I can't wait to ride it in Korea
Got one love it!
Do you know if adaptive cruise is available on the 2LT?
it's 44K BEFORE the tax credit, not WITH the tax credit. I also wish the HUGE under floor compartment in the trunk got some airtime.
That’s what I said. Under 40 with it
I guessed I found it confusing when I heard 44K even with the tax credit. That 44K is actually 36.5K. In MA it is 33K. Very solid deal.
and there are other incentives not to mention dealer discounts
@@bobgrenon1890 agreed- discussing the price without the tax credit makes no sense. No one is paying $45k for the model he drove.
@@shethjones4494 Lots of people don't qualify for the $7,300 tax credit because they make over $150K a year.
You should strike out that rear camera mirror from the feature list since that's one of the many announced items (like the wireless charger) Chevy decided not to put into the production car. Also, I'd like to see more people mention the shifter being on the right causing confusion, like when you put the car in neutral accidentally when pulling out and trying to wash the windows at the same time. Not sure why EV designers seem to have to try and reinvent everything (like the goofy door handles that constantly motor in and out for no reason when only the driver is getting in the car).
Weird that some production cars have the rearview mirror and some won’t?
No Bose premium sound system, wireless charger and rear camera mirror as of June 2024, very disappointing for the premium levels.
@@scottoakley6862 Don't forget the items documented in the owner's manual but not on the car like (capitalization is from being copied out of the manual): Auto Folding Mirrors, AC Power Outlet on the rear of the center console, Head-Up Display, and Surround Vision Recorder. Maybe they're holding off to have something new to show for the 2025 model year.
the shifter is on various GM vehicles as he said, including many gas powered vehicles.
@@default7950 the surround vision recorder is a feature that is not appearing on various models, not just this one. I never heard that was announced as a feature for the equinox.
I definitely agree with you if everything was 5 grand lower for the various Equinox EV trims I be all over it it's just a little out of reach for me.
I don’t think you’re alone in that!
i doubt anyone is going to pay sticker- unlike with a tesla you can get something lower than MSRP and there are numerous incentives out there.
@@shethjones4494 that's what I thought too and I went to four different dealerships no one was willing to come down because the car is so new they think it's going to be very hot. And there were no financing specials either you literally had to have an existing lease to take advantage of a lease offer they had and I never leased and bc I don't have an existing lease I wouldn't qualify. I even contacted Chevrolet directly and they said that each dealer sets their prices independently and so they couldn't help either.
@@mikeintampa250 well dealers do set their prices, that is no secret and the Equinox is new so things will change over time. There is also a $1k costco discount. Im sorry, but to me $37500 or so after tax credit isn't a lot in today's market when the average price of a vehicle is about 10 grand over that. If they could sell this for $5k less there would be no room for the Bolt- not only that, that would make it considerably cheaper than virtually every EV of this size. I think the pricing is about right when you factor in the tax credit- in fact the real world cost for the consumer isn't too far off the new 2025 gas version which tops out around $40k.
@@shethjones4494 I hear what you're saying, every time I looked up the Costco discount, and I am not a member, the fine print stated you had to be a member by the previous month so it's like they're trying to prevent people for signing up from Costco to get this discount. It's not a deal-breaker for me but I find it odd.
Lots of questionable information in this- GM did not say that they were dumping phone projection for safety reasons- I'm not sure why that was repeated sarcastically so many times in the video. The projection isnt used so that the apps in the car can be integrated with the car and give information about charging % and range, etc. It allows the navigation to be directly connected to the car and provide real time data about the car's range etc. Also, it was said that the Ioniq5 is offering better range and battery tech for less money- that is flat out wrong. The base trims of the Ioniq offer 303 miles of range and 225 hp vs 319 miles of range for the base Equinox EV with 213hp. The Ioniq has 77kwh battery standard vs 85 for the Chevy. I believe Tesla dropped their standard range Model Y but before they did that it offered a base level of range that was less than the Equinox EV. On top of that Teslas are famous for not being able to achieve their lofty epa range ratings while other manufacturer vehicles tend to have realistic or even underrated ranges.
Did you pause the video to read the press releases he showed in the video? GM actually did say that they eliminated Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for safety reasons because people tend to pick up their phones and fuss with them when they experience connectivity problems.
Thank you for realizing this. Tried to make it as obvious as possible…. But…
Definitely overpriced for what you get. ,no thanks
Yep, even the bZ4X has all the features Chevy left out for less than this car.
@@default7950 yeah and it has less range and slower charging too if Im not mistaken.
Hmm....I do not like the look of this EV whatsoever. It looks more like a BoltEV 2.0 more than anything.
I will stick to my plan of getting a BlazerEV instead. Looks WAY better.
I think they both look good. What trim blazer are you planning on getting?
@@BachmanAutoGroupLouisville unsure. As a Canadian I would love a AWD for our winters. However I want a sunroof and that’s only available in the RWD RS ( I don’t want a LT ) model.
Here is what I want
Red RS ( either red will do ) with red interior
AWD
Hitch with the bumper cover
Sunroof
i think they both look good
The "frunk" is under the trunk's floor, man. Come on. There are no frunks in any ICE vehicles anyway, so who cares! And f*ck that stupid Apple Car Play! 🙄
Tesla have cheap interiors, the model hasn't changed look in so many years, it's even ugly. Hyundai, well, it's crap. And you won't get the same range.
My 2024 model 3 interior is very premium. Plush everywhere. No plastic at all. And it looks better too. I like the equinox EV still and I think it’s a great option.
it cracks me up that someone would recommend you take a look at a tesla as a superior alternative to this and also whine about not having apple carplay when Tesla has NEVER had apple car play on any vehicle and likely never will offer it. Can't have it both ways. If that is a deal breaker why would anyone recommend you go look at a Tesla?
@@BachmanAutoGroupLouisville there is no car short of a bentley or something that doesnt have plastic or vinyl on the interior somewhere. All Teslas have plastic inside unless they have a full leather wrap option I've never heard of. If you have a tesla how can you knock Chevy for not offering phone projection?? That makes no sense.
