- Our journey to Iceland in #campervan continues, we are in Southern Bohemia (in Czech Jihočeský kraj) a region of the Czech Republic, located in the southern part of the historical region of Bohemia, with a small part in the south-west of Moravia.
It is characterized by many lakes and ponds, such as Lake Lipno where we stopped for 2 days. They are almost all artificial, the result of human reclamation; it was originally a marshy area.
Cesky Krumlov is a city in the Czech Republic located in the South Bohemia region. It is famous for its beautiful ancient and charming historic center. There are many things to see and do in Cesky Krumlov.
For example, Cesky Krumlov Castle is a very popular attraction that is worth visiting. The Castle Tower offers a panoramic view of the city and its surroundings. Seminarni Zahrada is a botanical garden that offers panoramic views of the city and the Vltava River. The Historic Brewery is another interesting place to visit if you are a beer enthusiast. There are also many other things to do and see in Cesky Krumlov, such as trips on the Vltava River on a traditional boat, visits to the Egon Schiele Art Centrum museum and free city tours. we also went to the Sumava national park. The Šumava National Park (in Czech Národní park Šumava) is a national park located in the south-west of the Czech Republic. Established in 1991, it takes its name from the mountain range of the same name which marks the border between Germany and Austria and which is included in the park area.
