I just commented the same thing. At first I didn't have pins, so I used paper clips until I got pins. And now I only pin close to the stitching..not all in the middle of the mask like in the video.
I enjoyed this video. I have made many pleated mask but don't like them because they take to long. I like this kind better. I'm a little confused on the 3Cm . We do inches. Thanks.

When you wash the mask the material shrinks when it dries and that makes the threads to come back together.
A perfect pattern for a mask. Simple yet effective and easy to follow instructions. Thanks so much.

If you google "3 cm to inches," it will calculate the inches for you, or for any other measurement. Very convenient!
Clips would be better to use instead of pins. Its creating extra holes in the fabric thats meant to filter out germs

Nice video...but I thought poking holes in the material with pins is counterproductive & will compromise the mask. Please use the material clips...
You can also iron or finger press the hem on the inner lining before sewing.
