You could use some 3/8 rubber air hose to act as a gasket to seal off the lid and side panels. It’s not permanent so it will be easy to open it and close it as needed.
Definitely always worthwhile building/making your own rather than buying off the shelf. The other options don't account for every cars variation in mods, so you may have had to mod those anyway, at least this way, it's made by you, for you. A couple of things though, you need to be really careful when cutting carbon fibre, especially with power tools, the filaments are so fine and if you inhale them, or they make contact with your skin, you'll definitely know about it. I also made my own with aluminium, but its much dodgier and I think I need to reattempt it, but I used some rubber edging around the sides from Bunnings (especially where it meets the fender), the look is clean and it means it won't scratch or vibrate. All in all good work though, keep up the CP vids!

I just enjoy seeing your videos working on cars and always so chill and mellowed down to earth. Was just asking because i wanted to know if you were doing a 9-5 for example how you found time to go ahead and work on all the builds you’ve had with a positive attitude atleast anyways, thanks zac!
How so? 😂 after driving the car as a daily for around 6 months, having IAT’s in winter be around the 45-50 degree mark, to now being in summer with sub 40 IAT’s, I’d say it worked 😂

It's good to have the rubber moulding around the edges of the box because the vibration of the car will cause it to rub.

Could also do what Mace Engineering do and make the lid Acrylic or Perspex so you can see the pod, add some lighting and would look crazy
