Hey, lore buds! This video is part of the "backlog" system that channel mod Viryl has been creating. He plays the entirety of a game, creates a special no-commentary 'lore cut', and give me access to the save file so I can study notes, characters, and locations. This way, I can double up on projects. You can check out those cuts here: bit.ly/3weDDuJ
Give Viryl a like/subscribe! This video was possible because of him.
PEACE.

Great vid, there is just little spoiler :D At start we dont know what happened to Sarah, if she is alive or not but in the gameplay at the "Present" day part we can see her next to Deek on mission with him, that kinda give away the secret. :)
Hi just wanted to say I love your video on days gone I finished it recently and while fighting a swarm I thought wtf happened some bits I got and some confused me but I’m thankful for this video because it explained a lot to me and helped me understand
I love that you had a pink paint job on your bike really made me chuckle
All MC members call one another "brother". Motorcycle Clubs are considered a brotherhood.
Hey you have a really great voice for narration it is very easy to listen to you. Great vid!
I was really sorry to hear that the planned sequel to this game was cancelled. Unless things change, it looks like there will be no Days' Gone 2 unfortunately. This really was an under appreciated game. Your recap of it was beautiful as always, if I do say so.
one of the reasons why I want it to sell well on PC.
Yeah, i hate that fact. GIVE US DAYS LEFT 👁💧👄💧👁
I think this is a good one and done game. It was a good game, but I don't think a sequel would be good.
@@David-mw3th nero and freaks with upper brian function dude. Lot of questions left unanswered. A sequel would be good and preferred but im fine with a comic or book. Too bad they ripped apart the dev studio
Not cancelled it was rejected. So there is still a chance for a sequel. If they can pitch a better idea for a sequel and get the Sony execs on-board then they can still make a sequel
this game was truly a gem wish i had played it sooner it’s so much more then people think
IKR!!!💯 I was hesitant because of reviews and open world fatigue after playing Far Cry 4 and Horizon: Zero Dawn. But when I started this game, I honestly couldn't put it down until I saw the end credits and now, I am praying that a small team is starting the beginnings of a sequel like it was intended via the cliffhanger ending. This game got too much hate that it truly didn't deserve. The gameplay loop wasn't a chore like in the Far Cry games. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Days Gone.
Well said. I really enjoyed the game. I think some polishing and glitch patching before release could have helped.
@@thetalkingbear If your talking about days gone, one thing they gotta fix is how your camera can see button prompts even though your not facing them makes you have to reface and then move camera back know what I mean? Or am I the only one who had this issue
Because you can see them but not press them
Its a shame his initial state
You're voice and narration is incredibly soothing and captivating. Great work here, you will have tens of thousands of subscribers in a shorter time than you think. Congratulations.
Thank you for such kind words!
I see that pink bike. Nice little cue that you actually played the game. That's awesome. I don't know why this game didn't get more attention. It has a really good story and was truly fun. The hoards were a neat concept and some of them took serious planning. Tearing out of there on your bike wasn't always an option either, unless you strategically placed it. Laid traps for the hoard, and led them where you wanted them to go (though they would flank and make your day go south quick lol). Anyway, great job on the lore and narration!
I think people saw the trailers for it and thought it was going to be another generic zombie game
This game surprised me immensely. I, too, thought it was another zombie game and was feeling that zombie game and open world fatigue. But when I played this game, I couldn't put the controller down until I saw the end credits. Thoroughly enjoyed my time with this game. Deserves more praise than the hate that it got.
My bike is just Black and has the Devil Chick decal almost fully maxed out
To be fair the pink bike is pretty
@@zzodysseuszz then why are you here if you disliked it so much, just to comment that? It's certainly an opinion. Not that I or likely anyone that care much, we're not the game devs.
Boozer and Jack is honestly one of my favourite part of the game.
The way you go over the story is just amazing! I’ve not played some of the games you’ve gone over but man do I feel like I’ve experienced them and have fallen in love with some of these characters!
Oh, I love this. Thank you!
Fooster is playing the full game walkthrough brilliant series so far with the last 3hrs to come next week
@@richie2395 just finished it and it is amazing. I love how he plays through the game. It's been awhile since I've seen a long unedited let's play. It's surprisingly refreshing compared to highly edited and loud gaming videos.
Gotta be honest probanly one of the best channels just the way you deliver the plot with yiur own quips is great and the way you read over ur script is miles ahead most ppl on here thank you
Thank you so much for those kind words
You’re due for a blow up dude I’ve been binging all your content it’s really high quality and you’re a really talented story teller
^
I
This right here
the wholesome and close friendship between boozer and deacon is my absolute favourite aspect of this game
This was a good game, it's a shame Sony basically dropped it and there's now no next to no chance of a sequel even though one was heavily teased
Pretty interesting story, more than I thought there would be. More than just a zombie outbreak game.
This game has really good quiet moments and good dialogue and looks and little conversational quirks. I like alot of the mundane stuff and the talks in this game opposed to the hordes and the big bombastic stuff, for me that's when the game became a bit generic and more like other games. But the slower moments and story is what made this game unique to me. If I could play it without the hordes and the lackluster gunplay and played it more like a survival game I would
Your voice is phenomenal for these kinda vids. Idk why but your well spoken tone really adds to the story. Keep it up!
I like how you say during moments someone is injured that “this isn’t a movie, this isn’t skin deep” which I appreciate a lot because nobody seems to notice all to well that in stuff like this, injuries like that are never life or death
I just realized I missed the last O’ Brian reveal. At that point I was just tired of the game but knowing that ending is there puts this game in a better light. Too bad there’s not going to be a sequel.
Your personality is like a friend exited to talk about your subject matter, it really makes these vids special, definitely subscribing.
I love your narration. Your scripts are generous in their verbiage, wonderfully colorful, and easily digestible.
Love the channel!
I love the way you present the lore for some of my favorite video games. It also helps how pleasant and soothing your voice is.
I platinumed this game over a month ago and I absolutely love this game
I hope they make a sequel for this.
I think everyone who's played it start to finish wishes the same thing, but unfortunately it was shit on by game journalists and was overshadowed on release by some bugger, better known game (I can't remember what game though). That resulted in pretty bad sales, and the devs have basically just said no, we are never going to do a sequel.
A huge shame since it ended on a massive cliffhanger
A wonderfully written and well read piece, of a criminally under appreciated title.
I still hold hope that a free-thinking and imaginative publisher (do they even exist?) will obtain the rights (maybe even recruit Bend devs) to create a worthy successor.
Oh my god, thanks for this, I always dismissed this game as yet another generic zombie nonsense game.
But now I actually want to play it.
And that great narrative skills of yours are the cherry on top.
I had so much fun in this game, way more than what the reviews said. Did reviewers expect this to be another TLOU?!? I never play a game and try to compare it to another game but it could be in the TLOU universe easily but this is its own thing. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Days Gone. This game deserves more praise than the hate that it got.💯
its soooo good. I hope you ended up getting it and beating it :D
totally underrated explanation of the story of Days Gone, fantastic job👏
I liked and followed just because it was about Days Gone. The story, the way it is told, just pulled me in and truly has me caring about every character. Great job on the lore. Thanks for the summary. I love the music for this game. I'm playing through again.
so the virus is basically FEV but functional.
FEV works though. Just not how it was supposed to
Deacon is one of my all time favourite characters from an amazingly brilliant game.
Thank you so much for putting this much effort and time for making this , games like this really helped saving the gaming in general
We need a sequel to this game, its better than TLOS, a few more rough edges sure, but ultimately a much better game than TLOS.
Do you mean TLOU? Because you're right it has (too many) rough edges, and is definitely not better than The Last of Us. But I can appreciate what they were trying to do with this game.
@@Matt-lp1xp Yup, dunno how I managed to make that typo twice >.< I think anyone thats played both games would agree that while DG is more simple technically with more rough edges the story is a lot more interesting, told other stories within the main story rather than just give bullet points like TLOU, but DG also has more fun and diverse gameplay while not setting you on rails anywhere near as much. I loved TLOU (1, not 2), but after playing DG in about 70% of ways I consider it better any game that ends on a cliffhanger should be done the courtesy of allowing a sequel to wrap things up.
IDK man I've played TLOU2 like 6 times and got platinum. This game was kinda fun but got bored of the story and the generic open world just drained my motivation.
"The Last of Su" 😅
The last part of the video really freaking scared the hell out of me. O'brian is actually BALD!
My first time watching this channel and by far one of the best lore videos I've seen not super in depth but absolutely well executed 10/10
I could listen to this woman tell these stories all day. I've only played about 20 minutes of this game about a year ago. After this video, I'm going to spend the weekend playing it.
I played Days Gone when it was free on PS+, so I didn't have to deal with the bugs everyone complained about in the early days. I guess that made the game a gem for me. I enjoyed that the characters were deep and really seemed like real people, not stereotypes. Complex human beings that were irrational at times, but not for plot or shock value but because humans are complex and irrational at times.
I'm sad that this story is not getting a sequel anytime soon, but at the same time I'm glad that eventually this game got the love it deserved, because Bend made a game that might not have been technically on par with other Sony properties on day one, but narratively Days gone might be as good as any God Of War or The last Of Us.
Facts.
Holy smokes, what a story... beautifully told, Tiptoe. Thank you for the magic you provide!
This game made my eyes sweat so many times. One of the best games ever.
I am playing Days Gone for the first time in 2023. I just finished tucker camp. And I found your channel and I can't thank enough for this. Because without Deacon's backstory it was really difficult for to feel for this man. And I think that's what made critics hate this game so much. I love this game till now, a bit repeatative but the world environment and story more than makes up for it. I can say one thing, I have never been scared to play a game before, this game bgm sound effects and freakers genuinely scared me at times. 😂❤
I felt the same when I played through it. I thought he was very unlikable at first but as the story progressed and we learned more about it he really grew on me. The story was very much a surprise. On top of that I found the gameplay to be more fun that I expected.
They didn't like him because he was a white biker. That's it. Not woke enough my G
@@KenKaniff-dw4jwThey didn't have enough after what happened to Joel.
Thank you for this one. It's a great story and one of my all time favorite games. :)
My pleasure, thank you for checking it out!
Still have no idea how you don’t have more subs, every video is excellent! Can’t wait for more
Thank you for this. Thorough and entertaining. Please make more of this and good luck to your channel.
This was amazing to watch thank you for making this. I cant imagine how much work has gone into this
Soooooo good. I love this game. Have been going through my second playthrough. This vid alone was enough for a sub to see what other lore dives you have coming down the pipe. Can't wait.
This is the first of your videos I've watched, however with that being said, I'm about to watch all of your videos, I'm a lore junkie and this has been one of my favorite games to come out recently, awesome story, and you've crafted this extremely well, thank you lady, and well done 🤘
This explaining of the lore was amazing new sub here keep up the good work glad I wasn’t the only person that saw how amazing this game was
The soundtrack in this game is great and reminds a lot of the soundtrack to far cry 5 which is a near masterpiece in my opinion.
"Keep your rifle by your side",still can't forget that song even though Eden's Gate is a clear allegory to Jonestown and Waco.Along with the cringey as hell "political commentary" that gets spewed with zero context.
The hordes theme sends shivers through me every time 😂
I greatly enjoy listening to your content. From your voice, to your cadence, it's wonderful.
There are very few channels I can fall asleep to listening to something I enjoy, so I appreciate what you do.
You did an absolutely amazing job with your narration. consider me a fan and subscriber. Great work!
Found your channel yesterday with the Horizon lore videos, I fell in love with your channel! Thank you for the great content
Have watched this video at least once a day for the last week. It's my new favorite video of all time. I love this game in general, but your storytelling is sooo great to listen to. Not only is your voice soothing and calming, but the amount of detail you put into your videos sets you so far ahead of other lore-based channels. Thanks for providing such awesome and entertaining content 😌😌
Just found this upload and I loved it, just like how much I love this game. Your narration of the story and summation of the main and side characters was spot on. Keep up the great work and I will go check out your other videos. You got yourself another subscriber.
I've been slowly listening along with my playthrough to catch myself up on story stuff I may have missed and it's truly amazing! You actually inspired me to go and play a lot of the games you've talked about. you're a great storyteller, love your content, keep up the amazing work!
Hey tips! Do you think you'd ever do a lore video on Oxenfree? I absolutely love that game and it has a pretty interesting backstory. It's not a huge amount but a video or twos worth.
Hmm Oxenfree has come up a few times in stream chat. I'll add it to the list! Thanks for the recommendation!
Thank you for sharing, great video. I really love this game and I am grateful for your inept explanation on the game-story. Big up from Sweden 🇸🇪
Oh my... I thought I knew the story before, but listening to such a stunning video got me thinking and realizing some new things. Thank you so much for this amazing work! I truly loved every minute of it. Please, keep it up!
I love 2 things about your channel your, eloquent storytelling and your beautiful voice 😍
This was one of the first videos I watched from you after I saw your bayonetta videos, and the quality you put into your work makes this video one that I still come back to even after I know the story!!
I really appreciate what you do here!
You are amazing!!!
Thank you so much, I loved it!
Just earned yourself a new subscription.
A really good summary of Days Gone. Well done.
I played this as soon as it released on ps4 and absolutely loved it.... Think im gonna play through it again after watching this....
Awesome stuff!!!!
I absolutely loved this game. I got it on launch day and couldn't stop playing it. I didn't get the glitches most people complained about, and it's one of the only games I've gotten a platinum trophy for. Played through it again on the PS5 and it's even better.
I enjoyed this whole recap. Thank you lady
YES I'm so happy I bumped into this channel again XD I love tf out of your narration. Sounds like vocal candy considering many people just read off a script or something with no emotions at all. I think it's so fun how you yourself sound immersed as a narrator. It makes the storytelling vibe that much more effective!
Going to sub since I forgot last time sorry! hahaha Ty for the video i love this game
So you're saying we need to start using those little "Remember to Subscribe!" animations that other CZcamsrs like to spam during their videos? Noted 😏
We're glad you enjoy the vids and found your way back 👏
@@Viryl_TV Put it at the 11 minute mark so you know you've gained people's attention with that great narration and the wonderful editing! Honestly it's not a bad idea XD
Been watching your videos for 2 days now, new subscriberrrrrr your lit 🔥
this game was in my wishlist back then. i was wondering why exactly but i found out why now. kewl vid ma'am!
I finished this game about a year ago, and I still hold it as one game that really pulled me into the story. Thank you for this, it was very special.
First video I've seen of hers and it is amazing I'm addicted
Another great video. Thank you for your hard work.
So good. Awesome content! Can't wait to binge the rest of your stuff. Played Days Gone till the militia, but by then gameplay got pretty stale for me. Thanks for covering the story so well I feel like I didn't miss out on the story at all. That O'brien twist is particularly bleak.
goddamn your videos are becoming the mainstay of my "no energy for anything days", your style of stoy telling and voice help carry my mind away
Thanks for this! Great video
How am I just learning of this channel?? SUBSCRIBED
Always wanted to play this but NOW I'm REALLY ready to experience it. Great work folks
All I have to say is thanks for the clean language. So many videos and other media make it hard not to internalize the bad language so thank you.
This was truly amazing and immersive thank you!
Watching this made me purchase it half way through this video. You deserve some sort of compensation, I can only offer a like and a subscription, keep up the great work! 👌
Love the vid :) cant wait to watch more lore vids
This was the most in depth coverage that I've ever heard. I've watched a Days Gone lore and order before, but this one was outstanding.
This is a perfect narration of the story.
Well done.
Incredible, absolutely incredible video. I'm still laughing at the "freaks coming up from California, causing traffic jams, speeding through school zones to Oregon" jokes
this game was probably in the top 3 best games I have ever played just because of its story and how much I enjoyed playing it over and over thank you so much for making this vid
These are really cool thanks! :)
I was hesitant on this game but watching this really convinced me to pull the trigger
what i like most about this game is that you can Visit a LOT of the locations where Deacon and Sarah go. like the waterfall lake, which is close to the cabin where you find Boozers dog, and the cloverfield research center, which is a BIG part of the main story missions and also the road where you meet Sarah or the first time. those key point areas can be found and visited, and that makes me love this game even more as such details are key to not only make a story but to fill it out more and give it life.
wow such amazing presentation and execution
Instant fan tiptoe the tank
Awesome narration! Your voice is like something out of a movie!!
I’ve not actually played this game, but it sounds dope as fuck
apart from the forced stealth missions with invincible enemies (the NERO missions) it honestly was worth renting-finished it in 5 days.
I absolutely loved this game. The gameplay, the characters, and the lore.
One of my first games I got when I finally bought a PS4. ❤
Likely the best story teller on YT.
Countless hours must have gone into preparing this video. Excellent. thank you.
I truly hope a days gone 2 comes out. I know thats sort of looking like a feeble dream but one can dream, this game has a ton of potential
I’m currently playing this game and I wish I did it earlier very great game
gd knows i should have seen the twist at the end coming, but it genuinely made me gasp. as always your longer vids are a treat!!
Ive gotta say, hot pink with white rims is a pretty bold choice in an apocalypse
You're awesome, very well done videos.. You deserve many more subscribers.
Wonderfully done! The only game I have played through completely multiple times. Only missing Lisa at the end riding in and turning in her own bounties. 😊
At camps you can listen to people talking about what they did before. The saddest one is someone who worked at a dog shelter, they bought a border collie in that turned out to be infected they had to put all the dogs down.
my god, you tell a story good. Listening was a pure joy. thank you The Lady of Lore
Nice video, I enjoyed watching it
Good content! Liked and subscribed
I played this game because of this video. It was amazing, thank you!
can you give me some tips when doing voiceover? I just love how calm, soothing, sweet but still intriguing your voice is. great video as always
