Dexter is a win, so adorable. I have never heard of prairie dogs as pets and I love it! Duncan is also a cute name
Because itâs nit really ethical to keep them as pets. They need a lot of room and should always be held as a couple of at least 2 because they can die from loneliness of not having a partner. But the worst part is that they usually arenât bred in captivity but captured in the wild as babies :( which probably explains why they are expensive. Buying from pet shops like this supports animal cruelty sadly bur there arent a lot of laws protecting animals in japan :(
Yea that's for a reason. Like lions, tigers, bears and otters, prairie dogs are wild animals that aren't meant to be pets and there's like a thousand other domesticated alternatives that would be better suited for a home

I had 3 prairie dogs growing up, Frisco, Belle, and Gizmo, such lovely babies, they are so affectionate and they would bark when i came home from school and such. Strongly recommend and hope you can expand the Sundai Fambam. xD
