If you do the "Base Swapping" card idea, you should allow players to move their storage around in advance to avoid intentional sabotage. Consider making a storage depot/crafting area outside the local trader.
    Other card ideas:
    1. "Yoink!" Go through another player's storage/inventory and take one item/stack of resources.
    2. "Forced Teams" Target player and yourself must SHARE a horde-base for a night. (Player playing the card can choose which horde base is used).
    3. "I want that one!" Target player has to buy an item from the trader for the person playing the card.
    4. "Missions only." Target player can't build/craft during the day. (Forcing them to go on missions).
    5. "Treasure Hunt!" Target player has to go on a treasure hunt with a map and cannot take missions, build, or craft for the day until they follow a treasure map. (Player playing may need to provide the map if the person targeted doesn't already have one.)
    6. "Gamble!" Pick another player. You and that player wager a certain number of Dukes on a challenge. (First to find ____ wins. etc.)
    7. "Gun Swap". Trade a gun with another player. (Consider putting restrictions like "... of equal level" or "... of the same type".)
    8. "Friendly Fire!" During this Horde Night, you and target player are allowed to shoot at each other until one player dies. (Players might choose to hide or might try to sneak into the enemy base during the Horde for a sneaky kill, but either way: disallow attacking the base).
    9. "Bring me resources!" Target player must offer one full stack of a resource. (Wood, Stone, Sand, Gas etc.)
    10. "Pipes Only." Target player can only defend their Horde Base using Pipe weapons.
    11. "Build it for me." Target player has to use their skills to build you an item. You still have to provide the materials.

Yes, The Fun Pimps have a program where content creators can apply to get in and play the game early.
I think it's like... 2-ish months before it's due to go out to everyone, and you get a weekend to make content on it. So it's really only for streaming, but it's there.
Also have a look at the twitch stuff for card ideas. No Melee/No Ranged/No DP/etc is built into the game. It'd be pretty easy to whip up a mod for you folks to have them apply until X time. :)

Perhaps have a separate deck of Day cards, and every day each competitor draws a day card to modify what each is allowed to do to prepare that day. Then keep their hands of night cards so they can play them against each other at night. That way daytime prep involves luck, while the horde nights involve actual strategy.

This is exactly what I was thinking, make them mostly debuff cards, like melee only, no armor allowed, speak in only rhymes 😂. And maybe put a rare buff card, like every other player has to give you ten 9mm, which Appsro will pull, probably. Then night cards which are in their hand to be played physically. Everyone only gets 7 and the goal is to kill everyone else by day 7 and be the last one standing.

    • @FatherCorasante
      @FatherCorasante Před měsícem +2

@@ertyert. I was also thinking of daytime debuffs like no chopping down trees. Poor Simon wouldn't be able to make all his spikes 😆. I did like their idea for cards like "no visiting a trader". Could also have one that says "no taking any jobs" so they could still trade, but they can't go do jobs for good rewards that day.

    • @kodiakjak1
      @kodiakjak1 Před měsícem +2

I like the idea of separate day and night cards. I think all the day cards should be negative and they can choose to play them on each other or themselves for a reward. Like neebs draws no cutting wood for the day, but decides to play it on himself and earns 100 rounds of ammo or something.

Some card ideas I hope you like Locked out- one of your neighbours forgot their keys (they can't use any of their locked doors or boxes).
Alcoholism-you can only drink alcohol today.
Gift giver-you feel compelled to give your neighbours something on your tool belt.
Cook out- everyone must bring some food for your weekly BBQ (from 12-2).
Barrow some sugar-you get to ask all your neighbours for some supplies and they HAVE to accommodate If they have it (max of 1 item per request, no repeat request).
House party- you have invited the whole neighborhood to your house party tonight. (Everyone MUST attend).
Left the stove on- you forgot you left your stove on (you are excused from any group events today).
Spring cleaning- you and all your neighbours must spend their day cleaning up the yard and house.
Coffee run- you and 1 random neighbour must go together in search of coffee. (Cannot return until both have found coffee).
Like a good neighbour-you have been a very helpful neighbour now it's time to collect that good karma ( anyone you have helped this week must help you with ANY 1 task).
H.o.a- you get to inspect all of your neighbours homes and look for unsafe house designs. ( Pick 1 unsafe design within the homes, the unsafe addition must be removed).
Property violation- you noticed your neighbour building over the fence line. (They must pay a 2000 dukes token fine, or equivalent priced item/items).

Some amazing ideas here. Lots of diversity both in concept and intensity. It would be cool if some core big ones (like the base switch they mention) were in a different tier as the fun little ones (like Cook Out). The big ones being more common and consistent, whereas the little ones there's a ton of variety with only 1 copy of each and they're just for a bit of spice

In addition to the cards, I'd love to see something more unpredictable. "Horde night every night," you know when it's coming! Be it every night or every 7 days, you know when it's coming. But imagine 7D2D when - like real life - it's random. You have no clue when it's coming. As typical on horde nights, right before the horde the sky turns red. Imagine that being your only indicator for when horde night occurs. Set it to random nights.
Imagine being day 3 and you are out doing a job for Jen. It's getting late and you are 1.5 KM from home. You step out of the POI and the sky is red. Are you getting caught outside during the horde or can you make it back home in time?

'Helper for a day' card. You play it on another player and for that day (not night) they can't do any of their own work and have to help you out with whatever you want. If they die, the death doesn't count but you get to decide what they should do. e.g rebuild my base, go collect stone or wood all day, craft me something, annoy Dora all day and follow him round, etc. etc.

Here are a few ideas - 1. Survivor Series - each player plays solo and has 7 days to gather/build a defense base/hideout. Then on Horde night, have the other 3 players spawn zombies until death of the solo player. Have the spawn zombies be decided before the match and on a set time, for instance Simon spawns vultures every minute and the next spawns their picked zombies every minute and a half. Take turns being the solo player and the player who lasts longer, wins! 2. The Heist - Start from level 1, go and gather a million or less old cash, build a gyrocopter and fly out. 3. The Floor is Lava - You can't touch the outside ground! You will need vehicles or build bridges from building to building. Inside buildings will be safe including able only to mine underneath straight down. Or do the opposite, call it Mole Town - only tunnel to each building and have your base underground.

just an idea for the next run... "rotate the bases each night" so each player goes through the bases of the others and each player has to deal with the "left overs" from the previous owner and decide on how safe to make it for themselves and not leave it too OP for the next owner... this helps to balance and adds uncertainty, also prevents from having hordes always attacking the same player more than the others. :)

Idk if yall will see this but, you could have two decks of cards. One for daytime and one for nighttime. On the first day, you get dealt one card from each deck which starts you off with 2 cards. Each card has varying degrees of helpfulness. Some will be beneficial, some will be detrimental to yourself or another player.
For example, the card could say: "You can't use firearms at night" or "Make another player not be able to use firearms at night"
Every time you play a card, you are then dealt another card the following day. If you don't play the card, you don't get another.
So if you have a card that says: "You can't use firearms at night",
You might not want to play it, but you won't get dealt another nightime card unless you do. So the choice you have to make is, should I hold onto this card or use it and try to survive without firearms in hopes that I get a better card tomorrow.

How to do a deck of curses: Take a cue from Jet Lag: The Game, who have run several seasons refining this concept.
There are many variants, but the most used one is you somehow earn cards from a limited tableau (each card has different costs), which are a potential buff to yourself or debuff to others. The tableau does not change until you use a card or the next day when it gets re-filled.

  • @Altitube
    @Altitube Před měsícem +28

This is a sample of my card list to help inspire dora when he creates them :
U Gotta Work b***= When this card is played against you, you have to complete a level 5 or 6 job or die trying.
If this card is played against you at night, you have to do it the next day unless the person who gave you the card is eliminated.
This card would be great against high level player like appsro to ruined their productive day :).
Also you cannot die on purpose you really have to try.
Total Relocation= Trow a dice and Everybody switch house in a clockwise direction using the number on the dice for the number of rotation. (Only last a day)
By example if we take the previous serie and let say the dice hit a 2, Simon would have to skip neebs house and go to dora house, dora would skip appsro house and move to simon house, appsro to neebs, neebs to appsro.
Also this card can be a total bust if you hit the number 4 and there is only 4 players that just put everybody back in their original house anyway which would be hilarious.
No Spikes Tonight= When this card is use against a player, he cannot use spikes to defend himself during the horde night and have to remove all the spikes that was already put down before.(Only last a day)
There should be every variable of this card for every trap, mine, dart trap, electric fences, blade trap etc...
The right to boom= When this card is activated the player using it can shoot a bomb guy who is targeting someone else(the player have to declare the card activation and of course no retaliation without a card is allowed).
Give me a break= When this card is activated the player using it can spend the horde night in a highly secure horde night base made by the server admin. (Only last a day)
    Very useful to replenish resources.
Player Resurrection= Can bring back a fully dead player(also known as a Loser) in the competition with only 1 life left.
You Help each other all the time= When this card is used, the player using it can bring back a Loser of his choice to have back up support for a single horde night.(Only last a day) .

I think another cool concept could be boots on the ground, whatever base you create must follow one simple rule. You must be holding out on ground level.
The idea is to make it much harder as the zombie AI is easy to mess with when verticality is involved. So in the spirit of the challenge Moats would be banned

    • @urazz7739
      @urazz7739 Před měsícem

Big thing is that the verticality plan essentially worked against Dora and Neebs. For Appsro, it worked to his advantage because for some reason the zombies thought the easiest way to get to him was through his house (on top of not getting as many zombies as the others of course.).

I think rotating bases each night as a standard rule would be would be a fun crazy strategy to have. Then maybe have cards that change direction or rotates a second time or force a random person to swap another random person just before night time. It would force people to walk a line of do I build up for my defense or stay weak and force then next guy to spend his time to build up. Also it would balance out skill levels.
Another idea is build day. Move everyone to a new location. The only building resources you can use is spawned in and placed in chests. The amounts are equal for each person. The better the build the longer you last. Next day the game is action packed missions and scavenging for weapons ammo armor food. How well you did the day before will carry to the next day but now the zombies you kill missions you complete and items you sell rewards you with currency equal to the difficulty of the task. You then buy building supplies from a merchant with unlimited qualities for everyone to go broke on trying to make a better defence. Turns the game into the best defense is a good offense.
🤷‍♂️ Whatever you guys do I'm watching it. Thanks for the great videos.

You guys need a card that summons a ghillie’d up bow hunter that hunts whoever rolled that random card throughout the day ending a few hours before horde.
Recurve bow with basic stone arrows, not a lot of damage but all of the annoyance and if they manage to catch you slipping and kill you the death doesn’t count but they can pick an item to steal to inconvenience you like half your ammo or some of your money and as the days go by any loot they have stolen stays with them and if you manage to find and kill them at some point you get all the loot they have gathered.
The hunter won’t be always present and only available after the card is drawn. The hunter can also contain a reasonable amount of meat and hide for whoever is lucky enough to hunt the hunter.

The board/card game design enthusiast in me is *screaming* right now. In a good way. :D
My biggest suggestion when it comes to a project that involves building a game or gamifying something is to brainstorm the everloving crap out of it. Write down ever idea no matter how dumb it seems, because I cannot count the times when something sounded incredibly stupid, but then realized that the idea could be combined with another idea into something awesome.
The second biggest thing is to include what you are trying to accomplish with the game when you're brainstorming. For example, are you trying to make things more random and chaotic? Are you looking to keep things as "fair" as possible? And so on.
My personal suggestions would be to:
    - Give each player two identical decks of 7 cards, one for day, and one for night. Once all cards are used then the player can refill their hand. This allows for a *LOT* of strategic thinking. If you know what cards people have, and what they've used, you can attempt to play your own card using that information. The Game of Thrones board game uses a similar mechanic, and it's pretty effective at pushing heavy strategy.
    - When playing cards, have each player choose their day and night cards at the beginning of the day, maybe during the "interview". It'd give you something extra to talk about during the interview. But I would also suggest that the day cards not be revealed to everyone until all interviews are over, and night cards not be revealed until later in the day so you have less time to plan for the nighttime cards you've been hit with. If you would prefer to have the cards revealed as they are played, I would suggest that you do so in order of gamestage or level, highest to lowest, which gives a slight advantage to those who aren't in the lead.
    - Make references to previous games with the cards. That would be damn entertaining.
    - Consider include a card that is a "negates all cards played this day or horde" When you play that becomes a HUGE strategic plan, especially if you can try to time it so that it matches up with something that you really, really don't want happening.
    - Consider how you want cards to hurt other players - should it go against a specific person, the person with the highest gamestage/level, all other players, or all players including yourself.
    - Consider cards that give you items. A card that grants you a pile of concrete or steel would be super powerful, especially in the early game.
I'm sure I could think of more, but that's all that comes to mind off the top of my head.

I know this is a week old, but a good idea would have Day and Night cards like you suggested, but have it work that there are two potential effects. You can either use it to affect another player or use it on yourself, which gives a benefit along with the detriment. For example a Day card could be: "When played, the targeted player loses the ability to use any vehicles until the next day, but all other players must give the target player an "X" amount of some useful resource." An example for a Night card could be: "When played, the first targeted player must switch their base with another player, that player being chosen by the player of this card, but if the targeted player who was forced to switch bases dies during the horde night, it does not count towards their overall deaths." These two cards could be used offensively and defensively, for example the Day card could be used by a player who doesn't have access to a vehicle yet, but needs food or used hinder a player who already has a bike, gyro-copter, etc and force them to have to walk around at the cost of giving up food. Same with the Night card could be used if the user doesn't have a great base, so they switch with a player who does, at the cost of the other player not being penalized if they die or used to cause the first target, who has a good base to be switched with someone who doesn't to cause them to die and the person who got switched would be protected from dying during that horde night, just incase it were to happen. Also only one card of each type, one day and one night, can be played at the beginning of each day. This is just an idea, but if you guys wanted some more ideas for this, I'd be glad to help.

  • @firecat3613
    @firecat3613 Před měsícem +1

Have the cards weighted... Dora said, "something like Uno." Well, add in the card game, "War," with a, "Go fish," twist. Deal your 6-8 cards from a standard deck of cards. (Note: 6 cards would = 3 day plays and 3 night plays. Then again, you could go 7 cards with one being a throw away card.) You and only you know your cards. Each person plays a single card - face down. The remaining cards are played at a later time... the next time "consequences are on the line." When the face down cards are set, flip them over... this takes the, "I went first or you went last to play advantage," out of it. The person with the highest card wins and orders a given player to draw a card from the, "consequence deck." In the case of a tie, you draw a card from the undealt pile until a clear victor is determined.
Additionally, the lowest card automatically draws from the consequence deck. In the event of a tie, BOTH players face consequences! This means some people will be without consequence and some will. It could even be possible to nail the same person twice in the same round... Then again, you may not want to do that, as payback can be a _______.
After a couple days, all 6 -8 of your cards have been played. Shuffle and re-deal for the next few days.
Logic does come into play. Let's say you have a 3 (your lowest card) and a K (your highest card) and another player throws a Q. You can beat the Q with your K, but instead you threw the 3. Why? Because it's early and you want to face consequence now and save your K until you may feel a consequence would hurt you more. Then again, you may want all the advantage you can get as early as possible.
As for the, "consequence cards," although none of them are any good, as with a Monopoly chance card, you may be forced to "go to your base, go directly to your base and do not leave until morning." Another card may say, "Collect an item of your choice from any player." And another may say, "Swap bases,' wherein you chose - or - a twist that allows the Winner to chose swap bases. And who says I must swap my base? Could I not chose 2 other people to swap bases? So, just because you won the WAR, does not mean you are 100% without consequence... There are a few - although rare - consequence cards that could come back to bite you. Keep in mind, although most consequence cards are not good, having the rare good one does work into strategy too. Consider: 4 days have gone by. There have been 8 card draws and not one of them has been good. Something good is due. Maybe it is time to throw that K and pray no one throws an A?

My wife and I’s idea: 2 wheels of modifiers are spun at the beginning of each day by Jack. 1 is a day modifier, the other is a night modifier. This would simplify it and make it fair for everyone and you could prepare for the night modifier. 1 life for all players. If someone dies, the difficulty setting goes up 1 level, game starts at Nomad(normal). The amount of max zombies per player can go up by 4 every night. Player’s starter house/claim blocks must be oriented perfectly North South East West so no one gets to be in-between others bases. Players can’t leave there claim block boundaries during night. Dead players can continue to level up to increase game stage and sell things to alive players but need to be invisible during night.

I love the idea of the cards, and a way you could balance it is have 7 cards each, and each card has a day and night effect. It would force you to choose which effect you wanted to use it for. A card would have day effect like "Must take highest tier mission possible" and night effect "Random player can't use medical items" forcing someone to choose if they want to use it day or night. You could also roll the order for you to use the day cards, and just reverse the order for night, rerolling each day. That would balance to who is first/last too.

Each morning everyone privately plays one card, then as a group you have to move to a new town until you've gone through all the bioms. The goal is to survive a each night at a new location until all bioms and traders have been visited. You can only take what you can carry, so building vehicles early will be a big advantage. Everyone moves to a new location together but are responsible for having their own bases. (The cards for switching bases starts to look real good at this point haha)

    I got some ideas
Weapon Swap: You may swap your currently unsheathed weapon for another weapon you see someone has unsheathed.
Baggage Claim: Claim all of another specific persons bag at the end of a horde night. They can still claim them before the sun comes up though.
Hunter: You may kill another player once without reprisal. However they can still defend themselves from you and if you die in that fight then the cards lost regardless.
Drunken Madman: One of your opponents chest is replaced with an equal amount of cheap liquor for every item inside.
Renegade: You may flee from the main zone during horde night, whether it be wise or not.
Lightfoot: If you die from a landmine it doesnt count, can be traded for a landmine.
Maneater: You must consume uncooked flesh from a zombie, anyone in ten meters must aswell. Requires a dead zombie.
Unlikely Allies: You may help a specific ally as much as you please, for one night. This includes with long term gifts. You are not obligated to help if you use this card however.
Divide and Fall: You receive a random gun of the same quality as your best melee weapon. Someone else randomly recieves the 200 ammo for that gun however.
Shamway all the Way: A crate of 100 sham sandwiches is given to Simon.
Bad Economics: You must spend all your tokens at a trader, must be declared before you see their stock. If you have any left over you must drop them on the ground and leave them.
Safety Last: You must either complete a job without using healing items or run away. If you heal youll have to try another instance to be rid of this card.
Good Idea: Gain 5 skill points.
Bad Idea: Give someone else 5 skill points
Terrible Idea: Build someone else a work bench, if they have a work bench give all your forged steel.

Naked and Proud: You may not wear any clothes during the hordenight
Signage: You may build a sign in front of anyones home, if the sign is destroyed spawn level is increased by 50% for the night. If spawn cap is at max, 5 bomb guys spawn near that persons house. The sign design must fit HoA configerations. Majority rules ofcourse.

I think one way you could randomize it would be to just have each cast member roll a d20 for a effect for the day. You could post your list of what the possible things are and in their morning intro they have to roll a dice. You could even use the google dice roller so people can see it live. Additionally, you could also make it a mission roller. Roll a d20 for a task that each member has to complete by the end of the day. If they fail the task then assign a penalty during horde night. Penalty could be unable to use the weapons you spec into, melee only, jack spawns in a couple of demos, or zombie dogs or a screamer in your base at the end of the horde. Or you have to eat 10 sham sandwiches before the horde. On the offside of it, each player could have a rewards box in their hordebase. If they complete their task then a reward could be spawned in, determined by the task completed.

Here's a suggestion. This will involve a deck of cards or any other random generator technique.
Only game setting that matters is no zombies. Difficulty can be altered to taste. All needs (agreed upon or random such as food, weapons, tools, etc) is spawned in and provided for each player. Then with an agreed upon material/time limit, everyone builds their own horde base.
For horde night, the players gets whatever weapons they want/ agreed upon weapon set, etc. and all the ammo they need or make that random. One player has horde night while the other players draw a card and spawn the associated number of zombies. A-K=1-13, suit=tier of zombie or random generator app for number of zombies and what tier of zombie. The player fights the horde.
Live through the horde? Survivor gets 1 healing item (bandages or first aid kit) to use at their discretion.
Then next person's turn to have horde night while the others draw cards and spawn the zombies. Rinse and repeat.
The idea is for the other players to create the horde night for the one person. Everything is provided for the players with the exception of healing items like bandages. Food and drink are acceptable.
    Something like that.

Suggestion - for increased difficulty, restricting weapons to a skill branch. Everyone picks a skill branch and can only use weapons from that branch. E.g. Perception can only use rifles/spears/explosives. Points can be put into other branches, but weapons from those branches cannot be used.
If you don’t pick Intellect you can use junk turrets or traps. Debatable if spikes count as traps.

Some sorts of "Points" system could be used to play cards, or alter things.
Spend points to alter order of play, spend points to play card as reaction instead of your action, spend points to play card on someone else instead of yourself.
"Points" could also be a combination of in game items spent, meaning how well they play could effect their ability to play cards. Eg, playing cards is always free, but improving them with points has a cost (so people struggling can still play cards but people doing well could further manipulate the card play with "out of sequence, reacts / play on other" etc).
This could also bring in the element of splooging all cards vs the usual one in turn (so both are possible)

Idea's for cards-1: power outage, you pick who gets hit by it, clearly Appsro is ne the only one with power.
    2- swarm o birds
3- you can choose when the hoard happens, morning, noon, evening
4- randomly pick someone to give you all of one type of ammo
5- drunk card, choose someone to get wasted either in or out of game lol

    Sounds a lot like the card game "Ript Revenge" for disc golf. And, to take some things from that game, I'd say;
Have a few cards that nullify any card that is played against you (both cards get discarded thou). These are really good and you want to save them.
Have a couple of cards that lets you discard all your cards, but draw the same amount of new cards.
Have a couple of cards that lets you switch your deck with a player of your chosing.
Have a few cards that either give you a bonus, or a punishment, if held in your deck when the game is finished (or maybe like every 7 days in game for example).

I would say 3 separate decks of cards. One deck is a buff, one is a debuff on a player of choice and one that's a modifier card for the horde night.
The buff and debuff decks every player draws a card randomly at the beginning of every episode.
Buffs could be gain a lvl or 5 that are permently or gain another weapon 1 tier higher than what you have.
Debuffs can either be permenat or last an episode. Like make a player lose a lvl or 5 permently. Maybe even have a targeted loss of skill point. Example like go from pummel Pete lvl 5 to 4. Debuffs that last just an episode could be a random injury all day. No healing besides bandages to stop bleeding out for the day.
The modifier decks would effect just horde night and be shared for everyone. They would be like switch bases they already mentioned but everyone switches for the night. Another modifier could be "bird invasion!" where it's mostly vultures that horde. Another one could be explosives only where they can only use grenades. Maybe give players a big but limited supply. Another modifier would be no repairing all night or no certain ammo can be used.

Depending on how many ideas you come up with use a D&D dice and roll for a random number. You can have all good and bad effects on one dice or two separate dice that you have to roll both.

Each player starts with 5 cards. You can only use 1 card per day/night cycle. You get a new hand once you've used all your cards. You cannot "lure" zombies in to another players base, however while occupying another players base, you can choose to fight or not fight the zombies in whatever manner you decide. An example of unfair luring would be if during horde night you intentionally leave all the doors open. While occupying another players base, you, the occupying player cannot add or remove features without the original players approval.

What I found the most difficult of the series was the constant questing with the traders. It was the same thing every day, just questing, buying supplies and going home.
I’d like to see a HNEN where you’re all either a whole team or separate, but there’a no traders, so no quests or shopping. You have to scavenge everything, and slowly you’re forced to go further and further for supplies. Also forces y’all to play strategically in terms of farming, etc. I think this would work best as a team based since it’d be difficult, but I like to watch when y’all work together rather than against each other.

A bunch of dice of each player color, that will be used for basic decision like the biome in which you'll play, team or pvp, blood mood recurrence etc. Why not mix some dices for some effect of surprise and direction, while using cards for an aspect more tactical once in game?

I'd love to see "mission cards" where you do a difficult task to win the chance to nullify a card or play a second card. Missions can be like "do a tier 3 or higher mission with no guns or armor."

Love the card idea. Im kind with Neebs about too cardy. What if you choose your card that affects the horde in the morning, giving you the day to prepare for it? Whether it’s a certain ammo type, or melee only. Another idea about the cards. What if when dealt, you get to see what you have, but then they get flipped over until you run out so you’re picking at random from your hand?

Each get fourteen cards, 7 for day time, 7 for nights, cards are designed to be used as like attack/defense style against each other.
Each player has a set amount of hours during each full day and night cycle to choose the card they wish to play. This will give much room for a variety of many outcomes per each episode, specially if you make like special cards that have 3 copies and regular attack/defense cards with 2 copies for each player, this will give like a Tower defense card battle game feel to the competition.

Someone said something I agree with, Jack draws 1+ (decided beforehand) worth of 'day cards' that effect everyone, while *Night Cards* are player based. Examples include:
Unemployed: cannot accept jobs from the trader today
Trader Holiday: No trader use at all.
Going loud: Can only kill Zombies with Firearms
Secret Santa: Everyone gives another player something useful/good (can set some minimums, idk full details here)
Hoofing it: No vehicles for the day.
Designated Driver: roll a d4 (or other RNG) that player has to drive the other players around (spawn in a 4x4 or something) for the day.
Wandering Horde: Everyone returns to the neighborhood and Jack spawns X zombies for them to deal with (idk like 2-4 per player per day so day 4 would be like 48 zombies or something).
Dynamite mishap: RNG a player hit their base Jack chucks 2-4 dynamite at the base. (or something like that)
Level up: Each player puts a single leveled item in a chest then Jack replaces it with a +1 level version (6s upgrade to next tier)
Level Down: as above but in reverse, however it must be an item on their belt/equipped as armor. (lvl 1s get downgraded a tier, or removed if pipe quality/lowest armor tiers).
A few player cards: Pummel Pete Lvl 4: target player must use melee only during the horde.
Power Outage: target (or all) player(s) can not use electricity this horde night.
Musical Bases: everyone rotates X bases clockwise... for the night? Idk, I honestly think that a permanent random switch isn't the worst idea.
Mi Casa Es Su Casa (or reverse to Su Casa Es Mi Casa): Target player spends the night surviving with you at your base (reverse would be you can spend the night at someone else's base... defending only as you might want/need to stay alive).
You Owe Me: take 1 life from another player, can be used to stop elimination but cannot be used to eliminate another player.
I need a vacation: Player my turn off Zombie detection for 1 horde night.
High Noon: Choose 2 players they have a shoot out (yes this can kill both, yes you can choose yourself).
The Castle: Have an 'admin' made base all players must defend it this horde night (great oh shit button while on low life or if you have a high number of lives you could sabotage everyone...).

I miss that and it's what made your first season so epic.

What if one card was to have an opponent be forced to assist you, while you don't assist them in return. So it's not a "team" card but rather a "forced support" card lol.
Like if Simon had the card to pull and right as the sky goes red, he calls out that he's using the "forced support" card on Appsro and Appsro would have to assist with killing hordes that were attacking Simons place as well as his own base at the same time. Giving Simon extra support while simultaneously draining the ammunition of Appsro.
(Anyone could end up with the "forced support" card, not just Simon by the way.)

ok, this is going to be a lot, but how about something like this:
theres 4 types of cards, handicap, advantage, gamble and alpha.
2 or more cards are drawn from each type every morning, you must suffer a handicap all day, your advantage starts x hours before horde night starts, and gambles can be used anytime against any player. you can have a maximum of 7 cards at any time. you must have at least one of the 3 major types. the alpha card is one card and can mimic any other card no matter type and can be used on yourself or against another player. if the alpha card is used as a handicap, it discards into the handicap deck, if its used as a gamble it discards into the gamble deck etc.
handicaps disadvantages such as caps on resource gathering, types of ammo that can be used, no lights etc.
advantages are things like block damage reductions, additional ammo free items from trader or varying base upgrades.
gamble cards are swap cards. you can swap complete personal inventories, storage boxes, craft bench inventories etc.

    IDEAS:
Uno Reverso - Play this card on another player, then reshuffle into the deck. Whatever card was last played before this one now affects the one who played it.
Night Runner - Play this card on another player, then reshuffle into the deck. They must survive the night without their base, but may use POIs that haven't been modified.
Bounty - Play this card on another player, then reshuffle into the deck. Other players my now target this player during the night, but they can also target other players.
Loot Dump - Play this card on another player, then reshuffle into the deck. The player must discard all items from their backpack for the night.
Belt Dump - Play this card on another player, then reshuffle into the deck. The player must discard all items from their belt for the night.
Double Dog Dare - Play this card on another player, then reshuffle into the deck. The player must complete an absurd but possible task the dealer names before the end of the night, or play 3 cards on themselves next night.
Let's Ride! - Play this card on another player, then reshuffle into the deck. The player must spend the night in a vehicle.
Sleep over - Play this card on another player, then reshuffle into the deck. The player must come to the dealers house 1 hour after night starts.
Amish - Play this card on another player, then reshuffle into the deck. The player cannot use automated defenses for the night.
Hero - Play this card on another player, then reshuffle into the deck. The player must keep the dealer safe, and takes the dealers loss as their own while having no penalty for their own loss that night.
Medic! - Play this card on another player, then reshuffle into the deck. The player cannot use heals for the rest of the night.

I got the perfect idea for a 7 days saga !!! Since Appsro whooped all your booties ( woot woot Appsro ) You can have Neebs , Dora and Simon get into the game 7 days before Appsro and can cheat in as many supplies , guns , armor , building materials and vehicles then build a massive fortress . Make horde night every night and max zombies , max block damage after the 7 days Appsro gets to spawn in and he has to Madmax his way into the fortress but only during nights he can attack the base . Inside the center of the base is a massive supply of Guzzline . Appsro has to level himself up during the days until he is powerful enough to take over the fortress !!!!! All the while Neebs , Dora and Simon can be on the hunt . The fortress has to be massive enough to make it hard to maintain amongst the three .

Make one of the day time cards like you have to do a top tier mission from the trader or you can’t use guns for 24 hours. How about no vehicles for a day. Or no treasure hunts or loot drops can be picked up till these ones are gone. How about a reversal card where you can turn the card around on the person using it on you. You could even make it you can’t use guns or melee weapons for 24 hours. There are just so many possibilities.

Jack draws one card each day. That's the global modifier. Everyone gets a hand of 7 random cards to use at night or day (to help themselves, screw eachother over, help others even?). You only get to play one per day-night cycle. No new cards until all 7 are used. (or draw a new one every day though I prefer the no drawing until all are used.) Another way would be: you can't draw new cards until everyone has used all cards but that's a bit convoluted. That's how I would do it. As for the order you get to use cards: roll a die. Highest decides to go first or last. Everyone else goes in order. (Gives another possible benefit for the person with the highest roll). I would also not build so close to eachother but still use a square-layout.
    Card ideas:
    - Daycards (for Jack): no traders, no placing spikes, wandering hordes every hour, sleepyhead (day starts at noon because everyone slept in), marauders (everyone loses one box at random), EMP-storm (no electricity used at night, aka no generators, no electricity based traps), ...
    - Playercards: swap bases with someone, no guns (one for yourself and one card to use on another), gain x amount of wood (or cobblestone or whatever material. Amounts vary depending on the material. Different cards for each), "Treasurehunter" (you came upon a hidden stash of a now dead survivor. Gain food, guns, ammo, materials, meds or a combination), "Bad luck, muchacho" (you tripped and broke a leg. Also a version to use on someone else)
I could think of more but this is already a wall of text :)

Glock did a "ramblin Man" series where he couldn't stay in the same house each night with a horde every night. Maybe you grab a quest each night and that is the place you have to do your horde in. Makes higher tier quests more desirable (even though they are dangerous quests) since the buildings might be stronger. GNS is doing a spinning wheel of zombie difficulty/speed/headshot only, etc that changes every day which is a neat idea.

Spin wheels to change the environment of the world too? For example how many zombies, how strong, etc.
Maybe a phone a friend card that you can bring in an outsider to help you gather materials throughout the day but not help at night or something.
Can't wait to see what you guys do!
