    Love the video, and will be doing this upgrade to my pack. You could passed the smallest connection through a smaller hole rather than making a large hole for the USB end. Keep up the good work.

    So, what I did, using the same talent cell, was to take the wall in the "snack compartment" and trim off from top of the upper screw hole and up, and then use double sided tape to tape the talentcell to the wall separating the electronics board from the rest of the pack. I did have to to trim off the top of the battery compartment, but kept the rim with the the gasket. From the outside of my pack you would never know I'm running a talentcell, but I can access it from the "snack compartment" door. I have both the talent cell, and a JBL Go2 speaker in my "snack compartment"

    Hi! I think we met at Scum & Villainy, after the AfterLife premiere. :)
    I literally coiled up my HasLab battery wire neatly, and taped it to the back of the battery try. Done, out of the way and 100% reversible. :) (Because that will matter once I install my Redman motherboard... LOL)

    • @PaladinChristof
      @PaladinChristof Před 4 měsíci +1

      Haha, yeah Greg has a Redman on order as well so we weren't toooooooo worried about being nice to the stock motherboard, not to mention I wanted to show folks just how easy it is to place a hole where you want it on the HasLab.

    Great video. However, I wondered if you'd had the same issue I have. The 4 batteries provide 6V whereas the powercell is 5V. I find that the powercell can power the pack no problem, but if I have the wand attached, if I try to turn it on, it powers down (much like when the batteries are going flat). It seems it needs the extra 1V for the wand. How do you get by that?

    • @PaladinChristof
      @PaladinChristof Před 4 měsíci

      We did some extensive off-screen testing and the TaltentCell's 5v line seems to provide enough power for Greg's Pack and Wand? What kind of battery cell are you using?

    • @charlesrross
      @charlesrross Před 4 měsíci +1

      @@PaladinChristof Same - TalentCell 5v. It seems like some are hit and miss - some people have no issues, but I know a fair few who have the same problem

    • @PaladinChristof
      @PaladinChristof Před 4 měsíci

      @@charlesrross Ooooooh, huh. Have you hooked your battery up to a multimeter? I have always had really good experience with TalentCells pushing the correct voltage, but if it's not, it's not. I'll be sure to bring this up to our in-house Electrical Engineer Scott and see if we can produce some protips on making the Talent Cell more reliable!

    • @Gregors85
      @Gregors85  Před 4 měsíci

      The wand is finicky even with batteries, I think it's the hose connector that is causing issues. We plan on replacing that as well. I've met people at conventions and they've had issues turning the pack on/off or getting the wand to have power with the stock connector.

    Just curious wouldn't it have been easier to make a small hole so that the smaller bit could have gone through and leave the usb connector out

    • @Gregors85
      @Gregors85  Před 3 měsíci

      If you ever needed to remove the USB you would have had to reach in and disconnect it from the board itself.

    Why Make those huge holes when you could just drill a hole and fished the wire through?

    • @Gregors85
      @Gregors85  Před 3 měsíci

      Much easier to remove the back panel by pulling the USB through a hole then having to reach through and disconnect it from the board itself.

    Can you use any type of power bank for the pack or does it have to be a talentcell

    • @Gregors85
      @Gregors85  Před 3 měsíci

      You can't use any type. You risk shorting the board out if you use one that's too powerful. You need to use one that's suited for 5 volts. It doesn't have to be the same brand, but it needs to be the same power output.
