1 cup warm water
1 tsp salt
2 TBS each honey, olive oil, and butter
3 cups AP flour
3 tsp vital wheat gluten

Nothing wrong with abridged versions for kids, at all! I read an abridged version of Anne of Green Gables in not even two days when I was in second grade and absolutely fell in love with it. I still feel like Anne is a kindred spirit of mine. Later read some other abridged versions of Austen books and particularly loved Pride and Prejudice(that would've been fourth or maybe fifth grade and I remember staying up reading with a blanket stuffed by my door so I wouldn't get in trouble). Good introduction for a little girl, for sure! ❤

I wish I could find an air fryer that was stanless steel rather than non-stick coated. 😢 I had one and tried to ignore the fact that it was non-stick and in the end I got rid of it because I couldn’t get past it and I wasn’t using it as a result. Adorable picnic basket and yay for a fantastic thrift shopping trip! 🎉
I don’t have an air fryer myself,but I think you can buy liners for the basket. ( I don’t know what the liners are made of though,does anyone know if you can cut a little parchment liner to put inside?)
@@lauramitchell6725 because I don’t know and that I do is hard to come by, I use parchment paper with reservation and only when necessary.
The basket type of air fryers are non-stick but the oven swing door ones are stainless steel!
The flowers are gorgeous.
Loved Finn laying in the shade - dogs are smart. I found a tulip shaped pitcher/vase thrifting too and was just thrilled! I gave away my air fryer when I got a Cuisinart toaster/fryer
for Christmas but am not happy with the toasting part. Takes too long & can be like a cracker😟even after dialing down. Anyone

I own two air fryers (different sizes) and love them. Pros: doesn't heat up the kitchen in warm-weather months; fast; easy. Cons: Size. My kitchen is small and my fryers take up a lot of space. I have to store them on the floor of my pantry and haul them out every time I use them.
I love that your girls are tending to the garden. It's such a wonderful skill. Wonderful day that shared with us.

Looks to me as if you’re having a wonderful summer so far. Here in the UK although we’ve had some sunny days it is still rather chilly and too cold to eat outside yet. My children are grown but I like to remember the long summer days of the school holidays. Enjoy your summer Xx

I remember when I spent 3 months in Bristol to improve my English during the summer and took all “summer clothes” but I had to use my sweatpants, sweatshirts and jeans like every other day and all the locals were practically in swimwear 😂.
@@cecilebayardo9118 you’re right as soon as the sun comes out we all go crazy to wear summer clothes. My sister in law lives in Florida and if she visits us in the summer we’re all in shorts and skimpy tops and she’s in wooly jumpers and a thick coat

Your biscuits look fantastic! since I moved to the northeast from the south I feel like mine don't come out as good as they used to,lol. I know above the ground pools are not the prettiest thing but since you have a pretty flat area of lawn you might want to try it. Then you wouldn't have to throw away/reinvest in a new one every year. Our yard is not level at all and it took work to make it flat but every year the grandkids love swimming in our pool. And after getting all hot in the garden I use it a lot too! Just an idea. I always enjoy your videos thanks for making them while you are so busy!

Green beans are good to rotate with tomato’s because you don’t want to put tomatoes in the same spot each year. Beans add nitrogen, which tomatoes take out. Green beans are also easy to grow as long as you don’t let pests eat the leaves.

I love classic starts for transitioning into chapter book reading. My kids have loved everyone and are able to read independently with them.
I love it. Our thrived so much better when we had a summer routine. My kids are all young adults now or almost an adult but when they were younger I loved having some sort of flexible structure. I found we had a lot more fun and nicer experiences.

I have the same air fryer, and I love it so much. I use mine daily, I toast my bread in it, and it’s really great, no need for a toaster anymore. Haven’t made bacon, but I sure will. Have a great summer with the kids🌻

The Road to Avonlea tv series is wondeful for children. Have your kids ever read the All of a Kind Family book series by Sydney Taylor or the Betsy Tacy books by Maud Hart Lovelace? Breadmaker: I just offered my breadmaker to my son's girlfriend,...it is almost new, but I haven't used it in quite some time, as my kids are out of the house, and me and the hubs don't eat much actual sandwich bread! I am simplifying my small appliances.... I can always make small batch/by hand, scones, cornbread, and biscuits, as you do if I need a 'side' for soup. Love your channel, so calming and peaceful! Will you be taking your family to the Cod again this summer? Love those videos!!

Where did you get the beautiful tablecloth with a zipper? I used to could find them but not anymore and everyone has an umbrella hole. I just love your videos. I got very upsetting news about a family member who is going off the rails, I have to put it all in God's hands and trust He will help me navigate this latest crisis and let God Himself take care of my loved one, but it's so hard to see someone you love mess up their life. All that to say, it's so good for my soul to sit down and see such lovely normalcy, it helps ground me. The extraordinary beauty of ordinary life.
