I went on this ride countless times with family and friends. It was the most intense rollercoaster I've ever been on, I ended up with a headache and bruises everytime but I wouldn't change it for the World. I will miss it. Thank you for making this video.

A completely unique roller coaster which followed the shape of the landscape and once held the record for longest roller coaster in the world, still held the European record. Sad times Brighton Pier Group are running the place into the ground
I live 4 miles away from LWV. Prime site housing development land. I believe they’re trying to make LWV unsustainable before submitting planning applications. Could be worth £200 million for the land…

The Ultimate was an amazing ride. Lightwater Valley are making a big mistake closing the thrill rides and catering only for young children. Have they not learned from Camelot and American Adventure.
The park deserve to go under. They are absolutely disgraceful! Removing this and leaving it like that, well. If they work out great! But if not I have no sympathy.
It goes to show what sort of a park it is now they would rather spend the money getting rides removed and demolished than see them repaired/maintained in operation for many years in future for younger generations to enjoy

I can’t believe they have took it away I will miss this. This roller coaster 🎢 was my number 1 favourite in the world I will miss it 😢😢❤

I bet Robert Staveley is furious they've pulled down his coaster. Shame his daughter Amanda couldn't help save it. She saved Newcastle United.

I went on that rollercoaster it was fantastic shame it does need a lot of TLC sad to here the park has closed down.

Unfortunately not, it looks like someones removed that a while ago. Maybe a staff member took it as a souvenir when the ride closed down.

Built by British rail, notice the wooden track sleepers. Some of which were reused from the railway.
Yup, most of the layout is wooden sleepers. Some of them bounce up and down in the ground! :D

i agree! LWV has done a devastating decision, It deserves to go under because what they did is unforgivable... The park should be abandoned and rot
Hopefully LWV will replace ultimate with a new version (New track and cars etc)
This is awful to look at, this amazing rollercoster just left to rot! I had one of the best memories on that rollercoster
