I can't help thinking that Brian was thinking of Buddy Holly's "Raining in My Heart". The middle part of "The Surfer Moon" still gives me goose bumps. Bravo Brian.
@@spiffyflinger9174 correct,I had that single by Bob and Sheri, and it's every bit as good as this. If anyone hasn't heard it,there's some really good uploads of it here on YT.

This Song is the definition of Surf Doo-Wop
Thanks Jeff !! Never heard this before !!!
found out the opening was a harp played by Mike Loves sister

It is.
wonder what that instrument is that opens this song? anyone know?
I wonder the same thing. Im guessing a harp
Sounds like someone picking a violin to me.
ok
Harp
It's a harp. The same player who played the harp flourishes on Catch a Wave, Mike Love's sister.
Helps us RIDE IN; Not "Riding"...
When was this written???
my guess would be mid 60's
1963 written produced and arranged by Brian Wilson. Album: Surfer Girl.
