What you said starting at 15:08 is so true. My therapist said people can adapt to people or who are not to far from them. He told me this when I left an abusive relationship that lasted for few months (less than 5 months) after he became abusive after being best friends for 10 plus years. And I couldn’t adapt at all cause it was too toxic and I thought I was crazy because he cheated on me with an ex who stayed with him when I was with him and I couldn’t understand how she couldn’t stay with him. Let me tell you. When she spoke to me , it was like a female version of him. She was just like him so his toxicity was nothing for her.
Yes that's genuinely true @princesslamour4659 we usually accept what we are so when you see two folks together ( wether they are friends or in a relationship) they have more together then they think. Also i am genuinely sorry that you went trough that, sorry that you have to endure an abusive relationship 😞 i am glad you didn't spend years in to though even though even 5 days it's too much to endure abuse talkless of 5 months 😢 hope the therapy is helping and that you are healing from that and everything else i know that you had to endure as a child with your narcissistic mother.
