Star Citizen is an open development, crowd funded project from Cloud Imperium. Consisting of 2 games, Squadron 42 a single player, story driven campaign putting you in the middle of the Vanduul attacks as an up and coming UEE Navy pilot, and Star Citizen, a highly detailed
first person MMO set within a persistent universe where there are no limits. This includes, space, and ground aspects, massive spaceships with full interiors and interactions, a full dynamic economy which reacts to the players actions allowing for anything you can imagine.
It is all being built on the StarEngine (a modified version of Amazon's Lumberyard Engine).
Please bare in mind that this is heavily WIP and in an alpha state in which much of the foundational tech to make it a reality is still being developed. Both games do not have set release dates yet but you can play the alpha build for the PU MMO which makes consistent progress
with quarterly patch releases throughout the year.

I watch a lot of SC content. Nothing has gripped me like this series has. This is gold standard peak SC content. o7
I agree, this grounded gameplay is where star citizen needs to be headed.
I remember playing no man’s sky for example, the first tutorial mission was the most fun I had. After that you had almost no reason to be on a planet.
Star citizen feels similar to that.
Man I was playing the other day and I was at one of those pirate hidouts on Microtech. I had killed everyone and I was looting their bodies and I didn't realise they had added animals to the game and I shat myself when one of those horned dog things attacked me haha
all I can say when you're out there.... "walk swiftly.... and carry a big gun!"

Seriously! Those Kopions can be terrifying when they sneak up on you.
The crashes are frustrating right now. I tried for 3 hours to do some missions and every time I'd get close to completing one the server crashes. I hope they add mission progress to the crash recovery.
That sucks man, it can get infuriating. I've been lucky, I think I have only had 1 crash since 3.23 released still hitting the other normal bugs though haha
It's hard to get invested in the game at the moment due to how missions are currently implemented and the crashing.
they should honestly just remove missions that don't work, feel like I need a game wiki for just finding out if a mission is even completable and then like you say mission progress being saved on crash recovery.

Server crash or game crash? Cause my game tends to crash with directX instead of Vulkan.
@@Syphirioth I haven't had a crash to desktop yet with this patch. It's always been the server.
I have a Cuttlass Red and an MSR. Everytime you were wondering the weapons sizes, I kept saying 3 like you could hear me... lol
Brother you should try and hold a garage sale in game.
When 3.23 released I did a garage sale to get rid of everything I had previously so I could start fresh. It’s kinda hard to convince people to show up but you’ll get atleast 1 person which I think is worth it. And it’s pretty fun stacking everything onto my ship and giving them a location to arrive at.
(I had my friend in a fighter ship for security but it would be fun either way)
Mac you need to perfect pushing the small ships stuck in the air down . just stit your ship on top and slow push down .
Suggestion: As a salvager, I happen to notice a lot of abandoned vehicles around orbital markers. Maybe you should check orbital markers to see if there's any abandoned vehicles. I'd imagine it would take some time to get out there, but it shouldn't be impossible.
If you have a tractor beam. You can do a bit of hull scraping as well and or take of their components to see. Even if you can use them.
You could have flown the Cutlass away from the armistice zone, and then walked back to get your ship, flown out to the Cutlass again, and looted it there.

The crashes can be frustrating for sure. Another issue I have encountered 3 sessions in a row is having the Cutter just blow up while taking off out of Lorville. No impacts, no obstacles. Just blows up leaving the air barrier at the hangars.
It’s the hangar doors. On your screen they are open but in reality they are not. It’s happened to me and my friends a few times now.
If you really want to find lootables from ships, then you're in the wrong place. Yela's asteroid belt has soft death bounty ships to find. I found 6 yesterday just flying the circuit through the belt. They all had components/weapons to take, which you can sell I was told. I haven't tried though. Then there's asteroid clusters near OM points around moons. You can bet there are ships in some of them. Any ship in an armistice zone is a waste of time unless you can get in it and move it elsewhere. I've done that, at least.
Not only that, you can scrape them with multitool, and sell the small RMC thingies. Trying to hobo around planets is going to be tough. You can loot stuff to sell and get drinks/food, but you're not going to make millions any time soon.
I am so excited for the days when we can pull components and put them in our cargo storage at hangars and sell from there/transfer to other ships
Hopefully components will lock to cargo grids as well at that point.
It's not about the end goal it's like the old saying it's not the destination but the journey
would you be able to fly an open ship, like the Cutty black onto one of the landing pads and then use your multi-tool to remove weapons & components?
Very enjoyable! Feels like actual gaming. If there only was some more content or game loops like base building to life off-grid
I keep coming back to your Zero to Hero series. I’m practicing with boxes and they do seem to be explosive. The Pyro etc are flaky too. Hopefully be more reliable soon🤷🏻♂️✌🏼

Idk why not a backpack…? We know he’s checking the ships to find lootables. Why not backpack them out? It’s not any less realistic than some box…

And use that instead. It's a way to save yourself from the hassle but also be able to play zero to hero this patch

i can seem to make it 30 min in starcitizen 3.23 i would play for hours at a time in 3.22

A CTD isn't the PU, even if you were in it. That's a client side crash. Not to say it couldn't be something in the PU leading to it, like all those ships, but it is definitely on your end. Can't say without more info if it's software or hardware, though.

They need to remove / change artificial rerestrictions. So sick of armistice zones. They need to just make them crime Stat multiplyers. Also buff the hell out of the prison/ bounty system

yeha crashing is a big problem, and very inconsistent...
other day I was on for several hours without much issue... then when it finally did crash, i exited, joined another server and experienced 5 - 10 crashes in 4 hours of game time....
Yo can you tell me where that planet is, been trying to figure it out for hours now.
Too bad, I love this game but I feel the same way a lot of times. I just can't get anything done in the limited time I have. Once they have it set up so everything stays when you log out/crash it will really improve my quality of life.

You have set it to Vulkan in graphics or still DirectX?
I had several game crashes after like 1 hour with directX. Tried Vulkan and had 0. Tried DirextX again. Got 1 within a hour. Tried Vulkan again and was like 6+ hours in the game without probkems.
You should know by now after a new patch everything acts crazy for like a month.
This whole patch has been such a mixed bag. Can only hope they figure it out with the hotfix or in 23.2

Not sure how viabke this is for this kind of gameplay. But the kopion hunting missions are a great money maker.
all you need is a pistol or rifle.
and im not sure the RP would fit this, but you can grab 8 rifles and 12 pistols from the DC ground strance guard rooms.
So this gives you, a weapon, ammo and 5K each time you hunt 15 kopions, wich are easy to find.
this however might make Zero to hero too easy. Specialy if you simplh steal guard room weapons and sell them.
(easy 7K in weapons in each room, and each DC has 4 of them, so around 30K in weapons each trip).
