I just want to thank you and Jah for keeping Vintage Hollywood and Nostalgia alive. As a collector of Silent & Early Talkie Films, Movie/Stage Memorabilia, and California Architecture, I frequently check CZcams for films I may have missed, and info on early Hollywood and surrounding areas that survived from the old days. Your video's are down to earth, information is right on, witty and talented! Since I no longer reside in the LA area, it's a big plus to watch your tours to some places I was not able to see years ago when I resided there. I'm glad I stumbled upon your site, I'm now a fan, keep up the great work!

Bravo! Applause is due to those who ensured Mack Sennett received just recognition -- and to you, Jordan, for taking us on this fascinating tour through layers of time.

Thank you for the great video and for the history. I grew up in that neighborhood. From 1976 to 1977 my mom owned a bar that was in the building on the southwest corner of Glendale Boulevard and Aaron St. Just a block away to the north from where you were filming. I went to Clifford Elementary School two blocks away. The house I grew up in is just up the hill on the new Alessandro Street. Back then my friend, the actor Courtney Gains (Malachi from Children of the Corn) lived on Duane Street across the street from the school.

Very cool man! I just purchased the Chaplin's Keystone Comedies dvd set from Flicker Alley. I always love seeing the "then and now" of a place.

You mentioned "Somewhere in Time," and I think it would be great if you would vlog (and stay at) The Grand Hotel. You would be the PERFECT storyteller for it! Mack Sennett is responsible for so much of Hollywood history and the movies of today. Thank you for keeping his memory alive. (I always wondered how they did those running scenes!)

Somebody painted Laurel and Hardy on the wall, but L&H never worked for Mack Sennett as a team(Hardy was in one Sennett short solo). Sennett didn't really discover W.C. Fields-the comedian made several films before he made those 1932-33 sound shorts for Sennett, and had been a star on Broadway.

Carole Lombard got her start after her car accident with Mack Sennett, story goes, because it didn't mind if she had the facial scars for comedy.
