The problem is not with Gradingsystem or name change. Before few decade, passing grade 8 was also a big deal, which is insignificant now. It is all because more people have access to better education, and landmark has risen. Grade 10 is not very big deal as compared to past.
SLC or SEE both is important but also scam because even that time teachers said this is life changing but average marks was enough like more than 75 percent but 11 12 was and still way more vast , important. Our teacher used to tell us that once you pass 10th life yours and after coming in 11 12th. Just lie and one more thing 3.6 isn't a plus it is just borderline you have to just score 3.61 for aplus

No disrespect to the creator but the video felt fairly disingenuous, almost felt like the video was trying to correlate the amount of stress an exam causes is directly proportional to how good it is, just look at the list of countries with some of the best education in the world a lot of Scandinavian countries will top the list which do not have stressful exams like the SLC, it does nothing but demotivate the student and make them feel burned out.
And why are we acting like cheating to pass board exams only came to be, since the SEE it’s been going on for years and years it nothing new and the very fact that students and even schools feel the need to make students cheat to pass or do good in the exam shows still the amount of importance the exam holds otherwise people would not be even cheating if passing and failing didn’t mean anything
Lastly examinations are important but shouldn’t be the only metric to judge a student by and it definetky should not dictate one’s future at such an early age students who are giving the SEE barely know what they want to do or achive and breaking them down at such an early stage will do no help to them. The current model of SEE also requires changes but is better then an exam whose main function is to stress out students
