This one has the original Baja paint, roof rack & ladder. I believe Quigley did the original conversions. These were $90-120K new. The 7.3 "Cornbinder" is a rare beast. The original brakes are "adequate" at best. Would love to hear more about your brake conversions. I hope you cover the other Chinook in your shop, there's LOTS of chatter in the FB groups about conversion. For some insight on their popularity, I bought my '98 2wd Chinook in 2019 for 21K. They're going today for $35k!
This is my rig. Found it in Wisconsin 2 summers ago. Like you said it has all the Baja extras except for the 4x4 conversion. The other difference is it is built on the Premier platform instead of the Concourse platform. There is an identical rig in the Seattle area that was at Quad van in Portland. Quad van did the conversion on it. There is a CZcams video of it out there. Didn't realize Chinook built Baja's that weren't 4x4. Always wanted one when they came out but they were between 120-150k new and I couldn't afford that back then.
@Maui Builder . You are probably correct on the price. They did have extras on the Baja's. Like I mentioned mine was built on the Premier platform so it's not as fancy inside. Also mine didn't have the diamond plate protection on the fuel and sewage tanks. Luckily the metal shop in Yakima that made all that stuff for the Baja's is still in business and they still have the buleprints of all that stuff. I had them build me the plates.
looking to get more info on running a dual wheel front axel. If you get a chance you should make a video on the tradeoffs between the dual wheel up front and the front super single. Also, could you use a larger 17" dual wheels and still have the 450 brakes?
The only reason to run the dually style wheel up front is to have the same tire front/rear. 17" wheels are hard to source for the E series because of the center bore, I'll have more info on that in a few weeks as we change up our wheel/tire setups for these RVs.
Awesome looking Rv. Love the lights up top and basket. I bet she’s a beast with the 7.3
Finally a chinook , that model is pretty sought-after i imagine
What great looking rv after the upgrades y’all done 👍💯🎉
So nice! Wish we could see the inside
Thanks! I'm sure there are some interior tours here on YT.

What was the cost? We have a 2003 and would like to do the same. Also how does it handle?
~25k for our turn key 4x4 swap plus goodies/extras.
