    pastor Hoppe,
in hades, are the souls sleeping or awake? is there fire or any sort of suffering?

The dead "sleep" and remain in the grave until the resurrection. There is no "waiting area" and the dead do not go to Heaven or Hell at death. We sleep in the grave until the resurrection at Christ's return. The righteous are resurrected to eternal life and the wicked are resurrected to complete destruction (i.e. cease to exist as there is no eternal torment for humans).

    "Hades and Hell"
Hades and Hell are separated, simple idea, Hades is waiting area of doe's people Death waiting for salvation.
Hell is the place of the punishment for Doe's people death not save.

@@TheScriptureTruth how will people who never heard the Gospwlr be judged ?

@@thestream1 Thank you for bringing me back to this video so I can correct my comment. The Lord has corrected me on my understanding of the topic of Hell (Sheol, Hades, Tartaros, and Gehenna).
As for your question... my understanding is that God has revealed Himself and the means to Salvation from Creation and it has always been about faith and obedience. Before Christ, people followed God while looking forward to Christ, and those born after look back on His completed work on the cross.
Adam and Eve knew how to follow God, as did Noah and Abraham long before there was an Israel. People have always had God in their heart's and there has always been ways that God provided for all to know Him. People will be judged by the light of knowledge that they had. Today we have the full knowledge of Christ and the plan of Salvation. That is both a great blessing and a great burden. We have the joy and benefit of knowing, yet the burden of acting accordingly and following Christ. Those before Christ had less of a full understanding, so the light they will be judged by is less.
Christ is The Way, the Truth, and The Life for all that have heard the Gospel. For those before Christ, God was always there and always provided a way to know Him.
