years, nobody will want one. Splurge on the classic flaps which are truly classic.

Could you do a video on how you decide if you are going to let go of a luxury bag? I am agonising over my B30. I LOVE it but I use it once per year. And I feel self conscious wearing a birkin. I would love your view on process to go through to help you decide.

I really like that avocado mini coco. Itâs just so unique and I donât see people carry it and Iâm very interested. Out of all my least favorite is the gold color H bag.

From an outsider perspective, it sounds like you're justifying hermes a lot, esp when you say because you spent a lot of money and need to use the items instead of loving and automatically gravitating towards it. You seem to really need to put effort in making it work rather than when you speak about Chanel, it just naturally blends in with your wardrobe.
Unless you're ready to part with your Chanel's, not because you just want to make space to fund for more hermes, i say keeo them! Esp the Gabrielle. Your video and love for it originally made me come to terms in the end that made me end up purchasing one a couple years later. I can't imagine ever letting it go now. đ
I heard a rumor on Instagram a few months ago that Chanel was bringing back the mini in caviar, but who knows if it was true! I would absolutely love the Murakami to come backâŚthough I think I would want it all!!! đ
Iâm not shocked you are downsizing by considering selling your black bags at all. Iâm a bit surprised you are choosing to keep the Chanel 19 over the Gabrielle since the Gabrielle seems more your style, itâs a bit more understated than the 19 and I donât think the style will look as dated as the 19 will in the future, but thatâs just my opinion. keep whatever bags make your heart sing.đ

aww amy, if i were your size i would buy up all your self portrait RTW, but alas iâm at least 2 sizes ahead haha. is there a platform in canada you can do trades or exchanges on? i have been trading off my RTW on a local platform for a variety of H things i love - i have brought home the mosaique tableware, leather bracelet, even fine jewelry like CDC ring in exchange for my used RTW. itâs an effective way to get good value on your RTW and fun way to meet likeminded ladies and make new friends đ¤
