  • G’day from Rottnest Island, Australia! Today we are taking a ferry from Fremantle to Rottnest Island to explore beautiful white sand beaches and meet a new furry friend, the quokka!
Quokkas are the sweetest little marsupials famous for their smiles. Getting the perfect Quokka Selfie takes patience and a few insider tips. We will show you around this sunny island and let you in on the best way to get that perfect quokka selfie.
While on Rottnest Island we explore the Henrietta Rocks, Little Salmon Bay and more! We opted to rent bikes and we were so glad we did. Rottnest is definitely best explored on two wheels since no cars are allowed on the island.
We hope you enjoyed our Rottnest Island travel vlog and, as always, we’ll see you in our next video as we Keep Going Places!

Dont mean to put a damper on your enjoyment of Aussie wildlife. Travellers are understandably fascinated. But even though they look cute and flffy and irresistable theyre not like live teddy bears. Just friendly advice. Quokkas are macropods same family as wallabies and kangaroos. They do have cute faces but they dont smile. Thats just their face. Like koalas and kangaroos they sre cute and fluffy but unless youre in a wildlife park with rangers touching them is not adviseable as they can bite kick or scratch in return. A quokka bite can infect you with salmonella. And Ecologically theyre on the endangered list. So please just enjoy them from the distance they are comfortable with.
