- This past season, when it came time for our Texas sandhill crane hunting trip, it was time for a "Field Trip". With remote learning and no baby sitter, it was the perfect opportunity to get the kids in on their first crane hunting experience. As always, the hunting at Premier Sandhills was second to none and the kids got an awesome experience chasing cranes.
Unfortunately, this is our last trip with Brent Fowlkes of Premier Sandhills as he passed away this year. Thanks for the memories Brent and for sharing your love of crane hunting.

I had a similar experience with Brent. Short FB message and a few phone calls before I meeting him at a gas station at zero dark thirty.
He was one of the most positive, friendly and generous guys I’ve ever meet. I’ll always remember our few hunts together.
I miss him.
Wow looks like peta is all over your channel. Thanks for the great content. I always look forward to your next video.
I'm real close here in west texas but havent crane hunted yet..sad right?? LOL. What Shot size and choke do yall recommend for them? Im seeing a few smaller flocks fly by when im deer hunting and would like to try my luck on them. Maybe even try a dedicated hunt for them. Any advice and tips appreciated from your experiences. I cut out 6 decoys out of some plywood and got them painted up. Gonna make a few more next week and see if I can pull some in.Thanks! Sad to hear about the loss of the Outfitter. We make friends with the guys we hunt with, and those memories stay with us the rest of our life.
Like everytime, Great video!
it was each exceptional 🇧🇷🇧🇷
I had the opportunity to speak to Brent on several occasions. Sadly, his condition required that our trip was canceled and he passed away before we got to meet in person. It was a privilege to learn from him and pray with him during his illness. God bless your family Brent. Thanks to our mutual belief in Christ, I’ll see you in Heaven one day.
Had to shut it down halfway through the film. Way to loud screaming every time you called to shoot. Very disturbing.
Disturbing?
@@OutdoorsUnlimted Yeah. That confused me also.
About halfway through, the guide's yelling "we're done" and then y'all have more clips right after, did that one just get in out of order, or what happened?
We were cycling groups through the blinds. That clip was the last birds for that group.
Makes sense, thanks for clearing that up. Another awesome video!
@@collinculberson202 you bet. Thanks for watching.
How disgusting.Shooting such slow and big birds. Never mind if too many
or harvest damaging, whats the use of shooting at a bird one cant miss ??
Local habits probably. Next try deaf and blind bisons. Two centruries ago
they nearly got extinct....
