So phase 2 has been out for nearly 2 months now so it’s very likely that phase 3 will drop at some point in the middle or towards of April next month. And you’re probably wondering what will phase 3 entail?
Well there have been many minor leaks and datamined information in which we can make some pretty decent educated guesses.
The new raid is more or less confirmed and a recent email survey blizzard sent out hints that pve content in sod could change forever.

SoD is perfect for us 30-40 year old dads who don’t have a lot of time to play. These hardcore work from home min/maxers need to stop complaining about lack of content. Season of Dad craft needs to stay casual for our benefit. IMO!

I agree, frankly they need to make it easier so the casual Dad gamers can get into raid groups by toning down the difficulty and time commitment without having to provide 99 parse logs, ideal spec, consumes, world buff, etc.
Maybe just make 2 raid difficulties, Easy-mode 10-man (LFR type difficulty) no craziness. For those who want to casually see the content the one night a week they can raid when the wife and kids are asleep.
And then a true "heroic" 20-man for the sweaty neckbeards who feel like they have to prove something by parsing and speed running.
i have a full time job and absolutely have 30 plus days playtime between 2 characters
Wish theyd just have it as 10 & 20 man versions, we have a good dad guild and the 10 man stuff has been enjoyable but we will quit when the 40 man stuff comes as we dont want to spend days recruiting for a raid only for people to no show and all of the other stuff that comes with it.
Anyone complaining about reducing raid sizes, classic era is still there and still active.

The SoD team defo needs to make prot wars wielding 1hand + shield generate more threat. I cannot keep aggro on my very well geared war, even on some boss encounters in Gnomer... On my Shaman tank it's a piece of cake.
Warrior is over. They ruined it in phase 2 and clearly have no intention or idea of how to improve it.

I think heroics are a great idea to give the players who despise 20-40 raiding content to run. I loved Scholomance and Stradtholm. Those along with BRD, BRS, and Diremaul all make great options for heroics. If they really wanna get wild perhaps some caverns of time shenanigans for new dungeons down the line?
Sounds good to me, as long as the best loot in the game is not locked behind a mythic or heroic difficulty raid then I am all for it. Heroic 5 mans that has similar or slightly worse loot than the raids would be perfect.

Spring equinox happened, so farming squid will stop being an option within a couple days.
Horde has no contest in both PvP and PvE thanks to Shamans. And Blizz is sleeping whole month to this fact.
Been an Alliance player ever since the day I started playing WoW over 10 years ago, but I made a shaman to see how "broken" they actually are in SoD, and.. They truly dominate all aspects of PvP and PvE, only resto is falling a bit behind on metrics but they have a great toolkit

Shadow priests are for ve, its group healing is insane then a restokin. So basically no healer needed at all if you played right.
regarding the tier list
Think boomy, shadow, arcane mage being B tier as far as raw dps goes is fine since a lot of raids like having them for off / group heals.
Shadow especially can easily take the place of a second healer in the raid with a decent group.
enhance being top dps is a bit questionable
Heriocs will give extra content and replayability for Dungeons. Would also like to see a way to grind WSG rep through world event in Ashenvale similar to the Stranglethorn Lumber in Blood moon event. It keeps events relevant.

Already is you can get all the way up to revered with Ashenvale then have a weekly quest past that.
IMO, this would be a good way of doing dungeons/raids/gear lvl for p3:
(For this example, Gnomer BiS has a score of 75/100)
-Lvl 50 dungeons drop 70 and some 80 lvl items.
-An easy 3 day lockout 10m. Drops 90 gear and some 95 pieces. A few bosses' loot table has one or two 100 lvl piece.
-A slightly harder 7 day lockout 20m. It drops 95 and more 100 lvl pieces.
Relatively difficult Heroic dungeons that drop 80-90 lvl pieces, a few 95 lvl pieces, and a gold reward and/or low to very low drop chance vanity items (mount, flavor items)
This would give the majority basically the best gear available on their 7 day lockout, very good gear on their 3 day lockout (but not completely necessary) and occasionally try to go for those hard Heroics.
It wouldn't give super sweaties an advantage, but it might give them some items to /flex with and some additional content to do so they don't get bored.
The Heroics should be the hardest content available, some harder than others.
Its too much gear. We shouldnt be full BiS in 3 lockouts

@chandlerstroud5082 it's hypothetical, I don't mean "put all p3 bis gear behind three instance portals".
It should be flexed over maybe some rep/pvp stuff as well, multiple dungeons, etc.
Mostly what I'm trying to suggest is: give us a 7 day lockout as the most important one to hit; if they do heroics - make them difficult but not necessary; and give a 3 day lockout that gives good gear, but not better than the other two.
My current gripe is that the 3 day lockout can be a chore to schedule around for a guild if they want to hit every lockout.
I like 3 day lockouts, but I prefer them to be something that are very casual and extremely easy to pug; faceroll content that is as easy as finding an SM cath run.
7 day lockouts are much easier for guilds to organize around. So the main raid of the phase should be on a 7 day lockout. It's consistent, easy to plan ahead for and it's more fun if it takes a slight amount of progression, but once it's been cleared a couple times the guild can easily put it on farm. Black Temple comes to mind, it was a really fun raid, it took avg to decent guilds 2-3 weeks to progress, and then they pretty much cleared it every week without too much issue.
The fights were still fun, and a slight challenge, but once some of the gear was there it was mostly a matter of "ok, now let's work on how fast we can clear, and get the alt raid clearing"
Then -I do very much like hard content - but I don't like the best gear gatekept behind it.
Everyone wants BiS and will piss and moan if a run is going badly that prevents them from getting it.
This is where I see a lot of toxicity from players - a geared grp with a good comp can clear the instance with ease, but a group of alts or a sub-optimal comp have a very tough time getting through because they are missing one dispeller or windfury or have a less geared off-tank.
I've seen a lot pugs get overly aggro when:
"This is the easiest content ever. This whole group is so bad. I faceroll this content (when i have two kicks, two dispellers, windfury, a boomkin for casters, triple paladin buffs, a near-bis tank and geared heals).
I don't think the main raid of the phase should demand near-perfect comp or amazing gear to have a decent run.
IMO, save the hardest stuff for optional, but incentivised content. People like a challenge, so they can seek it out.
That's where heroics come in. You can make them as hard as you want if you offer flavor items (like a mount, or a really fun/cool trinket) or something like a decent gold reward and people will do them.
If they offer the best gear ppl feel obligated to do them. If they offer "meh" gear no one touches em.
Just ideas. We'll get w/e we get.
I'm over the main raid being on a 3 day lockout tho. At least make them reset every Tue/Sat instead so we don't have this dumb floating 3 raid week that throws everyone off randomly.
Free loot piñatas are counterintuitive to the spirit of MMOs. Stop forcing everyone to cater to the unskilled. It's nothing to do with playtime and everything to do with intelligence.

Not really sure Phase 3 is going to change anything if I'm honest, going to be the same as P2, didn't see anything in the vid to imply otherwise or any of the leaks, that said I think that's a good thing as I've enjoyed it. lol the boss was easy to summon and coordinate. Did it MANY times during classic wow with pugs just fine. Also I wish they would keep 10 man raids till max lvl then make them 20 or 25 man raids.
Yeah it's really odd they are swapping the size in p3. Gonna be interesting to see how smaller guilds adjust. Hoping it transitions smoothly but recalling WoD it absolutely killed off the playerbase

Im the same way now... its to easy and there is nothing to do after the raid.... BFD loot was basically pre-BiS so... we hit 40 walked in and raided.... tooooooo EZ ... not enough content

M+ for SOD would be awesome
Personally prefer to keep SOD closer to Classic rather than retail but I suppose it depends on the loot tables. If the very best gear is locked behind M+ then no thank you I would not like that addition. If it's equal gear to the normal raid or just transmogs then I honestly don't mind.
@@zjeee Yeah agreed that they shouldn't lock the bis gear behind the higher keys, but it would be dope to have timed keys to compete vs others on your server etc. I personally find the raidlogging boring af after the first 10-15 raids.

If SoD doesn't release something new for wow classic, I probably won't play it at all! the new runs were fun but they need more discovery events! new bosses, new dungeons, put 1-2 new elite bosses in every single 5man instance, they create something new in the game! "Heroic mode is in the right direction but don't nerf them! make them brutally hard!
Heroic dungeons I think should have either cosmetic things that farm after or items, but then items should be as rare as possible! When you put in lots of new epics, you destroy the meta in the game! Then it's better that blizzard further develop the epic items that already exist! there are tons of epic totally worthless in vanilla!

@cnc-khronus I don't know that it's a great idea to add mythic/heroic at the same time they release a new raid plus molten core plus Onyxia plus zg plus aq20 plus potentially more raids if they don't do them in phases. Like yea the causal experience of doing 5 raids a week plus needing to do heroic to get prebis gear
@cnc-khronus imagine the struggle to find a good tank to run heroics after 8-12hrs a week a them tanking raids. Plus if one heroic drops a ton of good gear for a few classes but not mich for heals or tank they'll never wanna run that one

Well as much as I agree with you a large chunk of the playerbase are retail players so it's not surprising they are trying to balance it towards both classic and retail. Personally I would prefer if they were closer to Classic but hey it is what it is.

lol no, phase 3 will be the exact same as phase 2, first week will be fun and have lots of groups forming while regular dudes wont even hit level cap for like 2-3 weeks and after that first week its will become a parse fest where you cant find a group without prior experience. This game is not for regular folks anymore just dudes who spend 5 hours a day playing non stop in order to get bis and parse lol its a disaster...so done with this game in every form.
heres an idea....JOIN A GUILD its really not that complicated
It's all in your head though, nobody is forcing you to group up with the parse-lords. Join a guild with people who don't care about parsing and all your problems are solved. Although that would require you to actually look for a solution to your problem and perhaps that is too much to ask.
@@zjeee Guilds who don't care about parsing don't exist anymore. The entire mid core of the game either became a sweat who plays 5+ hours a day or quit the game. All that's left are sweats and people who don't care about pushing content. anyway have fun in sod..I give it two weeks until servers are ghost towns. Addons need to be deleted or this stupid fucking stupid parse culture will continue..not even a game at this point lol have fun at work.

SOD has been utter garbage from the start, but you guys hang in there and keep telling yourselves it will get better even though we all know deep down it never will. SOD sucks and people say there has never been a better time to play wow with so much to choose from but every option completely sucks and every dev team working on wow is failing immensely! Unsubbed and deleted, I wish they would fix the game hence why I watch these vids but I have really just learnt to accept the game is so bad and needs to just die
