In this video, I go over the 3 most used mpc programs. In the MPC there are up to 6 different types of programs but we only need to know 2 to 3 programs to get started and start chopping up samples and putting together different drums we will use a drum program. then if you want to spread out a bass sample melodically we can use a key group program. And lastly, we have an instrument or plug-in program which will play back some instruments that the mpc comes with.

I been checking your channel for some time now. You always show something that is easy to learn and you explain it very carefully. Keep doing your thing Bro!
M F this means a lot and thank you so much for taking the time and sharing this with me. Much love and blessings to you 🙏🏽🙏🏽
I’m just getting my feet wet with my first MPC … the MPC Live 2. I am really enjoying the information, and the easy to follow style of your videos. Keep up the great work. Much appreciated. 👊🏾
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Walk on water!! You are the clearest teacher out here. Keep doing your thing bro!
lol, You’d be surprised how some people want to see you do some magic tricks with these machines lol. Appreciate you taking the time and hanging out with me in this video brother.
I love your channel and I appreciate you going through the details. I really appreciate you helping me get to know my machine better.
Hey brother, you have no idea how much this means to me and thank you so much for taking the time and watching some of my videos. Nothing but love and blessings to you 🙏🏽🙏🏽
@@malobeats I feel you man, as a fellow youtuber and someone that teaches music for a living on the internet I know how much comments like that can mean so I am very happy to share my gratitude with you. I always joke that my goal is to make a musician in every town so I always have someone to jam with but really spreading music is very similar to spreading love and a more musically literate world is a better world, so again I would like to say how much I appreciate it and I have been watching A TON of your content. My beat making skills are getting better daily.
Just wanted to say thank you for the videos you release. This one in particular has been so helpful for me. I got an MPC about a week ago with no prior knowledge about using one and with the help of your videos I'm starting to be able to navigate through it, albeit very slowly at this point. But every milestone feels like an accomplishment at this point, and I just wanted to let you know that I really appreciate your channel. 🙏🙏🙏
Soo greatfull that i found you 2 months ago, when i bought my LIVE 2.
I absolutly didn't Know shish!!! Because of you i feel free as a bird & in sync with the instrument (The best articulated teachings out there! LITERALLY) Godbless you & your family😇
O absolutely LOVE this tutorial bro, because I've been away from the MPC for sooo long, and I'm trying to remember the simple things, and this has been very VERY valuable!! Bless you bro, keep shining!!🙏🏾✊🏾💚
Great vid malo! Really informational for the mpc fam
Thank you very much mate ❤️I just own this mpc from Amazon and I'm glad you show basic information 🙏
I take a shot every time he says program, the EMPs are saying I should not be alive let alone able to operate a MPC.
I was waiting for this message hahahahah, one to many times lol 😂
😆
You’re paving the way, thanks my guy 🙏🏽
Wish this was out when I first copped my live. Watch em to see if I missed anything self learning
Fire 🔥 as always
Thanks lm learning so much from your videos please keep up the great work
THANK YOU!
Thank you so much Brother for all the tutorials, it’s been instrumental in me learning this platform, big respect!
Great video as always, thanks for sharing Malo!
Thank you brother, this means a lot 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Great video!
Great video and essential information for us beginners,
I’ve applied so much to my workflow since watching your channel and getting my Live 2, 2 months ago!🤟🏾👊🏾😎
Good Video dude. You explain very well and you dont skip a step which a lot of other MPC Gurus do. Keep up the good work!
Thank You so very much. 👍🏼🙏🏼👍🏼
This is dope bro! Got me messing with my MPC again
I liked how you made the Bass note a whole keygroup . I need to learn how to do that
Due to circumstances we hardly are able to sign in,but we have been watching your videos for quite sometime. Our team wanted to thank you for using captions, because sometimes we don't have time to listen in on the video and we are forced to read through your work. Good tutorial and run through about Distrokid ty. Peace, love and community #thezombieassassin
As someone who just purchased one your videos have been extremely helpful! Now only if I could get the expansions on the SD card fast enough so I can actually start playing with a thing it would be great 🤣 thanks again.
What you do is: go to the MPC software and go to “edit” I think( I’m not by my MacBook Pro) go to expansions. Then if you have your SD card connected to your pc or Mac go to the drop down where it says “Export” if your SD card is recognized, you can export them to your SD card. I will this helps!!!
Soy un sub de habla hispana y con solo unos cuanto videos tuyos me has ayudado a entender mas sobre esta poderosa maquina
Thnks for this video. It's great to come back to basics. Simple presentation very easy to follow and clear to understand. Advantage of MPC is that it is the same software, so all you teach is useful whatever rthe MPC we got. Take Care.
I appreciated the basics
Great and helpful video! I should use the key group more often. I always do it the oldschool way with 16 levels.
Excellent episode and very professional channel sir. #continueon #salute
Hey, this really means a lot and thank you so much for taking the time to share this feedback with me. Much love and blessings to you brother.
I've used and owned all of the first few MPC's during my music industry career. Earned 6 grammy nominations using those Akai tools and I still learned small nuances from you attention to detail with what you share. My pleasure to take the time to comment and be inspired to jump on the horse again. @@malobeats
Priceless information. Thank you.
Hey brother thank you so much for your suport, 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
@@malobeats how is the keygroup different from 16 notes when used for the bass like u did. thanks
You convinced me to get a Live II!!!
It should be here next week!
Oh man oh man !!!!!! Dude I’m so exited for you, your gonna love it. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions and just remember, take your time with it and have fun as you get comfortable with that machine. 🤜🏽🤛🏽
@@malobeats you’re incredible dude, thank you. If I hadn’t have your tutorials I’m not sure I would’ve been rocking it.
I’m not here to make your Mpc walk on water 💦 gets me every time 😂 much love to you bro
Great video man... teaching and reinforcing the fundamentals is great for all levels of mpc users
It’s so funny you mention this because there’s times where I get “beats block” And one thing that helps a lot is going back to the basics and remembering those days when I first started, that alone feels me up with so much inspiration.
@@malobeats yo man check out the channel by Andre Navarro... dude puts out the dopest records for sampling.. all 70s shit...
@@tonybalognavich2491 shhhhhhh don’t give away our secret source
@@__cal29 i only mention him to a select few
@@tonybalognavich2491 haha it’s all good man, I was just playing
Hey, I didn’t know we could slide the menu from the side (such as what you did at 5:15) instead of having to press the “menu” button. I learned an unintentional lesson from this video, lol. Thanks.
Good teaching bro
Thank you so much for taking the time and sharing your feedback.
If you feel like it would be dope if you take us on a studio tour/ setup ;) dope stuff as always :)
Would love to see a video about how to turn a good beat into a whole song 👍
I would love to see you make a beat and add acappella using audio track!
This would be so dope, haven’t thought of doing this. Ima get something going with some acappellas soon. 🙏🏽🙏🏽
🙏🙏🙏
Thank you brother
Gr8 vid, as usual! Thx! Any chance for the 7 pr discount for distro to work again ? Checked few minutes ago, doesn't apply
Hey brother, thank you so much for taking the time to reach out and yes, the link should still work as for the 7% discount. If it’s not giving you the 7% discount please let me know so I can get this sorted out right away. Hope to hear from you soon brother.
Hey awesome video bro, I’ve been eyeing the Mpc one to start my music career and I’m wondering if it would be a great move?
Absolutely, the MPC one is as powerful as the MPC live the only difference will be its portability and the number of I O it comes with but that’s just icing on the cake. Both machines are as powerful as each other and are more than capable
@@malobeats I appreciate it, you’ve made my mind up, I look forward to my growth and watching you’re videos down the line as well.
Clip program c est bien pour enchaîner les morceaux en live??
what are the monitors? Focals?
How many key group programs can l use at one time?
Drinking game: take a shot every time he says programs
👍🏾🙏🏾👍🏾😊

hey i have i question how do you connect sp404mk2 to your mpc one and record your live beat making into your daw
Hey brother, this is such a great question and thank you for taking the time to share this. I’ll be working on a video, showing his workflow. But to summit up for you really quick here, the way I would go about it is do all your mixing in your MPC then send the outputs into your 404 to give it that touch with the effects and coming out of your 404 into your interface to record it live. Hopefully this makes sense but I am definitely going to be working in a video showing this.
@@malobeats hey man what if i dont have interface and the interface that i am using is the sp404mk2 itself can i still connect it to my mpc one and use the effect on it while making beats ?
I’ve had no clue what “Clips” is used for
Clips it’s actually quite interesting and it’s similar to something like Abelton session view mode. I really have not found any use for it but it will allow you to put certain pieces together and launch different sequences based off of your pads in a clip mode, I know it sounds a bit confusing but I’ve tried to uses on some thing I would do but I haven’t really found a use yet
Malo what’s the name of that sample
What is the other device you have hook up 2 the mpc???
In this video I just have the MPC hooked up to the analog heat
@@malobeats thx chief
Thanks for the video! When would you suggest to use either key group, pad perform or simply 16 level to find/match/play a bass line?
Have you noticed the Auto Resample feature yet? You can loud up any vsti in the mpc software and auto sample it to be used in standalone mode! here's a video explaining it czcams.com/video/k9yBAfbczjs/video.html
6 programs are no problem. Amount of naming and routing is confusing.
This is almost like programming a computer to work and thats no fun.
Everybody teaching the same basic lesson. Nobody teaching an advanced lesson. Frustrating. Repetitive.
Yea man nothing advanced here, it’s pretty simple. There is other amazing channels that might be a bit more use full for the type of lessons you are looking for.
