This is an ORIGINAL HorrorBabble Production. - Zábava
Great new story, thank you Jennifer Gill. Both of you, Jill and Ian, soft melodious lullabies always. 🙏🏽💙🔝
This needs a larger audience. You're an amazing narrator!
Absolutely my favorite Horror channel.
I always get excited when I hear Jennifer’s musical cue at the beginning of these videos. Fantastic reading and story!
It's always great when people notice the themes! Thank-you! Jennifer
Wow-awesome tale with great narration!
Great story and narration.
Very cool story. Reminds me of "The Bucket of Blood." He just wanted to be a famous sculptor!
This is more "The Box of Ass" than "The Bucket of Blood" imo.
Beautifully done Jen, thank you very much!
Oooh I really liked this one. Excellent reading!
Thank you Michelle. It's a wonderful little tale. Jennifer
I love both Jennifer and Ian!! They r both such good readers!
Thank you - you are very kind! Jennifer
I got chills as the story reached its climax! So much is left to the imagination (in particular what exactly happens to someone when petrified), and that makes it all the more frightening.
Excellence!
MONDAY AT LAST !! H.B. YOU NEVER LET ME DOWN , Jennifer , I think beside "MOMMY " this might be my favorite of your narrating...Fabulous job , with your beautiful voice...T.Y. 😸
I’m about to listen to that next. If a demon is summoned or i become a ghost then i shall come to you.
This was very different and unexpected, a weird tale indeed. Jennifer Gill was perfect narrating this story.
Great job Jen. Thank you!
At first I thought this would be connected to "The Black Stone", by Robert E. Howard. It was not and I was pleasantly surprised.
This story is good, but sad. I do like the atonement of the character in his final decision.
That really is a creature from the hellish outer planes and dimensions of space! It is so docile, but oh so dangerous.
Fantastic job! Thank you!
Thank you Jennifer. The story was fascinating. I didn't really expect there to be such a creature. Your narration was splendid.
Excellent little story, and narration. Reminds me of The Thing In The Museum.
Beautifully narrated Jennifer. A great story.
Personally, I think that weird tales transcend gender, when written or read out loud.
That said it is always a welcome joy to hear a story written and narrated in the female voice.
Love to hear more!
My first story read by Madame Gill. So enjoyed it! Brava
Great Story! Also it's a thousand times scarier if you've already read "Cat's Cradle" by Kurt Vonnegut Jr (written maybe 40 years later). Ice-9 anyone?
Excellent! Really enjoyed this one - thank you very much!
Wow. So perfectly voiced; just fell right into the tale. So glad I followed the links
brilliant love this one
Fantastic!
Awesome narrative and story
A beautiful reading voice, great story also...
Nicely done
Great choice for a reading! I've never heard (or read) the story before. Well done!
Terrific story and your narration is excellent my dear lady
Great read Jen !! Been suggesting HB to ppl for entertainment while self isolating, posted this story on my FB page, has that perfect creepiness to it.
your voice is becoming quite modulated. you did a wonderful reading! great story, too. it would be so interesting to hear more of the author’s work. :) 🌷
What an ending!!! Great job and many thanks.
Sooooo good! Thank you 😊
wonderful as always, Jennifer - good story
I really like this one. Genuinely creepy.
Nicely read story .
I recently acquired a copy of Weird Tales December 1937 (cost me $125), and that's how I discovered her. Also would highly suggest the book Half in Shadow, which is an Arkham House publication of her short stories.
I'd love to get my hands on an original copy of WT. I'll take a look at that one - thanks for the recommendation!
@@HorrorBabble Ebay is your best source for old pulps. Half in Shadow is only around $30 or so on Amazon.
I'll keep an eye out - thanks for the tip!
Thank you
Awesome story. I really liked it.
Excellent . Hope you are able to do other stories by Mary Elizabeth Counselman (The Three Pennies and The Unwanted are especially good )
Ab fab, Jennifer! Thanx!
Very nice.
Ah, quite similar to Lovecrat's Man of Stone, five years older than it too. Well-written, nonetheless
What is that music in the intro? It’s beautiful.
Wonderful narration, thank you.
Are you from Lancashire, perchance? 🤔 🌹
Almost, Janet!
Northern uk lass... good voice appropriate to this nasty tail
I have a story though I have not read it in full the Isle of the Undead by Lloyd Arthur Eshbach link: en.wikisource.org/wiki/Weird_Tales/Volume_28/Issue_3/Isle_of_the_Undead
Great suggestion Austen - we have a digital copy of the edition of Weird Tales that story was featured in. It's certainly a contender for the channel. Ian
Artists are.the most dangerous thing in the world
I’ve done that to dudes before.
Gripping tale just wish it had ended with the artist giving an account to a third person as to their feelings as they touched the thing in the box before both were cast in stone,& lost, imagination & curiosity collide on the outcome

1. Women reading Women. This is so refreshing. So disappointed by male readers for Nesbit.
Nope! I'm out
